@@Rforge I'm so excited about motion ever since I heard about it as project avalanche. So excited that you do great tutorials on it. I hope you get blessed for it
the benchmark for tutorials. no hand holding, no intro, no "without further ado", just a pure schizofrenic rant getting things done.
Amazing job! How to project shadows and reflections of the object on the floor?
Hi
So because we are using an unlit / emissive material on the floor the shadows won't show, if you use a non unlit / lit material the shadows and reflections will show
but the materials created with material deisger are not emissive, correct? They don't shine on on other objects... Is there a solution for that? Thank you!
👍cool
I have a texture on wrong side od my scene where i is angle i have black other side i have texture
Is there a way to use shapes in the scene like mattes? I've been getting familiar with the motion design tool and I noticed people are importing mattes into the project but I was wondering if there's a way to create your own mattes with shapes similarly to after effects shape layers.
Hi Shaun here, I'd love to see an example of this or ones that your seeing online
The official version 5.4 has been released, but the multi-layered effect of the motion design material designer cannot be saved. After saving the model generated by SVG, the software will close and the axis center position will automatically deviate when opened, and other bugs have not been resolved...
Too NB! Directly completing the post synthesis steps in one step saves time----It's just that the material designer added a copy layer and cannot save it
Also! be very careful while saving when you use the material designer sometimes FX will lead to a project that cannot save!

Can these creations be used as widgets? UMG feels archaic and dysfunctional after watching this.
Since its quite new and (i can see a number of things are being implemented like Blurring) I don't see why UMG (which btw stands for Unreal Motion Graphic Designer) wont merge with what we are seeing here

Can I animate 2D characters?
Yup, you may need to rig them first but you can with control rig
Is this same like grease pencil?
