They have bad writers with agendas so expect it to take 7 seasons to tell about half the dialogue and ideas from the books. Better yet: Just buy and read the books so the shows can function as a cool way to see Henry Cavill visualize the fight scenes. Beyond that they're gonna turn this into selling dolls to girls within a year or three.
Not enough episodes to properly grow the development of characters, without proper development nobody is going to care what happens to them. Why do you think the books and the games were long? Because the story needed to be told that way
Little odd that they left this scene out. It's 35 seconds, no extra post production or VFX needed, and Netflix isn't beholden to strict episode times like network television. I don't think the show absolutely needed this to make sense, but I felt like this scene was missing in terms of the flow of Triss's character arc. There's times cutting a scene makes sense, but with Netflix shows unless a scene really doesn't work or is highly redundant it doesn't make a ton of sense to cut em.
it's almost like they know all book and game fans are bored of this version of Triss already. and you can't blame us or make it solely about the race re-casting, the show writers appear bored of her too or they'd have had her riding geralt as soon as she arrived in kaer morhen, before they destroyed half of it for no reason and ruined what ciri represents.

Henry Cavill is quickly taking a very high spot on my favorite actor's list. The guys can take criticism of the show and understand it's not himself that fans are angry at and that it actually comes from a place of love for the source material. He doesn't partake in fan bashing which shows he has far more class than 95% of American actors and nearly the entire cast of GoT. He's an excellent actor and I don't think anyone could have fit the role better. I can actually see myself watching a movie (once again) just because Henry Cavill is in it, and there hasn't been an actor worth that in a long time.

Her hair is actually subject of many arguments online, it's surprising how many people are willing to argue about fictional woman's hair color, I think that at this point only Sapkowski could resolve this.

Showrunner said it will be almost same story as books. They should have to it like that, because what they did to story and some chracters is awful. I get that someone who hasn't read the books can like this season, but some things are so badly done and some characters act totally different and how they would never act in books!

Follow the books or at least do it in a 50% ffs.
Lets set aside the fact that I was really disappointed in Season 2, for two reasons. First the deviation from the books which was severe. Since you have filmed it, why not put it in the show? It shows more depth, don't focus so much on fights and magic, dialogues, ambience and character development matter the most
The main problem with series is all the actors seems to overact all the time, it's like they're all auditioning for joker or something, it gets boring after a while.🙄
Yen is 150 yo, and Ciri is only 14-15. Why does Yen treat Ciri as her mate ? She should treat it from the perspective of an adult with a lot of experience. Let's not forget that! Yen was a blast in season 1, and this season she comes off as a warm fuddy-duddy. Nothing comes together. I'm terribly disappointed. I don't mind the changes in the script, and the fact that it's different from the book. What would this movie be if there weren't any changes? But you still need to improve.
I think Ciri is 13. Last season in 1x07. Geralt shows up at centra to check on his child of surprise. He ments Moutaack in the tunnel and Moutaack says something like how Geralt hadn't step foot in cintra since 12 years ago. That was when he asked for the desiney of surprise something like that and that Queen calanthe daughter throws up and everyone finds out she's pregnant. That was in 1x04. So She either 13 or 14. Not much time past from 1x08 and 2x01.
Also Yen just met Ciri. As she doesn't have her powers she can't look into Ciri's mind to find out who she was. She didn't really know who she was otherthan her being Geralt child of surprise. She thought that Ciri was just a normal girl with a family somewhere that Geralt claimed. On their trip they did have some sweet moments that showed Yennefer's mother side. But they where kinda overshadowed by the fact that Yen was still leading Ciri to the deathly mother. In the book Yen first was wierdy jealous of Ciri and Geralt even though they where only father and daughter. Than she became her mentor and mother. I think they replace that Jealousy with this betrayal to bring them together. But Yannefer became a mother to Ciri at the end of 2x08. I think being a mother to Ciri will make Yen grow up and mature into the character from the book.

This Horror Show Shows Who We Are
A student of mine told me about a new show called “Squid Game.” It is a South Korean “thriller series,” as they call it, which has become a pop culture phenomenon and is the no. 1 show in more than 90 countries. The show presents several hundred people who are all in great financial debt and in dire emotional states. The producers pit them against each other, even if they are very close, and make them hate each other. The winner takes millions of dollars, and the others are killed. This show wouldn’t be so horrifying if it didn’t portray our true nature. The very fact that we watch such a show enthusiastically is proof that underneath the “civilized” façade, our nature is as the show depicts.
It works like a magnet. We love to watch the struggle between good and evil, as long as we are safe from the consequences of the battle. The thing is that in this show, there is no good; there is only evil.
Indeed, humans are the worst being in reality. What makes us so uniquely evil is the fact that we explicitly want to harm others. We do not want to eat others because we will starve unless we do so; we want to see them suffer! We derive pleasure from others’ pain, and derive the most pleasure when we are the ones inflicting it.
We often say that reality is like a jungle, where the strong eat the weak. However, in the jungle, the strong do not want to destroy the weak; they want to eat. Once they are full, they want to sleep and play, and not kill or hurt for fun. In the human jungle, we do not want to eat other people; we want to see them hurting! This is why the natural jungle thrives without any laws while the human jungle, which we mistakenly refer to as “civilization,” is disintegrating despite the laws that strive to limit our barbarity.
If we had any hopes of finding goodness in human nature, “Squid Game,” and mainly its popularity, proves that we have nothing to hope for when it comes to human nature. If we can create such shows, and if they can be so popular, then we can do such horrors in real life.
The only possible good that can come out of such a show is the realization that it is not fantasy, but an authentic depiction of who we are. Maybe if we realize this, we will be willing to do something about changing ourselves.
The current trend is to dull our awareness of the human horror show we live in by making cannabis available and legal. Indeed, the more we learn about human nature, the more we realize that perhaps it is better to numb ourselves through life until it’s over.
For now, we’re cheering at the sight of other people suffering, much like people used to cheer at the sight of poor men fighting against lions in ancient Rome. Only if we realize that it is not okay to be like that, our minds might open to other options. If such a diabolical program can be the no. 1 show in more than 90 countries, it means that the entire world is immersed in unhinged viciousness.
There is a solution, but it is demanding and must encompass the entire world if it is to succeed. To change who we are, we must initiate a worldwide educational process where such programs are forbidden and pro-human-connection programs are produced and aired. Even if they are not popular, at first, we cannot allow ourselves to be exposed to the violent poison and culture of narcissism that we consume today. They may be sweet, but they are lethal.
If people don’t want to watch shows about human connection, they can put aside their media devices and simply talk to one another. This will already be a major improvement to the current situation.
It may not sound like fun, but what is the option? To live out the “Squid Game.” Besides, after some practice, we will discover that connection and care are far more rewarding and pleasant than destruction and cruelty, and do not carry the negative side effect that is our current culture..
Since you have filmed it, why not put it in the show? It shows more depth, don't focus so much on fights and magic, dialogues, ambience and character development matter the most
Triss is probably the more logical but something about those raven haired women.....

The main problem with series is all the actors seems to overact all the time, it's like they're all auditioning for joker or something, it gets boring after a while.🙄
Yen is 150 yo, and Ciri is only 14-15. Why does Yen treat Ciri as her mate ? She should treat it from the perspective of an adult with a lot of experience. Let's not forget that! Yen was a blast in season 1, and this season she comes off as a warm fuddy-duddy. Nothing comes together. I'm terribly disappointed. I don't mind the changes in the script, and the fact that it's different from the book. What would this movie be if there weren't any changes? But you still need to improve.
I think Ciri is 13. Last season in 1x07. Geralt shows up at centra to check on his child of surprise. He ments Moutaack in the tunnel and Moutaack says something like how Geralt hadn't step foot in cintra since 12 years ago. That was when he asked for the desiney of surprise something like that and that Queen calanthe daughter throws up and everyone finds out she's pregnant. That was in 1x04. So She either 13 or 14. Not much time past from 1x08 and 2x01.
Also Yen just met Ciri. As she doesn't have her powers she can't look into Ciri's mind to find out who she was. She didn't really know who she was otherthan her being Geralt child of surprise. She thought that Ciri was just a normal girl with a family somewhere that Geralt claimed. On their trip they did have some sweet moments that showed Yennefer's mother side. But they where kinda overshadowed by the fact that Yen was still leading Ciri to the deathly mother.
In the book Yen first was wierdy jealous of Ciri and Geralt even though they where only father and daughter. Than she became her mentor and mother. I think they replace that Jealousy with this betrayal to bring them together. But Yannefer became a mother to Ciri at the end of 2x08. I think being a mother to Ciri will make Yen grow up and mature into the character from the book.
