Oh they are definitely going to battle. Painting is what you do alone while dreaming about finally having a chance to use your little army men with another geek. As an adult, the chances to play are few and far between, but the painting is a relaxing hobby you can use to unwind.
@@wayward-saint wait, my colleague have regular wars with his friends (but now they switch from Warhammer to Magic the gathering xD), I do believe they play at least twice a month. If you have right people around (as geek as you ;) ) it is not so hard to gather them to play

henry would be the perfect ultramarine astartes..the movie saga is way overdue..it combines pretty much every fantasy and sci fi epic out there..even the alien xenomorphs ....it must be dark and epic but with more brute force than dune....the horus heresy must tremble..the dark animation shorts from 1-2 years ago are the perfect atmosphere/storyboard

After seeing Henry get "asked" about his hobbies on so many interviews just so they can joke about them, it's very refreshing to see him being asked by an interviewer who understands the hobby AND learning Joey is also into it.

Would it though? I don´t know whats up with GW to be honest. Like they bring out 1 crappy animated movie and then some okay to horribly bad games and call it a day. Their universe has sooooo much potential yet they never seem to be willing to commit to invest into some tripple A game or an actually well produced movie. So while I agree this idea is a no brainer, i'd say tripple A games, movies or a series on Netflix would be a no brainer as well, yet they never did it.
@M S ye i know. Like i said there are a few good ones here and there. The Dawn of war 1 games, battlefleet gothic armada 1 & 2, space hulk tactics and space marine are some examples. However no triple A game yet. Imagine a game like red dead redemption but in the 40k universe. That would be so cool.
@@hermaeusmora424 It's not really that 40K make bad games etc. Problem is GW just throw their licencing away to anyone! If a good studio gets it... you get a good game. If a random gets it, you get a random piece of crap. The best thing GW should do is hire someone to be a protector of their own brand and become a lot harsher with who they give their licensing out to.

I kind of believe that it usually takes an intelligent actor or actress to portray a convincing and complex character.
This usually requires being genuinely interested in the craft and I might say, in the world in general.
Freya unfortunately does not come across as someone described above.
Maybe this is the reason I can't make myself to like Ciri in this show:
She comes across as some posh, rich brat on a road trip, rather than as scared and traumatized person on the run.
Even Kaer Morhen training scenes felt fake because of that.

I have seen Cavill talk about his "nerdy hobbies" for quite some time now, but it was really refreshing to see it done with a host like Felicia Day, since we all know she basically is into everything even remotely geeky.

I love it how something that is primarily seen as a nerdy hobby has people like Henry doing it, I have been playing and painting 40k minis for over 20 years now and its nice to see other people come into the hobby due to people like Henry and Joey making more people aware of it, a word for those looking to get into it, as a tester go do a game day and see if you like it and then start with a small army, there is no need to buy a massive army, start out witha kill team and go from there.
Felicia is perhaps one of those few hosts who can understand the geek-side of these actors! Good for her!!

Battle report! Custodes versus Necrons!! Love it! Side note: I feel like Anya and Freya would be more into Age of Sigmar than 40k (if they were into the hobby). I'd see Anya marshalling a Soulblight Gravelords army or the Lumineth, for Freya either the Nighthaunt or Sylvaneth.
My roommate got into my books and she fell into the rabbit hole of Age of Sigmar. She's currently building an Kharadron Overloads Arkanaut army. For some reason she likes dwarves a lot. She's a big Lord of the Rings fan. Lmao I'm so proud of her
@@conrradotorres4653 Well GW are set to release the War in the North expansion for the Middle Earth: Strategy Battle Game. Which deals with the Wood Elves of Lothlorien and Mirkwood battling the Orcs of Dol Guldur, while the Men of Dale and the Dwarves of Erebor are facing down the Easterlings and their Dragon Emperor from the land of Rhun (which resides to the north of Mordor). Which pretty much takes place as Sauron unleashes the full power of Mordor, Khand and Harad upon Gondor.
Such a great show, and the cast is just amazing

My younger brother used to collect and paint warhammer figures and I got into the lord of the rings sets that were made by the same company. It was fun because you collected, painted and built your army to then play a very detailed tabletop board game with them. A lot of fun memories.

How much would Warhammer explode in popularity if there was a (tasteful) series where Henry goes around and visits particularly special armies that exist in the world and the games ongoing, from small home ones to larger tournaments or something, maybe talking to the creators and fans alike, getting into the history a bit, showing the art of it all. I would pay to see that!
