Unless I’m missing something, isn’t this a seven note pattern the left-hand para diddle makes up fools notes and the right hand base trim and simple unison makes up three notes notes
You're correct that I'm playing a total of 7 times (LRLLRKK), but because the ride and bass are played as a unison (RK), they only take the space of 1 note, so the whole lick lasts for 6 notes (in this case, 6 32nd notes).
