Here is the drum track I recorded a little while back for a Fiverr session. The client needed drums for their melodic death metal project. This song is at 190bpm. The sound is pretty raw because I was only required to send over raw drum stems for the session, but I did add a little EQ and compression after the fact for the purpose of posting this.

Here is the drum track I recorded for a recent Fiverr session. The client needed drums for their melodic death metal project. This was a mid-tempo song at 160bpm. The sound is pretty raw because I was only required to send over raw drum stems for the session, but I did add a little EQ and compression after the fact for the purpose of posting this.
12/29/23 Fiverr Session - Psychedelic Rock
มุมมอง 43711 หลายเดือนก่อน
Here is the drum track from a Fiverr session I did a little while ago. The client requested that I record drums for a cover of a psychedelic rock song. I tried to achieve a mix of the roomy sound on a lot of those 60s recordings with the tighter, more modern sound on the guitar/bass tracks that were sent to me.
12/26/23 Fiverr Session - Rock/Country

Here is the drum track from another recent Fiverr session. The client's song would best be described as rock with a little country. I went for a big, loose drum sound based on the client's wishes.
12/1/23 Fiverr Session - Soft Rock

Here is the drum track from a recent Fiverr session. The client's song would best be described as soft rock with shades of The Eagles and Jimmy Buffett, so I worked out the drum part accordingly.
11/18/23 Fiverr Session - Acoustic Folk
มุมมอง 70ปีที่แล้ว
Here is the drum track for a Fiverr session I did a little while ago. The client requested that I record drums for their acoustic folk song. The music required a pretty subtle, minimal drum part, so I played softly and used brushes for most of the song. The energy picks up a bit toward the end, so I switched to drumsticks.

Here is the drum track for a Fiverr session I did a little while ago. The client requested that I record drums for their acoustic folk/rock song. I went with a rounder drum sound with a softer attack to match the vibe. To avoid sounding too aggressive, I played a side-stick groove for the early sections. The intensity increases later, so I switched to playing the center of the snare (not rimsho...

9/20/23 Fiverr Session - 50s Swing/R&B
มุมมอง 318ปีที่แล้ว
Here is a mashup from another Fiverr session I did recently. The client asked me to record solo drum tracks that they could record over or play along to. These tracks were based on a handful of 1950s tunes. I once again used a low, muffled snare sound and an open bass drum sound.
9/12/23 Fiverr Session - 50s R&B/Rock
มุมมอง 213ปีที่แล้ว
Here is a mashup from a Fiverr session I did recently. The client requested that I record drums for a few of their guitar/vocal tracks in a style reminiscent of 1950s R&B and rock. They requested brushes on some of the tracks for a softer, looser sound, and I went with a low, muffled snare sound and an un-muffled bass drum sound. The guide tracks were not recorded to a click, so you can hear a ...

Crystal clear articulation! You are seriously skilled!
I’m looking to buy a drum kit soon. Is this a beginner friendly song? I don’t really know much about drums but it doesn’t seem TOO challenging…? Thanks
Dude awesome cover awesome song great to see great job
Excellent! Sounds great!
Subbed to get you one closer to 1k! Great cover, great feel and super tight.
What a groove. Everything on this track is incredible: drums, bass, guitar, singer...
WOW! Ur KILLER Kyle! Who is ur fave metal/Hard Rock drummer(s) I'm digging Portnoy! And "DUCK" the new Aristocrats album is blowing my mind! As far as past drummer I gotta go w Bonzo and Peart. I also went to a clinic by Kenny Arnoff. Soo, I dig him too. But he's not metal but he did play won a Smashing Pumpkins album/tour!? Take good care my young friend and all God's Blessings to U and Urs!!! Btw, the Sooper Bowl is on tonight, soo don't miss out! I predict if given the chance, TRUMP wil prevail!!! Be well buddy. Keep at it w Fiverr...❤😂
Very nice tutorial
This song is deceptively difficult to play, like most of steely dans music
Solid 🔒
Man that is one great song. I can't recall if I've ever seen someone with every cymbal from a different manufacturer. That's crazy. I'm a Zildjian guy since the late 80's, but am considering buying some Meinl cymbals. As someone who uses them and others, would you recommend them?
Can you share what ride cymbal you have? It sounds so good (along with your playing of course
Thanks! It's a 20" Meinl Byzance Raw Bell Ride.
Nice! Can i get transcription? 😅
Soooo awesome!!!
Amazing!
This audio is crazy clear. You got super good on the drums btw. Keep it up!
Left hand on fire!!! So good! Great job! My left had is jealous!!! I need to work on doing what you're doing!
Hi sir. Requesting your permission to use this video for my bass cover of the song
Sure! Go for it.
What no rush cover? Just kidding Awesome drum vid!
So dope!!
Awesome!!!!!
Thanks again for giving me the chance to work on your project!
@@kylecokeleydrums of course! Thanks for your hard work.
Damn, what a great natural sound. Thanks for sharing this, and an excellent video production. I’ve always been able to tune a bad drum - but it can only go so far before dampening is needed, and then the tone gets altered too much… which requires more post processing. I really like your technique, especially with the cotton balls. I bet it helps with the resonation between the small tom and the snare that we all experience! Since my studio kit is an early 1970’s Slingerland, it doesn’t have that fat sound like newer kits, so I’m looking forward to trying this out.
You're so good Kyle!
Once you get the hi hats you’ll be pretty close
Wow, this video popped up on my feed as i have Sugar Bowl Washington v Texas on 21- 21, 2rd quarter. Ok, back to the toms.
Hey bud, I do a lot of remote session work myself and was thinking to get on fiverr...what do you usually charge for a song like this? Just curious, thx!
I'm still fairly new to Fiverr, so I started off at $10/song before upping it to $20 recently. It's been fun so far!
Great tips Thank you
I've found my perfect combination is Evans EC2 on top and G2 on the bottom. Having a dual layer head on the bottom makes it sound exactly the way I like it.
Great pocket and groove! I subbed! Awesome! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😊😊
Here's the thing. If you know how to tune your drums,no muffling is needed. The whole cotton ball thing kinda made me laugh.
Great presentation
Excellent tips and demonstration!
✌️👍
That lick right at 24 seconds! I've been trying to figure out what that is forever but don't even know how to describe it clearly enough to elicit more than a confused look. It sounds like an alternation of triplets and 16ths?
Have to still learn more 😎
Actually i have no idea how to tune toms 😎
Great video!!! Thanks for all this info!!
Most important thing for easy tuning is apex of bearing edge must make contact with the drum skin on the flatter part of the drum skin rather than the rounded part,Rob brown has the easiest most effective Tuning method just tune out the wrinkles and minor adjustments from there, just push harder in centre of drum head for a higher pitch or push softer for a lower pitch sound when tuning out the wrinkles takes 5 mins to do all toms top and bottom heads
Sooper - Tremendous playing Kyle! Ur so talented... U/ur family take good care. God Bless y'all dUg-

What snare is that?
Wonderful. I use cotton only for the floor toms, but not in balls. Can you show us yours? Size and form. Tks
I've been playing for 40 +years and I'm impressed with the cotton ball muffling!!! I love a resonate ton sound with sustain and tone and the gels seem to rob the tone too much for my liking. Thanks 👍
Love it. Thank you very much for sharing!
Adding cotton balls how ?
Do you like the clear heads better?
Yay Kyle!
Great Video! I use cotton balls on toms, very very very good!
Thanks very much for doing this. Great presentation.
