One Night On The Salmon River Reservoir Exploring Campsites With A Beautiful Sunset & Sunrise

- Logan does a quick overnight canoe camping trip on the Salmon River Reservoir. This was his first time here, so he took time to check out the campsites, caught a few fish, and did some swimming. There are a few added clips from a day trip that Logan took his two boys on a couple days later.

Camped there a few months ago! Got a walleye and a bunch of smallies. Very cool spot that's relatively close to home for me (outside of Syracuse)

@@shayetanner6431 Its almost overwhelming when I look at the map and try to figure out which body of water I want to paddle lol. I feel extremely lucky as well.
@@ADKAddicts I know same for me! And I am particularly new to paddling so I have a lot to accomplish! What -to-do-what-to do! Got me this new pack canoe to fit my dogs in so I can take off and get-r-done. I find myself procrastinating because I am anxious and scared and worried about fudging something up, but I need to just get out there and do it. So next week will def be an experience for me taking my solo trip!!!

I literally just saw this comment bro I’m so sorry! We’ll definitely have to go there sometime it’s a hidden gem that’s close to us. We found a honey hole filled with crappie for ice fishing too.

Another nice video Logan and glad to see the boys. Fishing has been slow every where this summer. I was at Allegany State Park the week of August 13 and caught a couple of small bass and 4 small rockies. Brother I am so envious that you live that close to the Adirondacks, it's 4 1/2 hour each way for me. Will be waiting for the next one 👍.
Thank you so very much Michael! It has certainly been tough fishing for me, but I am so excited for fall fishing. We make it to most of our spots in the ADK in 3 hours, however we have found a few places that are only 1 1/2 hours away and in the ADK that we have been exploring. I am not a fisherman but I have noticed less birds and squirrels in NYC where I live and on Long Island. Love the Adirondacks especially around Lewey Lake

That’s a nice little town. We were just back there ice fishing the other day. 6 fish 4 different species.
My dad and I fish there lots. Very good for Smallmouth. Just a beautiful lake

@@ADKAddicts yeah you're welcome. We're not expert fisherman but we usually have a good time up there. It's very calm and quiet at night time. We were up there on our bass boat when we lost track of time and were traveling home in the dark, and some sort of fog started rolling over the surface of the water. Definitely a different experience at night!
I love paddling at night. Especially in the Adirondacks. Probably a little more sketchy in a motorized bass boat though.
@@ADKAddicts yeah, sounds fun. It was actually a very nice experience at first. The water was so calm and the temperature was nice. But we just bought the thing and our depth finder was acting up. Then the fog rolled in and made everything creepy lol. But definitely sounds like a beautiful experience being out there overnight
Logan....i'm curious about your blue float net,can you tell me the maker? As always enjoyed the video...keep em coming !
The nets are made by Ranger and we purchased them at Runnings. You can find them on Amazon as well in blue or orange by Ranger and another maker very similar as well. I would suggest getting the orange though if available cause it’s easier to see what f it floats away from you.
