- I go on a 2 night solo canoe trip covering several lakes and ponds fishing for brook trout and rainbow trout. I stay at 2 different camp sites, catch a bunch of fish and eat some good food.
Rainbow trout are my favorite but I don’t think anything is more beautiful than a deeply colored fall brookie.
For sure
Some pretty amazing living happening there! What a lovely lake to paddle, fish and camp on the shores of!
It is beautiful there and pretty much everywhere in the Adirondacks. Thank you for watching.
Brook trout are beautiful fish and are my favorite. Another great video and thanks for the mention! Between your mention and meeting Jay and Stephanie at Stewart's in Long Lake, It was a pretty cool week! 🙂
Oh man that’s awesome. Thanks for watching again.
I agree the brookies are the prettiest fish, but the big shouldered bows sure give a nice arial fight. thanks for sharing.
I agree with you. Thanks for watching.
Love your videos John! I like both rainbows and brookies! I spent several days on Long Lake Memorial day week caught only a few bass but had a great time and filmed it for my channel. I'm going back for another 10 days in one week, I have several lakes that I'm going to explore and film for my channel.
Awesome man have a great time and thanks for watching! We’ll check that out on your channel for sure.
Great job on this one John. Some of those brookies had some nice girth. I definitely agree nothing more beautiful than a nicely colored brookie. 👍
Thank you and yeah brookies are beautiful. Thanks for watching. We appreciate it.
@@ADKAddicts I was expecting Jay to pop in out of the shadows when I seen the pierogis frying up, then I laughed when you said Jay special 😂
I had to give him his little tribute there for the pierogis lol.
Weather looked beautiful for the trip and beautiful brookies. Have you encountered any ticks while you're up in the ADK? I haven't seen any but my wife doesn't believe me lol
Also, I live near the river in bville and Osprey are plentiful here often carrying cargo's of fresh fish. I like how they point the fish into the wind for better aerodynamics. I once found a decent-sized perch on my roof that I can only assume an osprey dropped. A turkey vulture saved me the trouble of going up there to remove it.
The weather was really nice and no, never had a tick on me or seen one up there yet thankfully. I’m pretty close to you I’ve never seen ospreys our way that’s awesome. I’ve seen lots of bald eagles both mature and immature but no ospreys. I thought ospreys were only by the sea and the Adirondacks. Nice to know. Thanks for watching.
nice trip and great fishing ! i think for favorite fish to catch it eould be a Rainbow trout but for eating it would be hands down a Walleye. good luck on your next trip. bill
Walleye are for sure the best eating freshwater fish. Thanks for your support Bill!
New subscriber here, your video just showed up on my recommended list and wasn't long before I was hitting subscribe and then the notifications bell so I won't miss future videos, and will definitely be checking out older videos in days to come. Great video tonight , hope you have an awesome week.

@@ADKAddicts I always say it's the comments that gives me the fuel to keep making videos.
I would have to agree.
Enjoy your content keep up the videos ! I'll be camping in Sept adk!!
Thank you so much. Have a great time. Where are you heading?
@ADKAddicts St Regis area doing 7 carries was suppose to do it last year but friend was ill so going to accomplish it this year. Looking forward to it!
St Regis is beautiful especially St Regis Pond. Enjoy.
@ADKAddicts where going to be paddling kayaks an plan on taking wheels wherever we can use them
@@toddstoffel6711 St Regis is mostly wheel able until you get to fish pond. From Fish to the lower ponds not so much. Some of the carries once you get to bog pond are so short not even worth putting the wheels on. Have a great time.
Great video! I’m headed to Raquette Lake for 6 nights next week. Have you fished it?
We have not fished Raquette Lake yet. We want to hit it in the early spring but every time we plan it it’s too windy. Good luck and let us know how you do. Thanks for watching.
Another great video John, I had an Osprey take a fish about 20yds away from me while fishing Quaker lake at Allegheny State Park last year. It was so cool.
@@michaelrehberg5198 suck an amazing sight to see. We both got lucky. Thanks again for watching Michael.
As soon as I saw those pierogies all I could think was Jay is going to file a copyright infringement complaint with youtube on you 😂
He can’t, he copied my fishing rods and fish finder lol. Thanks for watching.
