My name has been verified (and will show a dark color around it) and there will always be a check next to it. They are making comments and leaving contact information for you to respond to. They are sometimes mentioning WhatApp phone numbers, Telegram, and other Platforms. They commonly will try to sell you some type of therapy or herbs. About 4 years ago I started adding K2-mk7 for my mother and myself. While at my mother's next scheduled appointment w/her cardiologist I mentioned that she was now taking the K2-mk7 and the doc asks me why do I have her on vitamin K.
I tell him for the redistribution of calcium, to keep it out of her arteries. He immediately says "No, it has nothing to do with calcium - she shouldn't be taking it." I tell him It's K2-mk7...not K1, but he just repeats what he said and instructs her to stop taking it.

My husband has severe osteoarthritis, he had a lot of pain. A friend recommended to take calcium and promised he will be fine after a few days. He took high dosage for maybe 4/5 days, the result was terrifying. He practically could not stand on his feet, it gave way and he was trembling to the effect that we had to take him to er. Their first diagnostic was, why his calcium level is so high? To make it short, he had many complications, had to stay at the hospital for 10 days and two weeks at rehab. He is better now. He is 76. Thank you our good doctor, love you so.

Yep... the Calcium craze for women of the '90s, sans Vit K 2/7, totally calcified my carotid arteries. It wreaked havoc in my body, and nearly killed me. Thankfully, five years ago, my chiropractor caught this on some of my tests, and I immediately quit all calcium supplementation.
I fine-tuned my diet, started spending more time in the sun, added Vit K, and took measures to de-calcify my arteries.

Been following this advice for years now after contracting diabetes, and researching food and supplements. Come to a realization long time ago, that we as a human race were faltering after leaving the farm, eating home grown natural foods. Found a lot of correlation of what our health was doing beginning in the forties and fifties with the consuming of processed food and oils and margarines. EAT NATURAL FOODS, your body will thank you for it, by providing you with a healthy body to live and work and play in.

Spot on . Your healing begins with eating the correct foods drinking the correct fluids. The less time you spend in the so call supermarkets buying preserved foods the better your health will be. Magnesium controls the calcium levels in your body. Cows milk is for calves as human milk is for human babies!

    • @abradfordajb
      @abradfordajb ปีที่แล้ว +13

" ... we as a human race were faltering after leaving the farm, ... " I agree with this statement. This is why i believe there's been such a resurgence of farmer's markets and (legitimate) organic food products over the years, because more folks are realizing that the destruction of the family farm has led to our economic as well as health downfall. Actually, for me, the most obvious and salable aspect of this is that natural organically-grown foods just TASTE better!

He's right on needing magnesium and vitamin K1 & 2. But I'm surprised that doc didnt mention calcium carbonate as the worst culprit for clogging arteries. This form of calcium isnt absorbed by the body and is used in nut milks to "boost" the calcium content of their product. Nut milks naturally have some calcium, but not as much as dairy products. Adding calcium carbonate is a marketing ploy that is actually dangerous for your health.

    • @talk2deb

Correct! Calcium Carbonate is bad for us. Years ago my Dr. actually gave me a coupon for a certain brand, it was Calcium Carbonate. I never bought that product. An informative article on Pubmed- ‘The Good, the Bad and the Ugly of calcium supplementation’ -calcium studies suggested that dietary calcium is more beneficial for health than calcium supplements and that it is also easier to absorb ~ as our Dr. Mandell advises 👍🏽

The transformation is kind of incredible, as of maybe 6 weeks ago I could not kneel on my left knee because the pain was intense. It is painless now. I recommend anyone with arthritis to try it for a couple months, the other upside is that it is likely clearing up soft tissue calcification throughout your body.

It's the best absorbed and assimilated form for our bodies to uptake and utilize, into the bone matrix where it is so needed. The scaffolding. Too much calcium can also cause kidney stones!! And you don't want those!!
I was hypercalcemic for a long time (and it's still a bit high) and I ended up with over 30 kidney stones in just one kidney!! They had to be removed thru surgery, which was nightmarish, leaving me with PTSD..long story, but basically there were so many stones they couldn't get the tube to zap and remove them into my left kidney, the one with 30 plus stones. What was supposed to be a 20 minute pre-OP procedure turned into a 3 hour nightmare. And I was fully awake the entire time.
Worst pain EVER. Hard to even imagine.
I told the doctors they should knock me out for the prep, not just the main operation (where a surgeon goes in thru that tube with a laser, for which I was put under) but for this prep as well.
Unfortunately, like so many doctors, they thought they knew my body better than I did.
After all, I only live here!!
I should've sued them. Now I'm on disability, which isn't enough income, so I'm dirt poor.
Welcome to America, the richest country in the world, in the history of the world, where some have BILLIONS while the elderly, disabled, poor, and even veterans end up homeless because the greed of these corporations is insatiable and our government has been completely captured by them.
Some call that corporatism, aka fascism: the merger of corporate and government power.
As the poor residents of East Palestine, OH are learning, there are no regulations on industry or market anymore. No anti trust laws. No regulation of Wall Street, banks, or these corporate monopolies. The average citizen has no recourse to the law.
Indeed, the only regulations that do exist, and keep expanding, are those on what you can or can't do with your own body..especially if you're a woman..
    God help us.

I have osteoporosis. My Dr prescribed Fosamax plus calcium citrate. I was crippled. It was horribly painful even months after I stopped. I now do K2-m7 + D3. And I eat tons of greens, nuts, etc. I can't wait for my next bone scan. I can now exercise again.

@@victorian4968 are you anemic? We need iron to bring oxygen to the cells, brain cells, heart, lungs, etc...to nourish our body. Oxygen is more important than food, vitamin, minerals. It is why if we do not breathe for one second, we die.
We will feel weak, not having enough oxygen. It is why you can not breathe fully?
I am not a doctor. How do you know you do not have enough iron? There are many foods that provide your body with iron. One of them is raisins.
Hope you have enough iron in your body. Get iron from food, not from supplements please.

Dr Mandel, thank you so much for the simple explanation of soft tissue calcification.stopped taking calcium maybe six years ago, because I saw on my online medical records an x-ray of my heart, and I saw this white substance in my heart, and the record said, calcium, blah blah blah, and in that picture, you showed me start taking calcium, but I appreciate your encouragement to get it naturally from our food which is much better fun way LOL to get the proper calcium and thank you for the K2 and K7 supplements that you mentioned so that the body can properly at the calcium to her bones in a two hour soft tissues, thank you so kindly I so appreciate you and your wise practical advice❤. Thank u ever so much!😊

Thank you excellent advice. Also important to note that calcium is always moving in and out of the bones to balance blood pH, so we want to eat more alkaline then acidic foods. Eg. Meat and dairy are considered acidic. Of course fact check what I'm saying, I'm no expert. Has also been said milk is not a great source of calcium because it causes the body to release more calcium to balance the acidity that it causes, vs broccoli which provides calcium without any deficit because it does not raise acidity. Tony Robbins does a good talk on the alkaline diet.

I've had ostepenia since I was in my early to mid-50s, and two bone scans back showed I had osteoporosis, but my last bone scan a few years ago showed I somehow got bone growth and I'm back to osteopenia. I never took the dose of calcium supplement doctor recommended for me, but instead, I took 5000 units of vitamin D3 and magnesium. I'm almost 61 now, and I'll continue to take these supplements along with a multivitamin from a health food store that is organic and made for women 55 plus.

I agree 100 percent with you. My mom was the healthiest person I have known, She was a nurse and she ate mostly vegetarian . When they did the camera in the vein test to look at her heart the camera got stuck in a wad of calcium and it gave her a heart attack. They rushed her to another hospital that was able to remove it. Another youtube channel said that calcium didn't really help osteoporosis.
