They have given me much joy and open me up to reflection :) I do love your outlook on psychotherapy, especially the concept of "being clumsy at living" and "grappling creatively with the challenges of everyday life". I am studying to become a clinical psychologist and have become fascinated with existential approaches, but I am also a bit overwhelmed by all the literature that is out there. Can you recommend a good place to start when trying to learn about existential-philosophical approaches to psychotherapy? Best regards.
Emmy, I am currently a student pursuing my Master's in Clinical Counseling. Existentialism seems to be the natural philosophy through which I view the world and approach problems from. Thank you for your videos, they have helped clarify existential philosophy for me and apply it to my developing counselor identity. I've also read an excerpt from your book "Existential Perspectives in Human Issues." When I looked on amazon I noticed you have other publications as well. Is there one you would recommend as a good starting point? Thank you for your time and for sharing your knowledge and experience.
