The tanuki can be explained as Vega Punk being the recognized creator of living objects, but not necessarily of ALL living objects, much like medicine developed in many different ways in many different countries. As for Fujitora, my best guess is that he saw some of the void century, either because he was alive during the tail end, saw documents or he actually knows how to read poneglyphs, but at the same time arrived to the conclusion that the world is safer with the current establishment than if he were to challenge it due to the sins of the past.
@@Scarlet_moon. It doesn't come from Wano, they're just the only country with skilled and developed enough weaponsmiths to make things like bullets from it.
@@Scarlet_moon. You missunderstand that. Sea Prison Stone dosnt come from wano but wano is the reason its all over the world because they made things out of it. before wano sea stone was just a stone in the seas
My theory for why you can't swim with a devil fruit is pretty simple. devil fruits were likely created as weapons, and out of desire to control said weapons it was made with a weakness to what is now known as seastone. an enemy nation probably then learned this and infused the sea with seastone in order to make invasions much more difficult.
Exactly... I thought that was the general thinking about it for pretty much the whole time until Lunarians got introduced, and the haki explanation still seems much more likely.
That's the conclusion I've reached as well. There's also Lucci that was able to produce fire with his fingers although whether or not he had Haki back then is a different matter entirely.
I feel like the two aren't mutually exclusive. Like humans can tap into fire powers with strong enough haki, but Lunarians have more of an affinity for it.
No blackbeard might of actually told them he was gold roger son. The thing that i notice is blackbeard is about older than shanks by a some so he might of actually knew gold roger a bit more than shanks given how whitebeard even told roger his name in regards to wtf the will of d was. So blackbeard was given warlord status for that and also with crocodile out blackbeard was a good ass option. He wasn’t known thus WG could use him as a good warlord like crocodile was to replace him. A perfect situation tbh. Its just we as fans know blackbeard so tbh we speak outta knowing.

I'm pretty sure (unless I remember incorrectly of course) that the original Diable Jambe was when Sanji spun incredibly fast on one leg to produce fire but then for the sake of convenience I guess he somehow learned to produce that fire without spinning like mad, Luffy on the other hand, no explanation and Doflamingo had some weird ass fire move as well if I remember correctly sooooo yeah I guess ppl can just produce fire in some of their moves for some inexplicable reason (cus it looks cool is probably the most valid reason)...
I think Luffy's Fire is more of a reference to vulcanized rubber. Where vocalic enviroments make rubber extremely tough. Or possibly just "Friction=hot=fire"
Sanji moves his leg super fast and the friction generates a huge amount of heat therefore he has to buy a new pair of pants everytime he uses this technique xD sidenote: he was inspired by the cp9 who use a similar technique to create the shockwave they can shoot with their arms/ legs or the ability to "moonwalk"
Liam, about the part about bounties being claimed. @@laurabustos6560 yeah BB was basically already considered for the position after lafette came to the meeting and basically threw his captain name in the hat. After he got ace however the government officially offered him the position. This made all the crimes he did technically okay so he took it already wanting it. The thing is had he not brought in a big bounty the government would of just saw him as the zero bounty blackbeard crew member.
I always thought that the reason why devil fruit users lose their power in the water is because someone or something exercises their will or power over all the water in the world to such a degree that any Devil Fruit user largely submerged in it begins to lose their strength. A potentially silly guess: Davy Jones, the legend of whom was introduced by Robin all the way back during Long Long Island. She described him as an 'ancient pirate who was cursed by the Devil' and who lives on the bottom of the sea to this day. As the world of One Piece became bigger and bigger, that little tidbit of information seemed less and less of just a throwaway detail to be forgotten, especially since the concept of 'Davy Back fight' carries his name and it is the only arc so far that seems insular from the overall plot. Did he eat a Water Water fruit? Does he have a conquering will so powerful that any 'devils' that enter his demesne become suppressed and lose their power? My idea would be something along those lines. Could he have been a figure from the antiquity of the Void Century, who was consigned to a bitter grave below the waters by the ancestors of the Celestial Dragons? Are there secrets he jealously guards on the bottom of the sea to this day? If he truly spurned the founders of the World Government, that may very well satisfy the legend of him being the 'First Pirate'.
I like this but it's Robin. She loves messing with people on the crew and if I remember correctly that was one of those times. Now Davy Jones could very well have existed and maybe that's the Will of D. To Conquer the very seas that cursed him
Yeah.. remember how sea salt could break moria's power on zombies? Maybe a mineral diluded and present both in kairoseki and the sea making these have those properties 🤔
I would love if Oda allowed his assistants to make OP Spin Offs, I mean the world is HUGE, and as long as the protagonists goal isn't 'to be the Pirate King' it's pretty free reign to do w/e and never have to worry about interfering with or even interacting with the primary story.
If you're into D&D, there's an anime rapper called Rustage who did a TTRPG adventure in the world of One Piece on his second channel with a couple of other youtubers (Tekking101, Briggs, etc.).
maybe even 15-20 years based on the acceleration of everything media related. one piece will end, it will be legendary the same way american comic books were in the 50s-70s and onward, and all these manga will be the next wave of hollywoodification. itll probably be a good thing. disney is trying to set up a dragonball live action universe, for example. there will have to be early failures for successful adaptations down the line
In my mind, the "real" reason why devil fruits make you weak in bodies of water is because Luffy is based off of Monkey, of Journey to the West fame. Besides Buddha, Monkey was able to defeat pretty much anyone with ease. He casually kills other demons so often that when reading JttW you begin to wonder if all problems can be solved by Monkey. It turns out, however, that Monkey can't fight as well in water as he can in every other medium and that's for a very good reason. Monkey began life as a stone statue of a monkey which was birthed from a stone egg which was birthed by another stone that split in half. In other words, Monkey is unstoppable wherever he goes, like a true anime protagonist, but he sinks like a stone when in water. The author(s) of this myth solved the problem they created when they made Monkey so cathartically powerful by making him have to depend on others (Pigsy) or his wits whenever some demon dragged Tripitaka down to their underwater lair. I think Oda in conceptualizing One Piece followed a similar thread, especially since it gave him an opportunity to give his pirate protagonists a cruelly ironic(?) curse. I'm sure this has all been said before but I had these two cents rattling around in my pocket and wanted to get rid of them.
The monkey king also has a weakness, which is his monk master’s chants, he will get a headache and unable to perform well. But here we have no monk, no zhu ba jie and the other guy who has big beads for necklace.
Luffy first introduced is that of course is one a storage room but it’s basically a stone storage room bc the ost theme is called (unnanu something ) & the stone storage room. Oda musta actually done this on purpose
I also like the theory of the water actually being a ally to the world government. In return when those figures died they got turned into devil fruits user so their “will” would be carried on. In return the water cursed them for the humans. Will of d got to survive thru its lineage and sidenote i think ussop might be part of a different middle name. The letter U. God U Ssop . Untruthful though is already its meaning. Another one is water. Its a taboo name. Maybe these 3 guys joined up with nika and joyboy lost and their history got erased.
7:26 arnoment haki has that like metallic look sometimes, so I’ve always kinda assumed that like the metal was moving so fast or had so much pressure being applied to it or something that it created sparks and then fire
More than being descendants of Lunarians, i would say that by the time King was captured at Punk Hazard, MADS was working there. Judge stole part of many prisoners DNA, including King, and infused it with Sanji's DNA. During Kaido's escape, he rescued King, and Queen saw a chance to join, thus abandoning MADS.
The fire from Luffy and sanji is meant to just be friction I’m guessing. It’s pretty obvious if you don’t over think it. The first time sanji did it he had to spin a ton super fast and friction generated heat causing it to combust. Luffy has to stretch super far backwards and release it, causing his fist to gain speed and catch fire.
@@Alfkdna bro shut up it was always spinning and always will be, his passion is 90% pervert and 10% cooking to fuel his pervert-ness better than zoro but still that's a really stupid idea
Nah, Luffy produces fire with his red hawk attacks from the friction that's created between the air and his arm, yes, he is going that fast. About Sanji though, I'm not sure, I think the idea is that the spin he does for his Diable Jambe is what creates the friction needed but why it can burn for so long, welp, manga logic.
Well... you know how objects are able to absorb devil fruit powers, right? Well there is a theory that Judge (Sanji's dad) did a scientific experiment on his kids that had their bodies absorb devil fruit powers without repercussions, which is how his sister can absorb poison, Sanji has fire-related powers, etc... A TH-camr named "Parvision" has it detailed better in his recent Sanji theory video
@The PGM oh lol. I mean, if it's NOT true then the only other possibility could also point to Sanji having powers related from the Lunarians (like King's fire powers)
Ive always imagined Luffy can do Red hawk for the same reason spaceshuttles etc light up in flames upon reintering orbit. The immense speed of his fist shooting out compresses the air density making it heat up and produce heat/flames.
@@hoodiemelo3962 Why would Bounty hunters actually bother with hunting extremely strong pirates in the NW anyways? Bounty hunters usually don't have a crew which increases the risks with taking on an entire pirate crew especially in the new world. They can just hunt the weaker pirates in the GL or the Blue seas which easily gives them a few million berries anyway. Logically, it would be too much risk for something that isn't even that much necessary for someone to do that.
@@AUselessGod who says bounty hunters can’t have crews ? We’ve seen duos like Johnny & Yosaku as well as organizations like the Franky Family. Plus the reward would be so high in the new world. But Oda has taken away from the pirate feel of the show & instead one piece is slowly turning into a normal shonen anime
Doesn't "never twice, without a third time" mean that if something happened twice, then it'll likely happen a third time? am I just interpreting this differently? this interpretation would surely imply that the emerald city is likely to exist
the best theory about giant straw hat is that the small straw hat has been passed so the person who has it and eventually invades marie jois and finds / sees the big straw hat thats hidden will know that the red line on it 'the big red line' the real one has to be wiped out cause luffy aint think of that by himself cause of his character like nd thats the purpose of the straw hat being passed after all the red line always on the hat from the beginning i like this one from oda cause connects the beginning to end perfect with a common item giving it the epic purpose
It was fairly recent in the manga so I guess not surprising to not see it, but I want to know what the backstory is with the Gum Gum fruit? Why was who's who transporting it? Why did shanks want to steal it? Why is it so highly valued yet it seems like no one through out the story had ever heard of a rubber fruit until Luffy showed up?
Because Luffy's Devil Fruit is actually the Sun Sun Fruit (theory) even though it looks like stretching what if Luffy is actually manipulating gravity an aspect of the sun?
I saw an interesting theory that devil fruits take on the wills of the people that eat them and then pass it on to the person that eats it next. It could’ve been joyboy’s fruit, and then roger’s, and then their wills could’ve been passed on to Luffy. If that’s the case, i’m sure the world gvmt wouldn’t want a new person to inherit roger’s will, much less joyboy’s. I’m not sure if i saw that theory on this channel or on Ohara. They had an example of how sabo began acting like ace after he ate the mera mera no mi (to the point where he even said the exact same goodbye ace said to the straw hats in alabasta) and how luffy said the exact same thing roger said (i think shanks told rayleigh about a kid in the east blue that said the exact same thing as roger)
10:23 My personal theory is that the giant strawhat actually belonged to the original Poseidon and Luffy already has Joy Boy's strawhat. Since Joy Boy made a promise to og Poseidon that he wasn't able to fulfill, Luffy will fulfill it for him and Shirahoshi will inherit the strawhat to showcase the whole "inherited will" theme going on. I also don't think it's a coincidence that Oda wrote the children of Fishmen wanting a strawhat like Luffy's to "play hero" when he didn't bother doing the same for any other islands Luffy and the Strawhats played hero for. It feels like a subtle foreshadowing.
@Shalosh Kokhaot Oh yea, good point. Only someone who was alive in the void century would have heard of Joy Boy, so Neptune must know the whole world's history.
In Sanji’s case I believe that his spinning generates a massive amount of friction force which ignited the air around his heated shoe soles that appears as though his foot caught on fire I mean during his take down of Queen we did see him say that now due to the germa augmentation that his body is now more durable and thus can generate hotter temperatures that ever before.
Vegapunk is from an alien race that we saw in Enel's cover stoy, its why he has a long head and probably the reason why he brought in technology that advanced the one piece world in centuries, its also the reason Oda is taking so long to introduce him officially. also the guy that's fighting raizo is from said race.

I kind of just thought this up but what if Zou is just another name for God Valley, and the reason why god valley disapeared when it did was because zunesha "woke up" being the reason both are not on a map/being super hard to locate.
but the minks lived there for thousands of years and they would have definatily had some kind of historical consciousness or documents, just like they have this brotherhood-thing with the minks since houndreds of years.
I'm pretty sure that the Minks would have mentioned if their home was relatively recently stationary, and that several of the most powerful people ever to exist in One Piece had a rumble there.
6:10 I know that Fujitora is based on the famous Japanese Blind Samurai from the black and white japanese movies, but he REALLY gives me a lot of Shu vibes, from Fist of the North Star, especially since both Fujitora and Shu blinded themselves and both wanted to see what the protagonist of the story looks like (tho Shu DID got to see Kenshiro)
Great video. I am a new member of the Fleet! In terms of the luffy fire I like to think being made of rubber- I think the friction caused by the sheer speed causes fire to ignite around his arm.
Brooks whole story ~ raising ranks in the military in a country. How he became a pirate crew so strong, their captain got the anime sickness of “too strong so gotta get sick”, bested a crew who would target other pirates hence the poison. Almost all of them surviving except for the poison. Brooks confidence of how he treats insanely powerful people, fighting with a legendary swordsmen with a huge weak point ( his afro) and most importantly of the world still looks forward to his performances.
7:25 we saw how already, sanji produces fire by spinning on his leg and producing friction, as he gained more strength and experience he was able to spin less and just vibrate his leg to make it hot. I assume luffy is doing the same. Not exactly realistic physics but anime pirates are not bound to the laws of our world.
I think Sanji was just made using Lunarian DNA. As for Luffy, I think it has to do with Sun God Nika or some shit and Oda just doesn't want to say anything yet.
Hold up, JoyBoy being a giant actually makes sense based on two items, the big strawhat that we saw with imu, and the ship he left in fishman island, it's way too big for a normal person. Hmm....
I thought red hawk had to do with the galvanization of his rubber due to his armament haki mixing with his stretching ability. I read that that can create extreme amounts of heat enough to ignite the air around it.
I never thaught of luffys mom as such a mystery. Either she is a unessential side character that will never show up, or she died when luffy was really young. Probably the motivation behind why Dragon became a revolutonary. Wouldnt suprise me even if his mom met a real tragic end. Would explain why even garp never mentions her.
Oda said that a man's journey starts the moment they leave their mother... or something along that line. Basically Luffy's mom is considered irrelevant to the story and won't ever be mentioned.
I kinda like the idea that fujitora blinded himself after the O’Hara incident or something similar to it where he was present for a buster call and due to his moral justice he couldn’t bear to see the horrors in front of him
I think fujitora witnessed many tragedies namingly the destruction of Ohara, the death of fishertiger and the descrimination faced by the fishmen and forced to take down several people (especially girls). Take down in the sense that he was forced to capture them for the sake of the celestial dragons and from the guilt of not being able to do anything, he blinded himself so thata he dont have to see such tragedies anymore. Please use my comment in your next video🙏🙏🙏.
I think Sanji is able to produce fire because when he spins in a circle super fast the friction on his feet will build up which would heat up his foot... But idk. (Rub Your hands together really fast and friction will heat it up).
As a new member of the fleet, a mystery I would like to see solved would be the connection between JoyBoy, Fish Man Island, the Poneglyphs, the giant strawhat, and Laugh Tale
The croco-mom joke got me good🤣 (although I agree with tekking about the whole parent situation. Basically if oda explores one parent of a straw hat he'll probably introduce the other. Which leaves us to find out Robin's father and loofy's mother. I know you have the opinion that lineage doesn't have to mean something for every character, which is right, but if you're going to put emphasis on one parent, the other should be similarly important.)
They already explained Sanji's fire in the anime, he moves his leg so fast the air resistance creates heat. Also, I'm new to the channel. Love the content.
Why/how do sanji and luffy use fire; Im totaly in with sanji beeing a partly kings race (maybe not inherited, but his father could have modified him that way. When it comes to luffy I see it totaly different. Hes a rubber man and so he can create friction what can produce heat - and thats not that far to fire. If we remember how people used to make fire, it was with friction.
I’m pretty sure there was an explanation to how sanji ignited his leg back in enies lobby. He used to need to move his leg very fast and with all the friction with the air it will get on fire. Same as anything entering earth’s atmosphere, the friction from the air makes it go on fire. As for luffy we also got an explanation on how he conjures up his fire, back in enies lobby as well. When he stretches he pumps more blood faster around his body and his organs start to stretch the friction causes him to heat up as we can see from how steamy he gets in gear second. I suppose red hawk is just an improved version of that where he pumps more blood in his arm causing more friction causing his arms to ignite.
My theory on Fujitora’s blindness was that he was one of the guys turned to stone by Boa Hancock back on Momonji’s ship in Amazon Lily and he blinded himself after witnessing her abuse animals and people “because she was beautiful”.
Turning people to stone that find her beautiful because of her DF was evil enough to make Fujitora want to blind himself? Highly doubt it and with how perceptive he is while being blind means he has probably been blind for a while and has allowed him to develop his Observation Haki to better suite him.
I still don’t get how the giants don’t remember the void century they live so long they legit could’ve heard the accounts first hand from their grandparents or parents if they are really old.
Sanji uses speed and friction to light his leg on fire similar to a rocket re-entering the atmosphere. He spins around super fast before every instance that he uses this technique. Look especially at the first few times he uses it.
Sanji is able to conjure fire by creating an insane amount of friction along his legs. The very first time he did this he had to to spin on one leg rapidly to build up said friction. I believe Luffy's Red Hawk attack functions similarly, by creating friction with the air from moving at high speeds.
If I were a marine in the world of One Piece, I'd definitely want to befriend a bounty hunter. "So, we just caught this guy with a big bounty. Haven't told anyone yet. So, wanna claim him and split the cash?"
What a sweet, sweet subscribe transition. The subscriber of the day thingy took away one of my favourite parts of the "older" videos... But now it's back! Maybe

Well I'm a 2 month part of the grand fleet but i never said hi to anyone so HI EVERYONE , I'm looking forward to figuring out many one piece theories with all of you together

A satisfying background story about- Im, Vegapunk, Blackbeard, Dragon, Joyboy. 6. Location of Laugh Tale, Lodestar, Raijin Island, Emerald City (if it exists), Elbaf- and If possible, I'd like to see all of them drawn or portrayed in detail in the manga/anime with small/filler or big/main arcs in all of them. 7. Where did the devil fruits come from & how? 8. The moons orbiting the one piece planet- the space pirates & their connection to this planet. 9. 3 ancient weapons. 10. Noah’s ark. Madam Charlie's prophecy. The meeting of two sovereign. 11. Voice of all things. 12. All 12 O Wazamono, their location, current or past users and some scenes to portray their greatness.
My theory, why devil fruits make you unable to swim: the other thing with unexplained powers are transponder snails and as we know snails are weak to salt. Seawater is salty, so is the seastone, that have been marinating in sea salt for god knows how long. What if devil fruits are connected to transponder snails? Maybe even (though I'm not so sure about that part) devil fruits taste so bad because they are actually somewhat connected to snails?
New to the channel. Ive watched quite a few videos and I'm loving the content. I'm up to date with the Anime but refuse to read the magna just so I can go back after it ends relive it all over again. Keep up the great work mate
I know it most likely will never be revealed but I won’t be able to die happy without knowing what the thriller bark shadow monster is. I watched that shit 10 years ago at this point and it still has stuck with me
About the Luffy and Sanji’s fire “production”: Luffy - His Red Hawk is actually quite science based. When you get a rubber band and stretch it a few times really fast it does gets hotter. The fire produced in his attack just seems to be an exaggeration of an actual physical property of rubber Sanji - After the fight with Queen, for me, it became clear that Sanji has always had some latent augmentation that came in form of that hot leg of his. Now that he unleashed his Germa power we have to see where it goes
my favorite theory as to why DV take away your ability to swim is that they are tied to Light and there's no light at the bottom of the sea or in BB's DV therefor rendering them useless
I remember being slightly involved in the fanbase when people were speculating that the Emerald City was on Zou (something about a more literal Romanization of the Japanese name being just Zo, which is Oz spelled backwards), and I think I even vaguely recall people claiming that the Emerald City would somehow be associated with the White City from Law's flashback? Like, the Emerald City was underground directly below the White City or something? Anyway, I guess that goes to show you how long I've been a weekly reader. Dressrosa doesn't feel that long ago, but it did start in *checks notes* holy crap, 2013? Geez.
"The sea will hate you and take away your ability to swim" Ahh that's exactly how pirates stories were told in many different media. (Pirates of the Caribbean: Pirates talked about mermaids and how they prey or the Davy Jones' legend.)
The poll: Which One Piece mystery do you want solved the most? Me: All of them, it's too hard to choose just one (although if I did have to choose, i'd say the National Treasure in Mariejois)
As far as I remember, a person named daddy or something he was paid to bring 2 guys , he delivered the guys to smoker , it's in one of those episodes where luffy initially meets smoker
I'm not even the biggest fan of One Piece, but I'm always eager to watch your videos. You're very compelling & entertaining, lol. Plus, you don't just hype stuff up & talk out of your butt to get views. You're theories & judgement are always sound with good reason.
For some reason I always think of the Gold-Toothed Doctor from Full Metal Alchemist when vegapunk is mentioned. It's going to be weird when he ends up having one of Oda's goofy faces.
I always like to think Fujitora became and Admiral and then clawed his eyes out after he went to Marejois and saw the daily horrors they inflict for fun
in demos stories people put salt on windows and doors to avoid demons from coming in, maybe the high concentration of salt affects the :"devil" part of te fruit
On bounty hunters: don't forget the civilian bounty hunter Jean the Bandit from Dressrosa, who claims to have captured multiple high-bounty Impel Down escapees. Seems highly unlikely that he did not cash in on them
Based on how sanji used to spin frantically to use diable jambe, i always assumed it was just an exaggerated friction fire. As for luffy, i believe armamant haki allows him to vulkanize his arm (vulkanized rubber can create a LOT of heat with enough friction) which he then uses with gear 2's speed to get enough velocity/friction to light his rubber arms on fire
About the fire thing. Yuderon's theory is that Sanji is indeed a descendent from the Lunaria tribe. When it comes to Luffy's ability to produce fire though, he believes it comes from the rubber-rubber fruit itself. Something about stretching it so much that makes I don't know what happen and fire then exists. He explains it better than me, but it's something like that. Physics and stuff idk.

Vegapunk has been to Wano 100% because he was the leading figure on kairoseki research and kairoseki comes from Wano.
@@Scarlet_moon. It doesn't come from Wano, they're just the only country with skilled and developed enough weaponsmiths to make things like bullets from it.

before wano sea stone was just a stone in the seas
Yeah, that's a technique he invented but not one exclusive to him as I doubt he would just do it for Miss Merry Christmas.

I always assumed that the ability to manifest fire to a small degree was tied to haki. Doffy and Katakuri could do it as well.
Wow, Ace's DF really becomes more mediocre in the New World
I feel like the two aren't mutually exclusive. Like humans can tap into fire powers with strong enough haki, but Lunarians have more of an affinity for it.
@Nicholas King what makes you think Sabo can use wind? Most of us assume that was dragon's devil fruit ability
Technically, Blackbeard capturing Ace got him a position as a warlord so that might be higher than any bounty that has been handed out.

Sanji just wiggles his toes super fast 🤤
It’s one of the 8 gates
I think Luffy's Fire is more of a reference to vulcanized rubber. Where vocalic enviroments make rubber extremely tough. Or possibly just "Friction=hot=fire"
I'd say armament haki and friction
Sanji moves his leg super fast and the friction generates a huge amount of heat therefore he has to buy a new pair of pants everytime he uses this technique xD
sidenote: he was inspired by the cp9 who use a similar technique to create the shockwave they can shoot with their arms/ legs or the ability to "moonwalk"

To Conquer the very seas that cursed him
It's any water. Not just the sea.
Yeah.. remember how sea salt could break moria's power on zombies?
Maybe a mineral diluded and present both in kairoseki and the sea making these have those properties 🤔
I totally love this theory and I feel like it’s has some value to it
That's an interesting concept certainly.
Damn I really wish the Kuma flashback was the way Liam described it in this video😭
I would love if Oda allowed his assistants to make OP Spin Offs, I mean the world is HUGE, and as long as the protagonists goal isn't 'to be the Pirate King' it's pretty free reign to do w/e and never have to worry about interfering with or even interacting with the primary story.
If you're into D&D, there's an anime rapper called Rustage who did a TTRPG adventure in the world of One Piece on his second channel with a couple of other youtubers (Tekking101, Briggs, etc.).
that would be awesome!!!!
give it some time. in 30 years, one piece stories will be the modern day marvel tv show. lol the future is gonna be lit
maybe even 15-20 years based on the acceleration of everything media related. one piece will end, it will be legendary the same way american comic books were in the 50s-70s and onward, and all these manga will be the next wave of hollywoodification. itll probably be a good thing. disney is trying to set up a dragonball live action universe, for example. there will have to be early failures for successful adaptations down the line
Luffy isn't the only fricking devil fruit user
I love the subtle smile on Oda's face when he comes up with the name "Emerald City"
7:26 arnoment haki has that like metallic look sometimes, so I’ve always kinda assumed that like the metal was moving so fast or had so much pressure being applied to it or something that it created sparks and then fire
The friction with air does
More than being descendants of Lunarians, i would say that by the time King was captured at Punk Hazard, MADS was working there. Judge stole part of many prisoners DNA, including King, and infused it with Sanji's DNA. During Kaido's escape, he rescued King, and Queen saw a chance to join, thus abandoning MADS.
That doesn't explain how Sanji could use Diable Jambe in _Nami's Body_ though.
The fire from Luffy and sanji is meant to just be friction I’m guessing. It’s pretty obvious if you don’t over think it. The first time sanji did it he had to spin a ton super fast and friction generated heat causing it to combust. Luffy has to stretch super far backwards and release it, causing his fist to gain speed and catch fire.
so its the 'anime logic'
Its the god nika logic he literally can youse lightning spears
When sanji first used this fire attack he was spinning really fast to heat up is leg so maybe he can just do it so fast that we can no longer see it
I believe that. He is pretty much a super human.
His passion burns brighter than any flame

Sanji is just build different
Ive always imagined Luffy can do Red hawk for the same reason spaceshuttles etc light up in flames upon reintering orbit. The immense speed of his fist shooting out compresses the air density making it heat up and produce heat/flames.
Thought Sanji was moving so fast he caught fire for those attacks, pretty sure early on at least he used to spin extremely fast to ignite his leg.
He did at Enies Lobby. Can't remember when that stopped. Pretty sure he still did that on Thriller Bark.
It is not because of his moving. It's literally all explained now why sanji has fire.
I think I have an answer to why Sanji can make his leg go on fire; in Enies Lobby he uses friction to make the fire
i feel like we have to run into a strong ass bounty hunter eventually . that would be a dope ass character / story line
Oda is wasting the pirate aspect after the time skip. Instead of giving us treasure maps & bounty hunters, he gives us wedding cakes & furries.
@@hoodiemelo3962 Why would Bounty hunters actually bother with hunting extremely strong pirates in the NW anyways?
Bounty hunters usually don't have a crew which increases the risks with taking on an entire pirate crew especially in the new world.

Theres a theory that is not too uncommon that some World Nobles wanted it and Shanks’ crew just happened to come across it.

@@scrbroadcast isn’t it tho the user learns the name of the fruit after consuming it?
Garp probably told Woop Slap by accident, he’s been known to spill important secrets in casual conversation before
10:23 My personal theory is that the giant strawhat actually belonged to the original Poseidon and Luffy already has Joy Boy's strawhat.
This actually makes a lot of sense, it could also tie in with the fishmen & merfolk moving to the surface, as the straw hat protects from the sun
Not bad, my dude.
@Shalosh Kokhaot Bro the void century was hundreds of years before Neptune was born, no he wouldn't. This theory is totally sound and makes sense.
@Shalosh Kokhaot Oh yea, good point. Only someone who was alive in the void century would have heard of Joy Boy, so Neptune must know the whole world's history.
@Shalosh Kokhaot That could simply be because of oral story telling. Little details like outfits usually get lost after a while
The person who asked about why can luffy create fire just got their answer
JoyBoy being a GIANT AND being the user of the Gomu-Gomu No Mi seems so crazy to me. Imagine a Whitebeard bouncing through the Grand Line XD

Not exactly realistic physics but anime pirates are not bound to the laws of our world.
well i dont think pirates aren’t unrealistic but the fruits are
I think Sanji was just made using Lunarian DNA.
Never expected the thought that I had 15 years ago would actually get a serious response. Thanks!

I think fujitora witnessed many tragedies namingly the destruction of Ohara, the death of fishertiger and the descrimination faced by the fishmen and forced to take down several people (especially girls). They already explained Sanji's fire in the anime, he moves his leg so fast the air resistance creates heat.
Also, I'm new to the channel. Love the content.
When you said "He's dead!" so casually about Gin I almost died myself lol
Why/how do sanji and luffy use fire;
Im totaly in with sanji beeing a partly kings race (maybe not inherited, but his father could have modified him that way.
Sanji does it by moving his leg at extremely fast speeds using the friction of the air to create heat
What matters more is why isn't it hurting Sanji.
I swear, I woke up from a fever dream and saw a video that was a collab between Nux and Liam. Kinda glad that was a hallucination.

There would be a big hole in that theory, since fuji didn't join the marines until during the timeskip

Well, we Italians say "non c'è due senza tre" literally meaning it can't exists a 2 without a 3
Sanji is able to conjure fire by creating an insane amount of friction along his legs.

2. Will of D. Meaning of the initial.
3. History of the Void Century. The ancient kingdom & the 20 allied Kingdoms.
4. More Details about God Valley & Rocks D. Xebec- his affiliation with Blackbeard.
5. A satisfying background story about-
Im, Vegapunk, Blackbeard, Dragon, Joyboy.
So we have fishmen who can control water, minks who can use electricity, and now Lunarians with fire based abilities. Neat

I wonder if bounties work the same way they work in real life where if you provide information that leads to arrest you get a fraction of the bounty.
About the Luffy and Sanji’s fire “production”:
Luffy - His Red Hawk is actually quite science based. When you get a rubber band and stretch it a few times really fast it does gets hotter. The fire produced in his attack just seems to be an exaggeration of an actual physical property of rubber
Sanji - After the fight with Queen, for me, it became clear that Sanji has always had some latent augmentation that came in form of that hot leg of his. Now that he unleashed his Germa power we have to see where it goes
my favorite theory as to why DV take away your ability to swim is that they are tied to Light and there's no light at the bottom of the sea or in BB's DV therefor rendering them useless
I love these One Piece Theory videos you make, I hope you reach 1M soon
I remember being slightly involved in the fanbase when people were speculating that the Emerald City was on Zou (something about a more literal Romanization of the Japanese name being just Zo, which is Oz spelled backwards), and I think I even vaguely recall people claiming that the Emerald City would somehow be associated with the White City from Law's flashback? Like, the Emerald City was underground directly below the White City or something? Anyway, I guess that goes to show you how long I've been a weekly reader. Dressrosa doesn't feel that long ago, but it did start in *checks notes* holy crap, 2013? Geez.
"The sea will hate you and take away your ability to swim"
Ahh that's exactly how pirates stories were told in many different media.
Why did this not show up in my feed until a day later? What the hell youtube.
I've always thought the fact that a devil fruit takes away the ability to swim was related to joy boys failed promise
