    You didn’t have to take off the engine mount ?

    did you use a stock gasket or a new?

  • @jimmydoan007

    I know it is a challenge when recording by yourself, but you need more lighting underneath the car. When you are pointing at bolts or nuts, we can't tell what you are referring to. Thx. Keep up

      I know thats definitely something Ive noticed. Ill get a led light kit or something to make the videos better. Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for the post! I used your video to help me install my Skunk 2 header on the S this past weekend. How is the O'Reilly''s donut gasket holding up? Any leaks?
    I'm using the donut gasket that s2 provides with the header but I'm not convinced that it will hold up. Thinking about reusing the OEM donut.

    • @TenBuckTraveler
      @TenBuckTraveler  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey glad I could help! Pretty easy install. Orelly's gasket is holding up just fine. They are both just a coil with lead (I believe) around it. OEM or Oreillys they are the same.

    Where did you buy your comptech header?

  • @TheChannel1978
    @TheChannel1978 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for your videos. What was the metal flange piece that got mangled? Is that a flange to connect to the test pipe or cat? Sounded like you replaced it with a generic part from the auto store. Is that fine diameter wise? Seems like if it is slightly off it could rattle. I'm thinking to remove my test pipe (installed by a garage) and put the cat back on to see if it makes the car a bit quieter, bit noisy because I have headers and Mugen exhuast. So thanks so much for your timely videos!

    • @TenBuckTraveler
      @TenBuckTraveler  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hey there, the gasket is between the test pipe and header. It is not generic, as it is meant for the s2000 however it is not an OEM honda part. No rattles for me

    • @TheChannel1978
      @TheChannel1978 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is that the same part that would connect the header to the cat as well? Auto stores where I live don't carry much. If I bung up that part I think I'd have to get the Honda part.

    • @TenBuckTraveler
      @TenBuckTraveler  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      if you swap cat or test pipe you would likely want to always replace that part. unless you dont damage it at all taking it off. you likely will because its just a coil with soft lead around it

    Did you notice any difference with this header? The stock one seems to have a good design. Im asking because I just bought an s2000 I come from k series and just a header on those engines is a night and day difference. I've read otherwise with header on the F series.

    • @TenBuckTraveler
      @TenBuckTraveler  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would not spend the money on a header unless I had a way to tune the car. I plan on using an AEM infinity in the future and I got a good deal on this. Otherwise I would have gotten the AEM first and waited on the header.

    Nice job! does the butt dyno notice any gains?

    • @TenBuckTraveler
      @TenBuckTraveler  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Butt dyno says no gains. Felt more throttle response (maybe mid range TQ increase) with just the intake, exhaust, test pipe. Might have skipped the header without any means to tune the car now.

    Removing the heat shield with the OEM header is a bitch. The bolt by the firewall is a pain. I need a long extension 10mm wrench.

    • @TenBuckTraveler

    How is the drone now t

    • @TenBuckTraveler
      @TenBuckTraveler  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd say the drone is the same. My car has more drone because the interior is gutted for the roll bar. If the soft top and bulkhead was still there there would be no drone at all

    I have a skunk2 alpha header and it is very complex to get on for some reason.

    • @TenBuckTraveler
      @TenBuckTraveler  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah depending on the configuration of the header, an inch or two wider here or there can make it much harder.
