Thanks as always to each and every one of you that watch the videos and support the Stavros969 channel, it’s because of you all that I got these tyres and massive thanks to Michelin 👍🙏
Wow, 130 PSI. The ride would be very rough. I’ve been running super singles on Volvo and Scania for many years now, pulling a road train combo in Australia, and I run super single steer tyres at 85 PSI based on Michelin technical advice. Although we only run 6.5 - 7 tonne on the steer axle. I find it very curious that Michelin tyre pressure recommendations vary so much between countries. Also been running 90 PSI on the drives for years. I use an auto tyre inflation system on the drives that keeps them at 90 PSI regardless of outside temperature.
Really nice of Michelin to do this for you. Sure, it's marketing for them, and the cost is negligible as far as they're concerned, but come on - they're Michelin. We all know who they are. Heck, I have Michelin tyres on my car. They don't need extra exposure, so kudos to them for reaching out. Trevor seems like a very nice chap, and very well versed on their product, glad they have these kind of people on the front lines. Trust me, I've dealt with reps in my field of work who didn't know their... well, you get the idea.
Reading the title for this I was not really excited, but Stavros makes everything exciting. Glad I watched, and learned something, Thanks for making these. You are like a shot of caffeine for my Sunday mornings. You certainly deserve all of your subscribers. It will be interesting to get an update on your new Honda.
Hello mate . When I ordered my last truck, I had to pay an extra of 2500€ to get it fit with Michelin so , gor the first time of my " career " as an owner driver ( since 04/ 1987 ) I decide to choose something else and run for Hancook. 180 000 kms on the front axle and 280 000 on the back one .I run fridge trailer between Brittany and east of France , that mean mix of motorway and B road , most of time 38 to 42 tons when leaving and very often close to 45 on my way back . Now I put Michelin again and hope I' ll do at least the same mileage 🤞. P.S : My truck is now a 650 Scania , good vehicle 👍, 385 / 55 on front and 315/ 70 back . Please to watch you soon on your next vidéo. Greatings from Brittany.
Good video Stavros I am pleased that Tyre bloke informed me of the accident damage warranty my tyres man never mentioned it we have been cough out by this before
Hey Stavros! Wish you could do a detailed video about how to couple and uncouple semitrailer on truck. Maybe with some tips and tricks of your own?! Just keep those videos coming, love the truck content.
We run with 9.0 bar on the front. Driving axle 8.0 bar. Front 385/55. Driving axle 315/70. Used to mount Bridgestone complete but changed to Good-Year k-Max last year. Bridgestone on driving axle lasted +300.000km and we gross up to max 50tonn. My average is around 45tonn max. I hope you'll have good results with the Michelin's. Stay safe. Greetings from the Netherlands
I drove a coach for more than 30yrs most of them were on Michelin, worst tyres were Bridgestone, like driving on solid tyres, nagged my boss until he put Michelins back on.
Very well earned your current subs. Many more subs will come . Worry not Stavros. Sooner than you might think 200k subs will come. Plan ahead and think for something cool for the 200k subs. I often see you nearby trucks from this company Rory Lynch. You drive for them or are you a transport manager ?
Love your videos, can we have one about trailer connections, you mention suzies all the time and i would love to know how they work and whats involved to connect a trailer. Cheeeeerrrrrs
Somebody's going to get a great set of Bridgestones! Loads of meat left on them. Would've liked to have got the Michelin guys thoughts on wheel balancing. My old Scania suffered terrible shake before I got them done.
It's interesting 385 is considered a heavy haul or dump truck tire here in the USA I believe its because of the shorter wheelbase putting more weight on the steer axle on euro trucks
Here in Denmark are almost all steer and single wheels 385 on normal trucks. Here you are allowed to put allmost 20.000 pounds (9000 kg.) on you steering wheels and up to 25000 pound on a drive-axel. with duallys. You are allowed to run 124.000 pound (56 tons) on all normal roads your kingdom with a truck + trailer/pub with up to seven axles.
No, not usually I've only had on set balanced in 30 years! I think they can put a small bag of sand type material in them to help balance out the tyre.
I thought fitting lorry tires would be a similar process to car tires, do you not have to balance the rims like you do with car tires? Congrats on the 100k!!
That was not much on those tires, i drive a box truck and my steer has 238.000 km before new came on. My rear is still running and the speedometer say 371.000 km now and i have Michelin multi om the truck and i love them
I know michelin is a permium brand, but since I've never used them I don't know why they are so desirable. Are they that much better??? I mean, like rolls royce compared to fiat???

Nice truck.
Michelin representatives always super knowledgeable and supportive 👏
Let's hope they fitted them on the right direction of travel
Ascenso tyres are one of the best tyres for trucks.
Wow that's very nice of Michelin to send over a new set of tires. =)
Tyre 80kg.... my guess was 50kg! Kudos to tyre fitters it's hard graft and you see them in some bad situations changing offside tyres on the motorway.
Respect

Hi stavros have a nice day.
morning stavros! i have a question, why are most of the trucks in the UK 6X2 tractor units, here in europe 9/10 trucks are 4X2. thanks in advance
Pretty sure it has to do with weight regulations.
We run at 44000 kgs
If you ever decide to visit Scandinavia, you'll practically never see a 4X2.
@@TacitusKilgore.. i know, been there very many 6X4, and 25,25 combi's.
@@nickhorne960 with 6X2? dont think you do 44 tons with a 4X2 haha

what is the name of the tire tester with the application in the phone?

@starros969, how is the Michelin tires set performance so far?
it’s very good to use new tires, diesel savings and safe travel. how much does a michelin tire cost?
those old tyres look quiet good. can't you use it more?
Stavros, 'dash' me the old Bridgestone for my 2004 124L 420🤣🤣🤣
Congratulations over 100 thousand subscribers!! Have a nice weekend with your family and stay safe! from Japan! (^^)d"
Were the bridgestones regrooved at any point?
Hi Stavros 👋🏼
👋good morning
Michelin all day for me
How much did the Bridgestone weigh as a comparison please?
Any chance of a Michelin man for the front of my van 🤔
I presume there is no need to balance truck wheels ,???
No, not usually I've only had on set balanced in 30 years! I think they can put a small bag of sand type material in them to help balance out the tyre.
Now Stavros is away for a rest, he's very tyred
I wonder how much weight saving you have from an alloy centre compared to a steel one? Someone once said it was about 22kgs?
I thought fitting lorry tires would be a similar process to car tires, do you not have to balance the rims like you do with car tires? Congrats on the 100k!!
In the US, Michelin told us that their tires were so well built, that they didn't need balancing. We've found it true for the most part.
That was not much on those tires, i drive a box truck and my steer has 238.000 km before new came on. My rear is still running and the speedometer say 371.000 km now and i have Michelin multi om the truck and i love them

100 Kg per tyre, Whoaa
Is it just me or does the video not do it justice for the wear on the old tyres. They look fine on camera. Maybe just need a rotate lol
Awesome :)
Two Michelin men now for the cab of your truck be a nice touch.. great to see you have so many followers.
Nice info stavros..
greetings from indonesia 🇲🇨
Hi Stavros. I sent you some truck questions to your email. Cheers!
My guess is without rims 84 kilos and with 106 kilos
The Bridgestones only get about 130-140k km anyway... Worst truck tyres.
I am michelin fan but 500euro plus tax...shoot. Chinese are about 200...
hows ol Bridgestone..copied Michelins tread pattern from 20yrs ago...wont know yourself riding on them new ones
