  • Hi - welcome to this weeks mass making workshop. This week, we are doing some journal card bases in collage style. These can be altered to include any amount of papers and collaging, just experiment! Hope you manage to craft along, and get some serious mass making done with me during these workshops which I am hoping to upload every Tuesday. Many thanks for watching, and I would really love it if you could give this video a like and subscribe to my channel, Tinax

Seriously!? Whoever emailed you about your desk, THAT’S what she took from your videos? You teach so much, inspire so many and did she miss the memo about what these videos were about? Please do not feel the need to apologize for your creative process. Create away and be YOU, a creative, inspiring wonderful artist who should NEVER have to apologize for your style! I personally LOVE your desk and the AMAZING things you do with what’s on it. No apologies NO APOLOGIES are necessary for you being who you are. Craft on and thank you for all that you share.

Hi Tina, anyone who watches your videos should know, by now, how your desk looks. Don't apologize, you do amazing crafting. Viewers should vocus on what you are doing and not what your desk looks like. Actually you make me get up and start crafting everytime I watch. Doesn't bother me whatsoever🤗.

I never understand why if people don’t like something they feel the need to comment rather then just turn off🤔 I only discovered journaling during lockdown and have now watched many of your videos finding them fun and informative...and until I discovered your channel have never watched a video lasting as long as yours do. Thank you and keep up the good work. 💖

I watch your videos every day without fail and have never noticed any of the things you apologized for. Your videos are inspiring and entertaining and I look forward to spending this hour with you each day. I have created many wonderful projects thanks to your inspiration. Keep being you💖🇨🇦

It's not that I'm offended at the other person's email, it's just that I, and all the people with comments before mine, love you just the way you are. We are concerned that you feel the need to change, but we just want to continue enjoying the lady we have already come to know. It was easy to tell that you were rather upset at the idea that someone was put off by the mess during your crafting, we don't want you to have to feel that way, you are perfect just the way you are. If YOU want to change that is fine and we are behind you all the way. But if you are content with yourself then don't worry with changing for another person.
    ❤ you!

Hi Tina, PLEASE DON’T THINK YOU HAVE LET ANYONE DOWN. You do NOT need to apologize to anyone for your desk. Whoever sent you that email is so rude and if they don’t like what they’re watching... move on. But I’ll bet you any amount of money that that person used a lot of your ideas in her work because your ideas are awesome. I feel so bad that you feel that you have to defend yourself. You wouldn’t be you any other way. I love the saying, “If you can anything in this world...be yourself”!! And I think you are just that. Your you and you’re perfect the way you are.
I also think you were very graceful in your explanation of the whole situation. Lots of hugs 🤗

Well I guess it's my turn to weigh in on your messy desk..I feel when you have all the things you need right in front of you, it's how you create, I think if your desk was cleared, and you had to keep going back and forth getting all the things you needed it just wouldn't be the same..I love how you create and teach and generally make my day and you have helped many of us Newbies to create along with you and feel proud of what we have accomplished..so please, don't worry about what someone says about your messy desk.. I feel that's where your mojo comes from..so I'm begging you.. Don't you dare clean it up!🤭 I will see at our next tea time..♥️

1st...I am so sorry that I got distracted on Sunday and didn’t complete my order. The kit is beautiful and I have it now... 2nd...I along with many of these ladies love your style of crafting and are so thankful that you share what you do for free. You take the time every day to share something with us. You have a family and a home that definitely take priority so if your desk is ‘messy’ so what. Most of the time I wish my crafting area looked like yours. You inspire us daily , say encouraging words and uplifting us. If your area is distracting to anyone they can just move along. There isn’t any room for rudeness. Craft away Tina and I don’t care if it’s in your backyard or kitchen floor. Thank You so much for what you do!!!

I love your messy desk. That’s who you are and you have a life other than these videos. How very rude of whoever complained. I remember those notes saying a tidy desk is the product of a diseased mind!
You are such an inspiration. And not only do you make videos you are also producing those beautiful papers and that must take time as well. You never should apologise for being who you are. I’m so impressed. I worked for myself and at home and it wasn’t as easy as it sounded. I only have a small space as I stitch and knit as well and they aren’t without things I’m storing.
Please don’t change. I love your channel. I love your generous spirit. I’ve learnt such a lot so quickly. 😊💕🌷

I'm an extremely neat and organized crafter (and contrary to some comments, those of us who are tidy can be creative), but I have absolutely no problem with how your desk looks. In fact, I almost feel like I need to go back and view those videos because I can't recall being put off by how "disorganized" or "untidy" you were. That's you and it's how you create the many amazing things that you do. Hope the antihistamines work!

I'm sorry you have to justify your desk 🙄 I think it was quite obvious why it had become more messy I think you have done brilliant managing to keep us entertained while all your family is home. I do hope that this hasn't upset you, hasn't the world got enough problems without having a debate on your desk 🤔 I watch because I like the way you do things it's totally different from me and that is why I enjoy you I feel my tidyness actually can get in the way of my creativity. I hope this comment doesn't clip your wings I felt that you wasn't yourself today.
I totally get how everyone at home and they can't identify when we are actually working haha.

@@shabbydabbydoodah itz been a nightmare really, my daughter is 12 so first year of comprehensive she's had a good 6 hrs a day of work to do since being off. She's fine doing the work but getting her motivated and making sure she is actually doing work and not playing the sims has been a full time job it's getting harder to pull her out of bed each day. so glad I've not had to go back to work. im on annual leave in another week for a fortnight then I'll be going back most are back now but they have not insisted that parents go back

    Hey Tina,
I had a science teacher who kept a sign on her desk something about “A cluttered desk is the sign of a genius”. So of course I had to google it just now, and found “5 Creatives who had a messy desk”. It was an interesting article on canva.com, relaying that a Tidy Desk Stifles Creativity, and gave photo examples of Einstein, Mark Twain, and Steve Jobs, with their “creative” work desks.
If they can do it, so can you! No apologies needed, another reason we love watching you! 🙂❤️👍🏼
P.S...great idea with the journaling cards, I’m so trying it.🍊

I agree with the other lovely ladies. Your desk is and always will be just fine. My husband just shales his head at my desk. His comment to me seems applicable to you as well. He said " i dont know how you create such beautiful things out of the caos but you do. " So keep being you and do what feels right for you. Never apologize for who you are. If your good with it so be it. I love your videos. Thank you for sharing

Tina, FIRST, YOU are NOT likely to run out of ideas. After a few weeks you said you were running out of ideas and have said it several times since. You always come up with AMAZING mass making workshops whether they are your designs or someone else’s. The idea is to make lots of simple but gorgeous pieces kind of assembly line style in order to build up our stash.
Secondly, THAT WAS A TOTAL INAPPROPRIATE EMAIL!!! You are NOT working in their craft room, studio or home, and they don’t have to live with you and ultimately don’t have to watch. If she/he was busy crafting they would be concerned about what they are doing or NOT doing! It is nobody’s business how your desk and/or area looks. You may NOT be offended by their email, but your other 20k+ subscribers are. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER apologize for being you and doing you!!
We need to pray for the person who has nothing better to do with their time than to look for things to criticize and taking the time to do it!
That inconsiderate, rude person owes YOU a huge apology! I pray that person sends you a HUGE apology explaining that they were going through a rough time and everything was bothering them and that your style is not theirs and they love you and accept you the way you are NOT who or how they want you to be!
    Blessings and Hugs 🤗

You don’t need to apologize for anything. Your style is uniquely yours and that is that. Order may be important to some but not for all. If it bothers someone they do not have to watch. I watch a lot of crafters and most seem to flourish in clutter. It inspires and feeds creativity. Seeing papers fabrics and all our supplies at the ready shows the world of possibilities there are for creating. So that is how I feel about it. Mess leads to beauty. And your amazingly beautiful creations are proof of that. Hugs Ludmila.

Although my muse has been off since the pandemic hit us...I have a channel as well and so much goes in to producing each video. It isn't just crafting; it's back to back videos, Etsy restock, designing digitals, completing journals, coming up with new ideas, and sooooo much more....AND we love it all. Then we have our actual lives with our families and our homes and all that comes with it. Don't ever apologize for your wonderful desk....it is art waiting to happen, journals being created and videos coming to your channel. It's the love of crafting and sharing you give and to your subbies. Your desk is your wonderful space of creativity and crafting energy all waiting to happen and it is all a gift to those of us that watch your channel. No matter how constructive the email; those kind of comments are unfortunately not helpful. They leave us wondering if all our subbies feel the same way. I can tell you, they do not all feel that way....we love you and your channel and those of us gaining ideas and creative energy from you probably haven't noticed a problem with your desk at all. Hang in there and don't apologize! You are doing a great job!

I have tried your system of three collage pieces and it works great....makes it so easy. I watch you every day and your desk hasn’t kept you from making wonderful things and it certainly has not discouraged me from watching you. Do not feel you owe us any apology...and you certainly don’t owe that person an apology...if it bothers HER, then she needs to search out a new channel that features a neat-as-a-pin crafter...good luck with that lady. Keep doing what you’re doing Tina, it is your style and it WORKS for you and for us.

“Your chaos” needs no apology or explaining. That’s the thing ... it’s yours and how you work best, as do most of us. I would say after reading all the comments everyone feels the same way. Don’t change you! You’ll spend more time worrying about that stuff it could affect your creative process and none of us want that. You create some of the most beautiful things, and I love your whole process.

Can't understand anyone being bothered by a messy desk...it is the nature of our chosen craft. And your apology! You shouldn't have to apologize and I felt you over did it. I was offended on your behalf. You do lovely work and that speaks to me much much more than a messy desk (my work area makes yours look down right organized 😂) so please, no more apologizing. Hope your vertigo improves quickly, I know from personal experience how awful it can be. So craft on dear...looking forward to seeing more of the same. 😁

I do not think you should have to apologize for anything!!! My goodness, this last year was a disaster for many people in many ways! It’s called LIFE & life HAPPENS! Most of us are doing the very best we can in whatever circumstances we find ourselves. And working from home isn’t necessarily an easy thing to do. You were used to working from home, but then your family stayed home too!! And moms usually have the lion’s share of childcare, shopping, housework & meal preparation! I am exceedingly grateful that you have made the time to send out so many videos!! You are part of my regular routine: I have coffee with you every morning, rain or shine! You’ve not only provided us with fantastic new things to do with paper, but you’ve done it with grace, good humor & steadfastness! Each of has our own style of living & it’s not our place to criticize each other about what our homes look like. I would be in a total panic & stay up all night trying to clean & organize if someone was going to see my house (& especially my craft room!!) tomorrow!! I’m not lying: I can barely see my desk & absolutely can’t even work there!! Tina, do not feel badly about ANYTHING!! There is absolutely no reason to apologize! I am very sad that someone would make comments about how you live. As I said, you’re one of my best friends now! I feel like you could be my next door neighbor! You are giving thousands of us who may be lonely, ill, financially strapped, completely over-stressed by life right now a bit of sunshine & something to look forward to each day! I would be devastated to try to view a new video & read that you have had to cut back because of personal issues. (You, of course, may have to do that at some point, but don’t let it be because you had to clean your house!!) I hope I haven’t gone on too long with my comments, but please Tina, do not for a minute feel badly about your desk! This person can close her eyes or stop watching you if she can’t be grateful for your delightful presentation, each & every day!! You are much-loved, Tina! Have a wonderful day & another cup of tea, instead of rushing around trying to clean & organize!

"If you can't say something nice...DON'T say ANYTHING at all!!!"
    --Thumper's father
One of my favorite quotes from the Disney movie "BAMBI"
Why do people feel the need to criticize and "HELP" others by making them feel bad?
Tell the HATERS to go watch another channel...maybe the boy sitting in a corner staring at his phone recording himself doing NOTHING would be more to their liking!
Tina, do YOUR channel any way YOU can or want...I PERSONALLY watch when I want to relax...your voice is soothing and your accent lovely...you make interesting things!
My heart hurt to hear you feel like you had to apologize for what others commented...DO NOT EVER feel like that again...there are some so filled with self loathing that they must hurt others in order to feel good.
IGNORE them or tell them...adios amigos!
Bye, bye...don't let the back button hit you on the way out!
