I have embraced the mess. In the beginning I was cleaning like a crazy person. Picking up after the kids constantly and it was really stressing me out. Then I realized not everyone is as lucky as me to work from home. So I changed my mindset. A messy house means we all home together amd safe. A messy house in a happy, lived in home.
Lovely mass make again. I deFiniTeLy hear you re the tidy house!- even this horrific pandemic can't motivate me to tidy!- I just accept that I will ALWAYS find something else more interesting to do.....like craft!!!!!
As always love this tutorial on the corner pockets & side pockets! I chuckled 🤭 when you said, your daughter legs where aching from the bike ride. lol 😂. Young kids can say such funny things! Thanks for sharing. 😊😇
Tina, after watching your video I took some time today and made tucks. I just got out my scraps (which I never do) and started ripping edges . I made 5 tucks and they are beautiful. It took me a bit longer than I thought, but I slowed down, enjoyed the process and enjoyed the end result. I think we’re all going bonkers with the stay at home orders. I can’t wait for my first hug from all my friends I’m missing!
Phyllis Diller once said if you ever let your children right in the don't let them put the year. I love them both but your corner tucks are my favorite!🐞💚🦋🌻💜🐌🧡🐚
I love those, and I really like the idea of that one corner attaching at the bottom instead of the side. Then it wouldn't hinder me from putting lace down the side of the page. Well done!
Hi Tina, I know exactly what you mean about the anxiety of going out. i am a home bird too and so ordinarily love being inside doing my craft etc but do enjoy walks out in the quiet. trouble now is that I am one of the "vulnerable" so can't have face to face contact with anyone for 12 weeks. The knock on effect is that when that is over I am going to really struggle with panic and fear of germs.....as I am sure a lot of people are. I am in a studio flat too so no room to swing a cat but I have put up two large tables and a tv table surrounding my desk which is in the window ( so am lucky there ) I have a jigsaw on the go, two junk journals, my sewing machine, colouring books at the ready and my drawing book. :-) Happy as Larry, haha!! Thanks for all your lovely videos Tina, I really appreciate you very much. Keep safe. xox Chez. 😊😍
Awe Tina, thanks for the shout out! I am still not quite used to hearing my name on other people's channels. YOU make great tutorials! I subscribed and added you to my favorite Tutorials. Sending you Great Big LUVnHUGZ, Rita Donnelly
Tickles me when you sit on glued stuff, reminds me of a saying from the show 'Happy Days' The Fonz use to tell people to 'Sit on it!' I use to be able to clean 2 floors of the house, do a couple loads of laundry and mow the grass in one day plus get dinner on the table. Those days are gone. Now if I get one room done I'm doing good. I need more storage space!!! Impossible to keep tidy when there isn't space for everything. Hubby promised when we bought our house we'd have a new kitchen built on in 10 years. It's been37 years.....
Lol, I haven't seen that show for years! I know what you mean about the cleaning, but to be honest my excuse is simply that I would prefer to be crafting!!!! Lol. Yes it is hard to find storage space for everything, I did chuckle at your new kitchen (that never was) story x
I am in Texas in the United States and we are completely open. Restaurants are at 100%. Probably should not be, but here we are. We have 29 percent vaccinated. I am really hoping we don't have another wave. As for me, I stay home and junk journal. Thanks for keeping me entertained.
Definitely staying at home junk journalling is the safest place to be, it feels worrying that restaurants are open to full capacity already. Take care and stay safe x
I’m the same as you Tina, I’m a home body and staying home has never been a problem, until now. I don’t know whether it’s the fact that we’re meant to stay home or whether it’s the fact we’ve been in lockdown for so long but it is starting to get to me. Thank goodness for you and your fellow crafters helping us to get through. I miss the rummaging in thrift shops, the occasional meal out and visiting family. What I am worried about is that when it’s over will I get back to who I was or will I feel unsafe in the open. The weather has been dreadful for days, high winds, torrential rains and freezing cold so outside is a foreign land at the moment. Thankfully the kitchen window looks out towards the calving paddock and the newbies are so funny to watch. Once one kicks up it’s heels the others seem to follow along and they all belt off down the paddock, so cute. There is always something to smile about. Thanks for sharing your time and chatting with us.💖💐
Hi Tina, these are great. I love the double tuck idea. I’ve never seen the Rita Donnelly flip done this way...on both sides of the page, and I really like that. I have to say that the lock down isn’t really any different for me than any other day. We are retired and we pretty much stay home most of the time anyway. But, having said that, I do miss seeing our family. I also love hearing your stories of your children. I adore children. When you were talking about your Daughter and your bike ride, I did have a laugh at that. We have 16 Grandchildren and 7 are girls. They range from 9 years old to 3. When you said, your Daughter said her whole body aches after a bike ride where she wasn’t really peddling, I just chuckled and thought, my goodness she is as dramatic as all of my Granddaughters 😂. You gotta love it though. Bless her little heart! Take care and stay safe. Sending hugs 🤗
Lol, yes girls are so dramatic aren’t they? Wow, you must be kept busy with so many grandchildren, hopefully you are able to stay in touch with them with things like FaceTime? Stay safe and well x
I love these pockets. As always your items are so, so pretty I just did some paper dying. They are in the oven on 200° Will check them in 30 minutes. I keep a mixture in the fridge for such occasions. It's a mixture of tea, coffee, beet juice and white vinagar. It has more of a brownish color I havent used it a lot. I may add more beet juice and vinegar for a more pink shade
Your right about going outside, it’s so good for us💗 I was just saying the other day that I am grateful my kids are older during this situation, I really feel for you! You have made beautiful creations today!💝
Great tutorial! Love the corner tucks and the Rita Donnelly flip and the papers you have used are beautiful. Your mistake is a happy accident, another fabulous way to attach the flip!
I adore those corner pockets! I haven’t seen the torn corner ones before! They were all beautiful! Great job! Love them all and I love the Rose papers you used as well! 🌹🌷🌹
I like those double corner pockets and I’m with you, I’ve always seen the Rita flip done one at a time. That’s great doing two at once . Good production job. Take care.
I love the double layer corners. I've made few with the tearing effect and they are so pretty. I've never seen the flip around triangles. I'm definitely going to try those. I am so glad you and your family is doing well. It took me a long time to venture out. Once I made masks for me and my husband it kinda relieved my anxiety some. Stay safe! Tyfs!~~~hugs~~
I learned the double “tuck ~n~flip” in college around 2000/2001. I can’t remember if my prof or a fellow student showed me, but I loved doing them in tiny books for special/hidden notes. Haven’t done them in years and now you have inspired me to start doing them again. tfs!
I don’t think late, so much as just a different scene. In my college courses, we were making snooty “art” books that were falsely elevating themselves above journals. The idea that because they were designed with visual art and/or writing housed within them and only presented when complete, that somehow that made them better or more formal than a book/journal that takes its time to become what it will be. Because of that, I think the two approaches for creating books/journals never went to the same “parties.” We made blank books/traditional journals, but they were so that we could learn & practice various methods of book binding or experiment with alternative materials. They were not like the beautiful works you create. Not to discredit what I learned in college, but what the crafting-journaling community does is far more creative, clever, original & inventive than anything I ever learned in those courses. They provided me with good bones, but it is people like you that encourage me to stretch & go beyond that confinement.
I think it’s so difficult to think that if we go back to normal... what if it starts again. I didn’t think of the poor, like in India, who are already living in poverty now face worse. It’s horrible to realize that this is not just our part of the world, it is the world. Crazy to think about. By the way, we send love and prayers from Arizona, U.S. Also. I love this idea. It’s simple enough that I just didn’t think of it, but I love it! Stay healthy love. 🌸🦋
Yep. Same here.. Did a big clean up at Easter. Looked good for a few days.. Grandkids have left hand marks every where...we live together with our daughter son in law and two grandsons. So it's never tidy haha haha. Drives me crazy. My kids tell me I'm OCDC... What ever.. 😁
You should try Coffee dying some lace. I love the look of mine. I use the cold Folgers coffee that is left in the pot and put small bits of lace in a bowl or soup cup and let it set over night. It turns out great. Maxwell coffee is rather inexpensive if you want to try it.
Hahahaha....kids are so funny, aren't they.... ( my youngest grand daughter who is 6 in July, her favourite comment if she hasn't liked something is, "its the worst day of my life"...hahaha 😂 ( yes, she is a bit of a drama queen...lol) Lovely video, thanks Tina xox
hey how are you good I hope.my name is Debra.I have been watching your videos for quite some time.I believe I have seen just about every one of them and you make beautiful and amazing things.Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to inspire all of us and thank you so much for the wonderful ideas and beautiful work you have helped all of us to create.I do have one small favor to ask when you are distressing your distress ink is on your glass mat and it scrapes against the glass and it sounds like nails on a chalkboard. So I was wondering if you could please make sure the distress ink was off the glass when you go to distress something ?It really hurts my ears.and Thank you for reading my really long message and keep up the really good work.
Hi Debra, thank you so much for your long-standing support, and for taking the time to comment and say hi. Oh will try and be more mindful of this going forward. Just a note, it will take a while for that to happen at your end, as I have quite a few prerecorded videos x
I saw a post on Facebook that went something like this: when you die you return to dust, so I can’t dust my house because it may be a family member or friend. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 I thought that was hilarious! I guess the good thing is that nobody is coming to our homes right now.
Hi Tina, I had great intentions of having the most organized, cleaned house in the state. I have made a bigger mess trying to clean things out and sort through them. It seems that to clean one room, you trash another one. 🙄 So, I haven’t gotten mine done yet either. My yard is a mess too, but it is difficult fo me to do being disabled, and I can’t get anyone to come do it right now. I enjoyed crafting with you today, as always. By the way, the Governor of my state is going against CDC and Presidential Task Force guidelines and has started relaxing restrictions. Our numbers are still not good. It is scary and sad. I am anxious about going anywhere. The longer I’m in, the worse it seems to get. I think most of us will be permanently changed by this plague.
Oh I am glad it’s not just me who is failing miserably at the tidy house thing! Yes, definitely the clearing does make more mess whilst it’s going on,, and sadly that can be such a long process! The restrictions are tricky I guess it must be hard to find the right measures for those in charge. X
Tina , I use the ground coffee. Dying paper I use copy paper and it comes out the brownish. Lite color. Some I spray. We don’t hv instant coffee, it’s flavor is not good to me. I believe. Ay be the finish that is already on your Matt finish, it reacts differently. Just my opinion for what it’s worth. Hope your family is well and safe. Sounds like you are doing alright. Praise the LORD. Lov always, Lin
Thanks for sharing. I did think your camera was too much to the left so we saw more of your pile than of your work. I’m a teacher in the US and I was wondering if your homeschooling was using assignments from the school/teacher or just doing work you found on your own?
I don’t know for sure, but from experience, ground coffee, unless it is finely ground, is not as strong. I use instant coffee and can easily make it any strength I like. You may have to add extra ground coffee and steep it longer. Love the project you are doing. Barb
So true. Messy house is not important. A filthy house is different. What’s important now is health and family. Maybe society needs to slow down and rethink what’s happening in the world and your children.
Could be worse! Could be tucking them under your bum! 😂😂😂 Uk weather to be 80° by the end of this week! Hottest April in 360 years apparently! And no more rain due this month! I think your lesson shifts should be arts and crafts classes! Teaches coordination, organisation, self expression, creativity, sense of achievement, design skills, resourcefulness, imagination, measuring... Ok maybe not measuring in your classes! 😜😜😜 Nothing wrong with reinstating some good old fashioned Home Economics classes! That includes housework, cooking, baking, ironing, making beds, cleaning, finances... Your house could be spotless without you shifting your arse by just one cheek!!! Yay!!!! 😁😁😁
Liked these pretty pockets! But I could have done without Covid talk, we know all the ugly facts and reopening etc. I don't want to hear about it I these tutorials.
Everyday you have taught me something new that I have never seen before!!! Totally look forward watching you and all your talent💕💕💕
Oh thank you so much Nancy, I really appreciate your kindness and am thrilled that you pick up bits and pieces from my videos x
I like the torn paper look. I especially like the way you placed torn pockets in the corners. Just gorgeous. I love it!!!!!!
Designing all these scrap pieces are so nice to put in a journal or card.....everyone different when you don’t use scissors, smart move...thanks
Simple but very lovely combinations.
Rewatched and just as great!
Great attitude, I will try and embrace the mess also x
I love that quote "a messy house is a happy lived home" beautiful words
Lol, the 1st time you said it, I laughed, but then I realized you really did sit on those corners, luv it! Thank you for a fun video.
Lol x
Lovely mass make again. I deFiniTeLy hear you re the tidy house!- even this horrific pandemic can't motivate me to tidy!- I just accept that I will ALWAYS find something else more interesting to do.....like craft!!!!!
As always love this tutorial on the corner pockets & side pockets! I chuckled 🤭 when you said, your daughter legs where aching from the bike ride. lol 😂. Young kids can say such funny things! Thanks for sharing. 😊😇
Yes they do say such funny things don’t they? Honestly, she was hardly even peddling 🙃😉 x
I love your creativity. These double corner pockets are awesome
Still impressed by your videos of many years ago,
Love the corner pockets
Loved so much torned up papers..perfact.

Of course my favorite is the Rose's and lace.
These are fabulous Tina!
Love the torn edges look!
Love this! Great way to use our scraps. Love the way you collage. Tyfs .. xx ❤️
Thank you Rosie x
Lovely ideas TFS 💞🙏🏼
I love those, and I really like the idea of that one corner attaching at the bottom instead of the side. Then it wouldn't hinder me from putting lace down the side of the page. Well done!
Thank you so much Peggy, have fun with them x
I like them all.
Thanks for sharing such a fun video 🌴😍
I've caught up on all your videos lol I've spent the whole day with you 🤣😜😘
Good morning Tina! Hope you are all safe and healthy. Have a great day. Xoxo
I'm also loving those torn edge flip. Just what I needed for my journals.
I adore Bo Bunny.
Lovely. TFS.

Great tutorial. Love the torn edges and the double pocket.
I've never seen the double flips before either, make the single normal ones all the time but love this idea too!!
I love these pockets. As always your items are so, so pretty

Really nice Tina I love the idea and always looking pretty I love your crafting and look nice an easy like you say tfs
I love the torn edges also...great idea.
I love the torn pockets you made. I am definitely going to make some of those. Tfs 😃
I like those double corner pockets and I’m with you, I’ve always seen the Rita flip done one at a time. That’s great doing two at once . Good production job. Take care.
love these pockets, so pretty and beautifully decorated, brought pockets to a whole new level!
Stay safe and well also Barbara x
They are all beautiful
Thank you for this video..I made a few also
Stay safe and well 🎶🐦🌼🌷
I learned the double “tuck ~n~flip” in college around 2000/2001. I can’t remember if my prof or a fellow student showed me, but I loved doing them in tiny books for special/hidden notes. Haven’t done them in years and now you have inspired me to start doing them again. tfs!
Oh wow, I really am late to the party! Lol x
Love the torn corner ones. So pretty! I was excited to hear you have a project coming with your glue book digitals! Love them, bought them right away!
I’m making my first journal now and this dbl pocket will work nicely.
As always I love your work, they are so cute
I think it’s so difficult to think that if we go back to normal... what if it starts again. I didn’t think of the poor, like in India, who are already living in poverty now face worse. Yep. Same here.. Did a big clean up at Easter. Looked good for a few days.. Grandkids have left hand marks every where...we live together with our daughter son in law and two grandsons. So it's never tidy haha haha. Drives me crazy. My kids tell me I'm OCDC... What ever.. 😁
I so know what you mean, the endless tidying just feels like you are fighting a loosing battle! X
Ground Hog Day.. I believe that was the name of the movie.. 😂 😂 😂 😂
You should try Coffee dying some lace. I love the look of mine. I use the cold Folgers coffee that is left in the pot and put small bits of lace in a bowl or soup cup and let it set over night. It turns out great. Maxwell coffee is rather inexpensive if you want to try it.
I did some just the other day funnily enough. Out in the garden, dying the lace is definitely a summer job I think, too messy to do indoors. X
Hahahaha....kids are so funny, aren't they.... ( my youngest grand daughter who is 6 in July, her favourite comment if she hasn't liked something is, "its the worst day of my life"...hahaha 😂 ( yes, she is a bit of a drama queen...lol) Lovely video, thanks Tina xox
so lovely.thx for filling my corona days :)
So many great ideas and beautiful pieces Tina! I've been trying to catch up with my scraps lately, lol, I don't know if I ever will : )
Love this. So easy with lots of impact. Not sure why but I cant get to your shop from your page. I have to go out and put it in manually. Thanks Tina
Oh no, I am so useless with links, I will have to see if it works normally x
Pretty 😍
The glue seems to be cooperating today!
Love the gentle, torn style!
Try a small bit of Gesso over the top of the shiny photo ephemera you got. It will allow you to ink a little better,
Baking is a great lesson. I think in today’s school not much is being taught for home economics.

ps...what kit is your pink floral paper from, Tina....really pretty, pink flowers with words at 10:44minutes into the tutorial...love it...!
It is from my beautiful birds kit x

She is quite the diva. Lol. I think she won’t be on the racing team I don’t imagine. To cute.
Lol x
Are literally sitting on those corner papers to set the glue? I mean, it would work.
What did you say the name of the page of rose flowers is ? I can never have too many flowers.. Please and thank you, love the corner tuck spots...TFS
It’s the four page roses fussy cuts x
@@shabbydabbydoodah Thanks!
Thanks for sharing. I did think your camera was too much to the left so we saw more of your pile than of your work. I’m a teacher in the US and I was wondering if your homeschooling was using assignments from the school/teacher or just doing work you found on your own?
So sorry, I have a new camera setup and am still trying to get it just right. Yes, we are just winging it with the homeschooling x
I don’t know for sure, but from experience, ground coffee, unless it is finely ground, is not as strong. I use instant coffee and can easily make it any strength I like. You may have to add extra ground coffee and steep it longer. Love the project you are doing. Barb
Finally did a shop yesterday, and picked up some more instant coffee, I will just stick to that in future 🤗😉🙃 x
Could your ink be drying up somewhat
Oh my goodness. You have a scan n cut too. I love mine but need to find a more convenient place to use it. xoxo Gloria 🐂
May I ask what is your ring made of ? I keep looking at it it’s hippie ish

Oh it’s such a cheap and cheerful thing, it’s plastic! Lol x

So true. Messy house is not important. A filthy house is different. What’s important now is health and family. Maybe society needs to slow down and rethink what’s happening in the world and your children.
Yes maybe we will all reflect a bit when this is all over...... x
Chelle “Chellified” the corner pockets 🙂
I thought she had, but wasn’t sure. I loved her take on them x
Did you play Monopoly on your rainy day LOL xxx
No would you believe it? Nobody wanted to play, so just a couple of evenings so far! X
my paper turned tumeric color too dying my printed paper ..its so ugly looking
Oh it’s so annoying, I’ve never had that happen before x
Could be worse! Could be tucking them under your bum! 😂😂😂
Uk weather to be 80° by the end of this week!
Nothing wrong with reinstating some good old fashioned Home Economics classes! That includes housework, cooking, baking, ironing, making beds, cleaning, finances... Your house could be spotless without you shifting your arse by just one cheek!!! Yay!!!! 😁😁😁
Lol x
My house is so messy because of this lockdown.
What happened to your etsy shop?
I'm not sure I know what you mean? x
I don’t like so much mess. It doesn’t come across nice to watch.
Liked these pretty pockets! But I could have done without Covid talk, we know all the ugly facts and reopening etc. I don't want to hear about it I these tutorials.
Sorry Rebecca, no offence meant x
