I've replaced a rotary manifold on a 270clc once. By myself too. It was a rebuilt manifold and 1000 hrs later it was leaking again 🤣 took me almost a day to take out the old one and put the new one in by myself. I have never been so mad before considering it's not light when you're underneath trying to put it in
LOL you two having a little bit of a bromance 😂 I was playing in hydraulic oil yesterday fighting with a auxiliary line on a 225 Deere. I hate zero tail swing excavators everything is a huge pain in the ass to work on. Shitty ORB fittings, not a job I wanted to do on a Friday.
Sounds like the hkx auxillary hydraulic kit I did for a pc210lc-11 that was powering a rdm 52ex mulcher head that I did last week, service writer gave me 40 hrs to do it...id never seen one of these before in my life and it fought me every step of the way. Needless to say I got it done and when the driver was loading it he hit the thumb control, the dig bucket fell out and WHACKED the cab.
That was a great video cause it showed me something I didn't know as a Diesel Tech plus funny as heck haha lmfao. The shit us Diesel Mechanics say to each other 😂😂😂
I fucking hate try to loosen off the top oring boss fittings. Crows feet, on a long extensions with my longest 1/2" ratchet. That and digging out the seals from inside the swivil are a pain. Boiling water on your tailgate in a coffee can to make the seal flexible helps.
Sometimes it's easier to do it in a shop setting with less chance of contamination to the system. Also it looks like they got it resealed by a hydraulic shop of sorts. That saves the mechanic time and also removes liability of leaks from them to the hydraulic shop if problems in the future arise.
As a former aviation field mechanic and now just a bone head sissy boy auto mechanic you two sure are making me miss the field life. That and Cam looks and acts like a knuckle dragger I used to know
