All joking aside the knowledge you share is priceless especially to someone such as myself that doesn’t know crap from crisco and all your videos really do make a difference, thank you and keep the videos coming.
This is why I love low key channels. None of the bs jargon. All the overly "professional" people I've watched or met just gives a superficial vibe can't ever trust those dealership typa guys lol. haha btw that old schooler rant was freaking on point, old uncle Mcdiesel always looking down on us new generation mechanics... love the fact you distinguish yourself from them😂🤣 Love from mission BC.
Great video brother. I have worked as a Field Service Technician at MSPCAT (The authorized Caterpillar Dealer in Myanmar). Now I am working as a heavy equipment technician in Dubai. One day I would like to work with TEKAMO HD.
Screws are meant to be stretched, loosened and then restretched I mean re-torqued. Just multiply the nominal torque by a factor of 1:4 each time you restretch
Thanks Garth your the man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I absolutely love you guys!! This is my type of trade definitely seems awarding!! Just subscribed to your channel. How do you get into the get in the field with no experience?
Welcome to the community! Go to companies that work on heavy equipment and ask if they’ll take on an apprentice. Be transparent with your current experience and prove you’re willing to learn and that you’re reliable. School is another option.
Get the CAT tool. For the 3126 its $630 US, but don't have to worry about metal shavings falling in the cylinder. Cut the job time in more than half. 3126 has no trim codes, even the CAT ones. learned that one after SIS freaked out when i tried to look up the files. Called dealer and they were like ah ya just slap those bitches in and send it. I like to use the Lisle no spill funnel. Lets you overfill the system so all the oil/fuel floats up into the funnel while its running.
Did cups 1 at a time customer only wanted 1 that was leaking done on 950 G and told him do all he knew more than us 4 different service calls 📞 last time I just did the rest to be done lol
Starting as an heavy equipment apprentice at a rental company next week. I've got a pretty good tool set started and I'm going to tech school Any advice?
Be prepared for long work days, frustrating situations in the field, your mental and physical abilities will be tested daily and your body is going to be hurt and sore just about everyday, good luck!
Check those injector seats their all defective right from cat and can be repaired easily with an aftermarket tool part#c15-3055 reammer will stop combustion cases breaching seats messing up o rings and cracked nozzles or even cracked heads
NOT SURE WE’LL ASK HIM BUT IN THE MEAN TIME BUY AN AIR HAMMER??? www.fortishd.com/product/tools/mueller-kueps-vibro-impact-air-hammer/ THANKS GLAD YOU LIKED THE VIDEO
Shouldn't the loctite be on that last radius? Like in the corner. I would assume the pressure of the injector hold down would press the cup in further and it would seal on that radius. But that is an ASSumption 😂
Yeah don’t double copper injector washers. You’ll get a grayish smoke constantly and beat your head against wall trying to figure it out. Don’t ask me how I know.
Get yelled at for taking a half hour to track down the exact part number, or get yelled at for winging it. You can't win, I say go for #1 for safety and billable hours

You hit the nail on the head 👍
When is Cam going to do a house tour? Show the family life of a mechanic/business owner. Show us a life of Cam? We love this guy
Got that same vacuum. Works great and charges fast.
For a Canadian to compliment Stateside tooling and then show us the hole tip to boot. Damn I'm lucky.
Very interesting content. The tool you used to get the cups out was really interesting and informative to se how it was used
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video brother. I have worked as a Field Service Technician at MSPCAT (The authorized Caterpillar Dealer in Myanmar). Now I am working as a heavy equipment technician in Dubai. One day I would like to work with TEKAMO HD.
Your doing it correctly, lock tight or bearing mount on very bottom, lube up top orings, install 👍. NOTE: ALWAYS replace injector hold down bolts!
Why would you change the hold down bolts
Screws are meant to be stretched, loosened and then restretched I mean re-torqued. Just multiply the nominal torque by a factor of 1:4 each time you restretch
Caterpillar recommends replacing them every time
You can also use grease on your tap and in the sleeve to catch the shavings
Cam's back to work. Looking forward to seeing what's coming from the channel.
Really enjoy these repair videos 👍
More to come!
fantastic video as always! Learned so much. :)
Dudes a fountain of info I love it!
One of the hardest jobs in the world
Great video, do you have a part number for that tool by chance? Awesome to see some more repair videos!!
Awesome,great mecanics and entertainers 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
Great video guys! Cam is always informative...
Im a millwrong and have hemostat pliers in my truck lol thought I was the only one
Nope. Got a few different styles from Princess Auto. Handy for small soldering jobs too.
Cam ye really know your job 👍🏻 love watching this it’s so interesting 👍🏻
Take your time. Well said.
My service laptop is the most useful and commonly used tool on whatever job I’m on, sometimes the only tool I touch depending on the job
A service laptop is definitely an invaluable tool when wrenching now and days.
It’s like having a fire side chat with you underneath the machine ,cool
Great video!! Thanks!!
American made tap all the way everyday. Leave those imports at home. Great video I think listened to too much air pressure or so my wife tells me. 👍😁
Milton makes a siphon gun that works really well for cleaning injector bores
Thanks Garth your the man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He is the MAN! More videos like this coming out soon.
I have a single wheel truck and would love to t have one like you're s, I have always worked on trailer and semi trucks,
Enjoyed that mate thanks very informative and I like your style you are a cool guy 👍😅
Glad you enjoyed!
I would use locktight or anaerobic sealant on the cup tips
On the Ford heui ones you use the green lock tight and have to let it cure for 24 hours before adding coolant.
It’s called Retaining compound. Great stuff
Where did you get the injector cup removal/install tool from?
Another awesome video any chance you got the part number for that tool
Loctite 648 retaining compound is what cat calls for on some of their injector cups.
Never heard of using locktite for cup install. Iv always use a good quality engine assembly lube or vaseline. Interesting
That magnet would work good for pulling welding rod out of a fresh 50lb can.
Needle nose pliers or dump the can out and stick em in the plastic sealed containers

Commenting on the video for the algorithm
How did you narrow down injector cup ?
Did cups 1 at a time customer only wanted 1 that was leaking done on 950 G and told him do all he knew more than us 4 different service calls 📞 last time I just did the rest to be done lol

Thanks for the video!
What model engine is this? I assume the cups are different for the different engines for cats.
Can I get a link to the kit he used to pull that injector cup please and thank you!
Rosewood diesel makes a hell of a removal tool that’s reasonably priced
@derekranson8860 thank you! I will look into it
Cat sis 2.0 the way to go makes the job very easy
What are those orange things you put in your ears? Are they headphones or just ear plugs?
Also, new vehicles need a computer to even access security or programming that makes the machine work.
Cam reminds me of rut Daniel’s!
16:20 very handy tool indeed
do you have a reference of the instal kit ?
what is the part number for that tool kit?/

I beleive it’s in the service instructions for c15 to use lock tite
Thanks man! I'll have to check out a C15 manual as I didn't see it in the 3126 service info.
Great tooling do you have a link 😊
Do these guys have their own TH-cam’s
Hello Guys, what’s your hourly rate and travel cost😮
Also I used a penny in the bore on my 7.3 to keep shit out

When you gotta explain away your roach clip
ST-S903-UT should be the kit from stallion products
Same frequency 😆 wee dancer.
A canny hear ye hen
Are you working of company sir?
So your saying just the tip?
Shouldn't the loctite be on that last radius? Like in the corner. I would assume the pressure of the injector hold down would press the cup in further and it would seal on that radius. But that is an ASSumption 😂

Can’t stop thinking that those injectors look just like the injector for a 7.3 power stroke
I believe CAT and International (powerstroke) both created the heui injection system so it's very likely the design is the same
Injector just like a 7.3
I would have made the company pay for that tap. Unless I used it on a regular basis
Cam’s roach clip, I mean tweezer collection
Do you have a brother Drake by any chance
950s series 2 were nice loaders, tad under powered
Here I am walking all around my home looking for a random phone or an intruder because I could hear a message tone but nope it's the damn video
Get yelled at for taking a half hour to track down the exact part number, or get yelled at for winging it. You can't win, I say go for #1 for safety and billable hours
Compressed air is the same frequency as a woman talking 😂…stealing that one
👍👍
Do you need a helper, i need work i can job
I just did cups on a 7.3 the fucking tool I bought on eBay broke before I even got 1 of them out lmao
The worst 2 words you can hear when ordering parts. Backorder.
Also cat makes a installer for those injectors to seat them FYI
Right... you clearly know anything...
Never go in the bore crooked
950G 😂 tell those cheap bastards to upgrade.
