production quality feels like a Discovery channel show i’d watch when i was young, thanks for this! just amazing content.
Really appreciate that! We’re a small channel and community so glad to hear we’re doing a good job
@@TekamoHDthat’s an understatement. These are some of the most entertaining videos I’ve ever seen and as a new field tech, I’m learning so many neat tips
I usually don’t say this but this channel is criminally underrated…. Feel like they should have a million subs
“Zip tie it to the handle.” Game changer. Thanks! Nice watching again. Cheers. Watching from Ontario Canada 🎉
Hey Sean!
Hey that's where Justin Trudeau is from isn't it?
fantastic production value for your channel size. congrats.
Our media team really appreciates the comment! Lots more to come
Cam love watching u and minny me, keep up the good work. Been building engines for almost 45 years, started with DD 149's, Cummins, Cat and now doing Komatsu for the past 25 years. When putting seals in I put the sealant in the bore not on the seal O.D.. The reason is that while driving it in the sealant will dam up in front of the seal and if there was a nick in the bore that scratches the seal O.D. the sealant dam should keep it from leaking. Just one of the things I've done for years. Another thing I do on pipe plugs, I will try to tighten the plug before I try loosening it. If it doesn't move take a torch and heat the area around the plug, then try to tighten it again if it moves it will come out , if not add more heat until it will move. Haven't stripped out a plug in years doing it this way.
ziptieing the coolant drain hose to the handle of the bucket. Thank you bro :)
glad the video was helpful!
Can't beat an engine pull out in the field. Great job. I enjoy yanking engines out in the fresh air shop
Shade is nice, the field is fun
Informative and interesting. Always learn something new from you guys..
Glad to hear that Terry! 👌
Good episode Cam. Great entertainment.
The seal jokes are harlious... keep up the good work...
Best videos ever!!! Always so funny and learn something new every time 😎
These machines are actually available. I don't know why he focuses on the "custom" hacked-together parts of his particular machine. But asphalt droppers and recyclers are made in factories every day.
These guys the best 😂😂😂😂
Wow,another great job, thank you for sharing ,great entertainer and great mechanic 👍👍👍👍i am addict of your job
If I were to ever stop wrenching on emergency apparatus I’m going to call you cam 😂
The seal jokes will never get old! 🦭🦭
ar ar ar
Ooohhh maaaan, I gotten my fair share of pavers. I was expecting the boys to bust out chisels and hammers to get to to bolts covered in asphalt
You guys are awesome.
As a mobile mechanic myself I love the content here, the relatability is nice and welcoming. Question, what was the total turnaround time from showing up to new engine in and running, just like a 1 day 2 day, or hours guess is all
Awesome stuff. Really enjoy the channel
Thanks Tim. Glad to hear you like the vids 👌
Love it !
Engine swaps and pep and cheds? Can’t go wrong man
👌👌👌
nice work guys
Thanks Mike!

Back in the days to get aerial shots, You needed a rented helicopter or a plane. Now, a $100-$200 drone which can record and send video is enough.
Talking about tools for the newbeis. You don't need Snap on for everything, I stiil have Craftsman tool's in my box. I only by Snap on if it's not available from someone else. Don't buy sets when you start out, I would buy single items that I needed. If I had to borrow it more than two times I would buy it. I have sets that some items have never been used. My short 1/2 impact set is a Proto set I got for $45 in 1978, 1/2 - 1 1/8 and I still use them today. When you start out don't buy supper cheap but you don't need the best, once your making good money then you start buying the good stuff and you can take the other tools home for working at home. I also have never seen the need for s Snap on tool box, you can buy alot of tools for what those boxes cost. I've seen guy's spend thousand on a tool box and have almost no tools in it. You need tools to do the work, you can have all the Snap on tools and still not be a mechanic, the tools don't make you a mechanic. Put it into your own words, just my view on what I,ve seen and done over the years.
Just follow Cam around.
Crazy how much aluminum they use.

Seals, ar ar ar ar ar 😂
SnapOn should pay for Cams tooth
"I'm still banned from the zoo but you can't ban me from the whole ocean!"

How much you make?
I should have read the hole title...I clicked for a different reason 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
You needs the jalapeño
What's the average runtime on a job outdoors, and what's the coldest temperature you have worked in? How many hours do you typically spend on a job (a machine) in a week?
I'm interested in looking at a pre-apprentice program as a female but I wonder if my size and physical strength may have employers turn me away.
Oh, and how much of your day is driving? (E.g. is your work territory sending you out to jobs 1,2,3 hours away?)
Usually field mechanic is a higher position. Start as a shop mechanic first and it will help you land a field position.
If you can pick up 100pounds over your head you will be fine. And driving depends on parts and job location.
You’ll be fine. Attitude is everything, take the good with the bad. There are cranes on the truck, impacts and torque multipliers, if Carson can do it I’m sure you’ll be fine. PS, we are currently looking for an apprentice.
All you got to do is learn and self-study as much as possible.
Never go in dry
ay yaa
Only machine like it?? Lol only every big paving company has one 😒😒😂
13:45 no wonder your banned from the zoo hahaha
🤣🤣🤣
Give the man who names the videos a raise… Now 🔫
Thought this was going to be a much dirtier video
No wonder the engine failed the 3126/C7 the POS Cat engine not rebuildable with dry sleeve engine. Shit box HEUI fuel system the weather gets any bit cold the engine doesn’t want to start.
Another great entertaining vid! Thanks! Did they provide a seal? How did you know what seal number to bring with, or are all input shaft seals the same for that model engine? Or, are you just a psychic with magical powers to make a seal appear out of air water?
