Couple years ago when China hosted the olympics, they had this big display of a bunch of drones making pretty patterns in the sky, and I was thinking to myself how terrifying a military display that was.
Now you see the same displays every New Year and 4th of July all across the United States! And those numbers will be doubling every 2-3 years!
"If the only tool you have is a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail.” ~ Abraham Maslow
Imagine those small drones as suicide bombers that can track their specific assigned targets. Terrifying.
@@Shortly8908Dont know why, but that reminds me off the hunger games 😂😂
Humanity is blindly walking into a danger of which has never experienced before
Oh, I think the biden's and demoncrats are using the german tactics of 1930s...
not blindly, Jewish bankers and the worlds 3000 or so billionaires will control the economy and be very precise on how things play out for commoners.
Like it always has humanity is like a single organism of flesh that seeks to perfect itself even if it means the mass killings of millions

Yup. Gen x here.
AI is the biggest thing we have ever known. I am continually mind blown at the capabilities of what it can do.
Smart guy. The U.S. military must be moving with the tide/time and I'm glad he brought up the Germans creation of blitzkrieg during WW2 because it was game changing military tactic/strategy.
We're either gonna be completely enslaved or made extinct by this

Yea, he's not smart. The Afghanistan disaster was his FAULT! And now we see Hamas using m4s?!! But nice bot comment anyway. Keep up the good work.
@@trollingwiththefacts1996if an american buys himself a new m4, why not to sell the old one to some honest buyer? Will you call your general at that case?
I see news articles about AI being downplayed from various people but then whenever it's people in the military, there is more concerns being voiced.
And we all know, whatever civilians have access to, the military had it first and it now considered obsolete by their standards.
So, yeah I bet there is some seriousls powerful tech equipment being used in the military that they have to keep top secret because the level of power they weild might be too worrying for the general public to be made privy to.
Once ai is accessed by the military as a weapon in itself, the outcome could be uncontrollable at the same time unpredictable...ai learns and makes optimal decisions to whose benefit or destruction.
But we cannot depend on countries like China or Russia to be conscientous as we are.
😂😂😂
😂😂😂
true, because the war on terror was conscientious
Its important to stand in peace
There's been no end of dystopian warning in literature (and movies and TV) that warn against trusting AI with Strategic weaponry. For example, Collosus -The Forbin Project was an early warning (1960's) of autonomous computers given control over the Nuclear arsenal.
That's just what we need! A computer that makes critical decisions for us!

@1:20: OODA = Observe, Orient, _Decide_ , Act. Although to a high-level general, “Direct” may be equally as appropriate as “Decide”.
Gee, what ever could go wrong with this…🤯🤦♀️
I keep looking through the comments, and all I see is a bunch of people praising this movement. You see, just as I, a whole different level of danger that humanity is blindly walking into.
@@mav3818 it takes real guts to see the big picture. Most people are too afraid to raise their heads above their shoulders to get perspective on reality.
No matter what political party you affiliate with, the biggest goals our politicians should be focusing on are AI, quantum computing, and fusion energy. (Each one leading to the other) The country that is at the forefront of these technologies will lead the future.
Artificial general intelligence (AGI) and quantum computing appear to be the next inevitable steps in technological evolution.
We would've had advanced fusion technology twenty years ago if free and unlimited energy wasn't so inconvenient for certain lobbyists..
@@laynestaley4957 no worries my friend. These so called politicians will be replaced soon, in the future of course. For now, let's hope the AGI presence could (or would) be fastracking its progress, so that we humans could prosper 🙏
Reversing biological aging should also be a priority. What is the point in having all this cool tech if we anyway are going to die?
@@jimj2683 your statement is very true my friend. If I may add, what I am currently looking for or looking forward to right now is the Neuralink feature where our subconscious could be transferred into a different host. Downside is, that "host" could/possibly die by losing its subconscious and replacing it with yours. On the bright side, all memories are retained. Though another downside, we could possibly lose the coin-toss analogy and then that "host" would end up be a double of yourself. The future is indeed bright 🙏
I believe the Constellation in Baltimore harbor is the oldest naval vessel still afloat
The Constellation in Baltimore was built in the 1850s. It replaced one built in 1797, which no longer exists.
But even if it were the same, it is a museum ship, and no longer an active naval vessel. Which, by the way, the USS Constitution is. It remains a commissioned naval vessel with active duty military in charge of the ship. This detail makes it easy to validate the claim of oldest military vessel afloat.
This is correct. The HMS victory is the oldest commissioned vessel, and as such has a captain and crew, but she's not afloat, so the USS Constitution takes that particular glory. And a fine vessel she is too.
@@user-xn8hc8nc1z Thanks. I was not aware the HMS Victory has a captain and crew. Scuba gear?
@@janerkenbrack3373 I couldn't find how many crew are now assigned to her, but she does have a commander (easy to google) and so must have a crew, even if it's a few old sailors running a museum...!
Agree.
That was terrifying
It’s already being used its just a matter of how it will be used in warfare and it will it used ethical 🤔
Exactly.
It's already being used in the military and warfare . The military are at least a decade a head technologically
Well its going to be used for good and bad since the private military complex already has the technology aswell and probably more advance due to their budget of money. So its going to be a fight between AI's of the elites private sector fighting with our Govt and on top of that other countries fighting with our Gov't aswell. Each one having their own AI's technology controlled somewhat to some capacity. Spying and AI's, its going to be crazy but, is due to happen.
Its inevitable, cant stop technology from progressing. If you dont move with the times your going to get left behind. Its going to be part of daily life.
When we turn our strategic decisions over to AI is when things could get interesting. It's probably already happening on some level.
A.I is no where near smart enough to make its own decisions. It only copy and past things we've already done right now. All A.I right now is basically a copy and past machine
I use AI, and it's a game changer. It helps break down decision making. I even use it to test my understanding of any given situation. I also can test a strategy and how to implement it.
You clearly haven't watched the Matrix
Who needs to rely on their own intelligence, right? Fail.
You use something that uses statistics to find what word is most likely to be used next.
@animo9050 No, that is not what I use it for. In the simplest terms, it's a calculator. It can do calculations using complex formulas. I don't have to find the formulas and enter everything. I can just use words and make adjustments and back tests easily.
@elkarlos814 You must be one of those geniuses who knows all the Greeks and formulas. I'm not that smart. I still have to use books and stuff...lol

Tell me if I've made any inaccuracies in my information gleaning:
The US plans to manufacture autonomous drones as the latest and greatest (nonclassified) weapons moving forward. Some of the possible oopsies that could result would include other countries jumping on the autonomous weapon train and choosing to give the machines a looser leash than would be advisable.

Ai and neuro weapons are already at work and the battle field is on us soil. I know it was in use 13 years ago and also know it was in use years and probably decades before that. Since the military and the media miss report it or dismiss it’s existence many have come to the conclusion that they are operating it. These weapons are so horrible and vicious I can’t bring myself to think it’s our military. Possibly a rouge faction but not the regular command and control. It seems there’d rather keep it a secret rather than warn and protect us from these modern tools of war.
You're absolutely right 👍...they do the disclosure sporadically... they're just throwing softballs at this point....but pretty sure the concealed technology is thousands of years ahead of what we got right now at the public service.
