You should really check out the Phantom of the Opera performance by Floor and Henk Poort from this show as well. It is Beste Zangers 2019 I believe. A Dutch show that brings a bunch of singers together and they perform for each other, which is why Floor picked this song to sing for the young lady who does a number of covers on her TH-cam channel.

in this show there's every episode a "spotlight artist". all other singers will perform a song from or loved by that person. in this episode Emma Heesters was the spotlight artist( young lady in red). she is a big hit on youtube with singing covers. all the artists are pretty famous in the Netherlands. most of them also singer/songwriter. At this moment nobody knew Floor, because Metal music is almost not heard on Dutch radio. after this show it completely changed. she now got her own shows..in the whole serie of episodes Floor sung in Dutch,English,Spanish and German..she also speaks Swedish and Finnish....Floortastic isn't she?? greets from the NW Army in the Netherlands

As you know, Floor is from the Netherlands and was singing on this Dutch TV show. She was relatively unknown to her own country because Metal music is not popular there. This show made Floor popular in her country. Her version of Shallow hit #1 on the Netherlands iTunes chart. 😊🤘

Yes they are all singers and it's not a competition. They just sing a songs wriiten by any other of the singers or a song that means a lot to them. It's a hommage. Floor did really did sing a phone book and it sounded great. Try 'Que Se Sente' from that same show where Floor sings in Spanish

It's honestly worthwhile to watch the entire 2019 season of Beste Zangers. There's translated episodes "out there" on the internet. All of the people on the show are singers from the Netherlands, and all of them very good. Each episode is dedicated to one of the singers who gets to watch the other singers sing songs that are either written/performed by them or important to them. No competition, just singers paying respect to each other and singing beautiful music. The final episode is a duets episode, which includes Floor & Henk Poort's Phantom of the Opera and Emma Heesters (the girl in red in this clip) with Henk doing a song by Bocelli which was also GORGEOUS.
I got to spend 3 weeks working with Sam Elliot right after "A Star is Born" came out, Great guy alot of fun to work with and just sit around and talk with. So this was from the show "Best of Zangers " she does amazing on the show, all of them do some great stuff worth watching the show. her & Hank Port singing "Phantom of the Opera" on this show is a must watch

Yes, they are all very well-known (famous) singers. The tv show brings them together and they perform each other songs. You could view (in this series) the duet Floor sang with Henk Poort (very known opera singer) : Phantom of the Opera. Kuddos to you!!!

Here is the premise behind the show - 7 Dutch vocalist of different genre's gather in an exotic location where one of the group is a "guest" and the other's pick songs that were either penned or had some meaning to the guest. When Floor was on the show, only one other individual was familiar with who she was. It's not meant to be a competition like here just a collegial exchange of music. Floor sings pop (the last guy they showed, when he was the guest, Floor sang one of his originals and had him in tears (I don't know a thing about love) and to classical as when the gentleman she dueted with - Henk Poort - was guest, she sang Vilja Lied (from Act II of the German opera Die Lustige Witwe, sung in German)). It's a format that I really enjoy and has been copied by other Networks like in Germany which invited Floor to participate this past year. This show is where I became a fan way before hearing her sing with Nightwish. Strongly encourage you to look on her channel at the Amsterdam concert - Slow, Love, Slow, or Nemo, or Storm in a Glass. It was a crowdsourced concert with great sound and video. Also the backing band here played with her in the concert - the Marcel Fisser Band who are wonderful.

LADIES, every year Dutch musicians, vocalists of every genre meet to honor their coallegues and sing one of their most popular songs or a song that is important to them. There was an opera singer, a country/folksinger, a you Tube singer, a Rock singer, a very famous latin singer half dutch, half Latin and a Rock Singer and naturally Floor as a unknown "metal chick". There is no competition.
First song of Floor was the "Vilija Lied" from "The Merry Widow" and the others ended almost on the floor.

"Beste Zangers" the 2019 series, brought Floor to the public eye.
The idea of the show is really nice, a group of singers from different genres are invited for a holiday, this one was in Ibiza.
They get to know each other, with picnics and walks on the beach,
in the evening, one is the main guest, the others sing something of special meaning for them.
This evening, it was the TH-cam singer, Emma Heesters turn.
All of the episodes were good, the other singers too!

It is a Dutch TV series, In each serie a number of well-known performers take turns as the central artist in the hot seat that gets honoured by the other artists by singing songs that are of significance to that person. It can be a cover of one of his/her own songs, a song that inspires the artist in the hot seat or something from his/her past. Judging is of no importance, but the artist in the hot seat does get to pick a favourite performance. The show format has since been used in other European countries: Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Belgium, France, Spain, UK, Lithuania, Estonia and Switzerland.
The show takes 7 singers from different genres. Each episode one of them is placed central and the others will sing a song for him/her. They can choose from a list of songs that has a meaning it is her/his song but sometimes singer will do something else. Stories are shared and so enough emotional moments. Because singers are from different genres they can rebuild a song to their musical comfort so by style or even with a translation. The last episode of the season is the fun duet episode where each singer must choose one of the others to sing a duet with. Floor did do 3 duets on that episode, most epic was the Phantom of the opera with Henk Poort who actually did play the Dutch Phantom. Floor is a fan of Henk and asked him for this duet song, Henk did agree on one condition, if Nightwish was in town they would do the duet as well with the band and so last year that happened as well.
Lulu you look absolutely fine and it's also normal for people your age to worry too much about their appearance. You've doubtless heard the phrase a hundred times about beauty being on the inside - sayings like that stick around because they're true. Also it doesn't mean you can't be both - you're lucky in that regard - but maybe the most important thing to learn is that the moment we stop worrying too much about our appearance is when we can relax and become more confident in our true selves and that's what's we find most attractive in other human beings (except serial killers!).

This happen in the fall of 2019, and it was very thrilling and exciting. Their were 7 weeks, and one song per week. Every Saturday night their was a new song on TH-cam, from Floor. And the intensity was high waiting for it to come out. But all her songs are unbelievable.
The first one just blew me away ( Villja Lied ) not sure about that spelling. But the way she sing that was, well you will understand when you listen to it.
It was recorded in April of 2019 just as the Spring Storms were hitting Ibiza. The Phantom Of The Opera and the rainstorm literally brought the house down!

For me, i was Floored 😂 because of her version of the song Winner in this show. II have a son who is also a Winner. When Floor sang “Now raise you’r hands” i lost it… stil do, every time i hear her singing this song.

Yes Emma was in the hotseat and Floor was selected to sing to her. On this show you can sing to the person on the hotseat a song they wrote, a song from and artist they love or in the case of Henk Poort a song his mother use to sing to him as a boy. Because Floor is singing to Emma twice she sung tell me something girl. On the original one of those verses is tell me something boy. On this show you get to see Floor sing in Dutch, English, German and Spanish.

Beste Zangers is a show where a small number of singers actually sing in dedication to the other singers directly. Floor was dedicating this song to the lady in red. They all take rounds, and there is an episode where Floor gets a song dedicated from everyone else.

This is such a cool show concept, ive watched the whole thing a few times i suggest even if we dont reactions to all of it you owe it to yourselves to watch it.
You 3 did a great job with this video, and to see more before and after the song to know more about it. All are singers and in every episode 1 of them is getting from the others or their own songs or songs that are special to them sang by the others. The year 2019 from Beste Zangers was the best season in my eyes

The set up of this Dutch show is is to put 7 singers on an island (Ibiza this time?), and each singer is the star of the show for one evening. The other singers all sing one song that has a special meaning for the star of that evening. There are no judges, just other singers that appreciate the songs. From what I can tell Beste Zangers seems to be some sort of singing competition show where one day is dedication to one of the contestants. The rest of the singers either do songs that the singer does, or songs that mean a lot to the singer. The woman in the red dress is a TH-cam cover singer. Shallow is one song she covered, so Floor picked that song. She also does a duet for shallow with one of the guys (Tim I think).
She also breaks him (in a good way) with his song Winner. I enjoy the show. Her and Henk doing Phantom of the Opera is pretty Epic too.

Beste Zangers is originally a Dutch TV show (2009 -->) and the format has been broadcast over the years under various names in a number of European countries and also outside Europe. The content of the program is roughly the same in every country. As you said, singers representing different generations and different genres: rock, pop, opera, etc. talk about their lives and careers and sing songs to each other. The last day is usually a duet day.
In the original Dutch version the singers were being asked at the end to tell who they liked best or who was most touching, and that easily gives the impression that Beste Zangers is a competition. Anyway, I don't know if there has been a rating of the best performance in any other countries' versions. At least it has never been done here in Finland (started here in 2012). It's just talking, singing and having fun with each other.

the older guy, Henk, was the Dutch Phantom singer for years, Floor said something like "watching that, hearing him, inspired her to sing".

Beste Zangers is a show that has all singers on and they have one of the singers as the "guest" each week and the others sing songs what belong to the other singers or sings songs that have meaning for the "guest". I suggest the other songs that Floor did, they were all amazing.

Its from the same show its a song written by the guy with the curly hair you will know who when you see cause camera is alot on him for reaction. he wrote the song for his brother who is handicapped and never complains about anything and always is positive about everything.
Yes, she could sing allmost anything, and she DID... opera, country style, folk style, pop... i still remember when this series aired (one part each week, i think it was on Thursdays??, well i had no Dutch TV access but during the evening, people were posting the episodes resp. excerpts with Floor... and the first reactions started to pop up... damn that was nice. Autumn 2019, when most things appeared to run well...

In The Netherlands foreign series and films are always subtitled. We are used to that and you learn something from other languages.
In some other European countries the speech is in their own language so they hardly hear another language.

The show is called Beste Zangers (Best singers). The other people are all singers/songwriters and the format of the show is that each week one person sits in the chair next to the host, and all of the other singers sing a song that is important to the person they are singing to.
In this case the girl in red who Floor is singing to is Emma Heesters. Emma doesn't have any songs she has written herself, she is famous on her TH-cam channel for singing covers, and that is why Floor sang a cover of this song which Emma is famous for singing.
In most other episodes where Floor is singing to the other people, she usually sings a song the person she is singing to wrote

The tv show "Beste Zangers" (Best Singers), is basically like this. You bring a group of singers/songwriters together, and let them in every episode honor one of them by singin' a song from, or a song that particular artist likes or has fond memories of. In this episode Floor sang for the young lady in the red dress by the name of Emma Heesters, who is a Dutch TH-camr and promising new singer. That's basically what this show is all about, it's not about competition or who's the best (shows like; Got Talent, or Idol are). This show is all about comradeship between fellow artists and the joy of making music together.

Yes, all 8 of them are singers, but not all of them are songwriters. Jan Smit has retired (or semi-retired?) in favor of running Beste Zangers. This particular season of the show was recorded in the Spring of 2019 in Ibiza, Spain but it is a Dutch production. Everybody here is Dutch, even the guy who splits his time between the United States and the Netherlands.
On the show, 7 of the people are there to perform and Jan is the show frontman. On different days/ nights, each performer takes a turn sitting in the center couch with Jan. Each day/ night, 6 of the singers will perform songs that the one on the couch has done or songs that are personal to that one person somehow. The show takes place in 7 days/ nights. The last day/ night is full of Duets.
Emma was the only TH-camr on the show that season (I think she may have been the first TH-camr they had on the show up to that point; this was the Twelfth season of the show...) In Emma's 'episode', her night of being on the couch with Jan, Floor covered 'Shallow' because at the time that was the cover that got the most views on Emma's YT channel. She had THE BIGGEST Music Channel from The Netherlands that year (and I hope that sort of success stays with her, she totally deserves the accolades, she's amazing)! As far as I know, Emma is not a writer but she truly has a Golden Voice!
Henk Poort was 63 here (he's now 68) and he was Andrew Lloyd Webber's favorite Phantom for the Stage Play, Phantom Of the Opera (Henk is a Baritone and a GREAT actor). That's how Floor knew him; his performance as The Phantom got Floor interested in being on stage when she was something like 12 years old; she got to meet and work with one of her Musical heroes here. Henk does not write but if you watch every video from the Beste Zangers 2019 season, you get to hear him cover some songs in Mind-Bending ways! He has been singing on stage since he joined his Mother in operas at the age of Sixteen. For this season of Beste Zangers, Henk being the oldest performer, he sat on the center couch the first day/ night and the other 6 sang songs to him that surround his AMAZING career.
Floor opened the show because she was The Dark Horse; most people there had NO IDEA who she was because Metal is just not a big thing in The Netherlands (they LOVE their Pop Music). Going first, Floor sang a song that Henk's Mother sang a lot called 'Vilja Lied' (it's a German song and Floor sang it in German, though she barely speaks any German and she NORMALLY sings in English). By opening the show like this, Floor set the bar REALLY HIGH for that whole season! She absolutely SHOCKED everybody because most Dutch people look down on Metal like it's filthy, 'The Devil's Music' or whatever; nobody really pays attention to Metal to know if it is actually GOOD or not. Nobody realized how good Metal Singers can be; nobody cared UNTIL Floor came along and SHOCKED the entire country with her opener. After Floor's performance, Henk said something like 'Good Music Is Good Music'. Basically he looked at the difference in Genre a little more closely, noticing more things. There are real similarities between Opera music and Metal. Floor is literally more famous OUTSIDE of her own country than she is inside of it specifically because she is a Metal singer, a real travesty. That turned out WONDERFULLY for everybody, though!

Samantha Steenwijk is a Singer/ Songwriter and Pop Icon in The Netherlands.
Tim Akkerman, Singer/ Songwriter, Rocker.
Rolf Sanchez, Singer (not clear if he actually counts as a Songwriter but he's good). Spanish music of all kinds; Salsa/ Merengue/ Reggaeton. Really big in South America.
Emma Heesters. TH-cam, The Netherlands. Since this show, she has been working with other prodsucers so NOW she actually does have some professional Music Videos! Her career really took off after this show happened! The last episode, she did a great Duet with Henk, 'Vivo Per Lei'.
Ruben Annink, the youngest person on the show that year. He does something like the Country/ Folk genre and he is a Producer. He's awesome and he was REALLY NERVOUS on the show, considering who he was surrounded by! Recognizing Emma's sheer potential of talent, he helped her get in contact with other Producers.
And keep in mind all of the other seasons of the show, with other performers. The only consistent person here is Jan.
One addition: Floor DID learn some German a couple of years later to perform in the German version of this show.

If you haven't seen Floor and Henke Poort from the same show do Phantom of the Opera - watch it. It will leave your chin on your chest.
