      Indeed, it is the truth. I breathe life with less stuff.

    I’ve been on this journey for some time…..years of buying and buying….and years of getting rid of it….and I’m 66 years old …I do not want my two daughters to have the huge task of cleaning up the mess I created all these years…..every time I donate 1 or more boxes it is like a huge rock is lifted off my chest….it is so liberating…..cluttered house……cluttered mind…..the funny thing is there is NOT ONE THING I HAVE MISSED OR NEEDED

      I totally know the feeling. It is so freeing. And I think that is beautiful that you are aware of not wanting to give all the clutter to your daughters!

      You are very considerate to do this. I wish my mom & my in-laws had done this. My brother-in-law STILL has a full garage of his parents "stuff". He's been holding on to it for 10 years since my mother-in-law went in a nursing home. I just know a van load of "stuff" will hit my doorstep one day. Everyone is overwhelmed these days. Gosh! I don't need more "stuff" to deal with.😞♥️🇨🇦

      @@amandazplace5663 ….Same here…nursing home situation…..I now have one empty attic….90% of my basement is emptied out..I am down to only what I use….IT S LIBERATING…All the time wasted just re-arranging the stuff….was crazy….Its funny how little we need to actually get thru this life….Warn your brother -in -law NOW…..you will NOT accept THE STUFF….like I stated in my first post….I have not missed or even needed one single thing……Good Luck🌹🌷🌹

    Allow me to make another comment…..Your videos themselves are very calming….no screaming..”HEY GUYS”…..when someone begins their video yelling hey guys…I am immediately turned off….please don’t tell me to live a simple calm life while screaming at me….its an oxy moron…..your voice is soothing ….calm……Keep doing what your doing🦋🦋🦋

    We moved into a 1940s farmhouse on 11 acres in 2017. We currently have no children. I wanted to do a huge remodel and add 2 on suite bed/baths + a huge master suite and office. I am currently rethinking that plan and trying to be happy with smaller. I know if we are blessed with children they will eventually be gone and we will not need that big house any longer. I have also purged and decluttered A LOT. I do not miss any of it.

    I agreed. I sold a lot or donated them. My life is in the 10 x 15 storage of 7 furniture, kitchen stuff, appliances, camping stuff, cleaning products in one caddy, and personal care. God bless you to teach others to simplify life. The less, the more. Free of stress. ❤

    Growing up in a two-story house our house was always absolutely spotless my mother had eight children three girls and five boys everything was always immaculate she taught us right when you're done with something put it away when you're done drinking out of a glass rinse it out and put it away that was our way of living and it was wonderful I'm so glad I had a mother that could teach me the right way and not there is no reason to have a dirty messy house people blame it on kids or husbands that's bull all I know is get off your butt get things done and if you put things away as they go you won't have a mess ever so hang in there and be a good parent teacher kids the right way most of all teach them about God and let them be good people❤

    Thank you i needed to hear this as i have been overwhelmed for far to long. I just desperately wanna throw everything away. Ita taking far to long to become minimalist but i to have had a shopping problem in the past. But not so much now as i am tired of the stress that comes with all the stuff i have to maintain.

    Our house isn't huge and a family of 6 living here. But, I'd like to go to a smaller house and it's even less space to keep tidy.

    I would love a video on things you recommend to buy that a baby needs and things that you definitely don’t need! Expecting my first little baby in 2 weeks and would love to hear your thoughts on all of the stuff they market now a days!

      Congratulations on your sweet baby! I wish you a beautiful and safe labor for you and baby!
      Absolutely. There are so many things for us to buy for our babies, but I truly have found that I don't need much for a happy baby if I am honest. ;) I will add this to my video ideas.

      I was poor as a young single mother and really didn't have much, we had more than we needed with a crib, stroller, bath, clothing and diapers. Your baby just needs your love and care. If you aren't breastfeeding you will need formula, even if you are breastfeeding get some just in case. Congratulations

    Thanks for the tips! Do you have a tour? I’d love to see in your refrigerator and see how you keep it clear and how often you shop.

      I can definitely do a kitchen video. :) I more so meant we keep the outside of the fridge clear with no magnets or anything on it.

    Hey! New to your channel and was wondering if you could share about your kids wardrobes- how much they own, do you save stuff to pass down, do you buy ahead of time, etc? I also have 4 kiddos!

    What if you are living with parents in law, even after being married with two young children, because of personal circumstances, and all the clutter belongs to other people and you don't have control over it. And the clutter stresses you out and makes you feel like you are being buried by it? What then?

    • @lightandmind77
      @lightandmind77  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      I can imagine that would be very difficult. My only advice would be to keep the area you are staying in or bedroom very minimal and keep that simplified so you have a peaceful spot. I am sorry. I hope this helps. 🤍

    How do you deal with older family members that want to shower your kids with gifts?

    • @lightandmind77
      @lightandmind77  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We tend to just set boundaries and explain to family what the kids actually want/need and will actually use. We have had a positive response with this and it has worked well. I think open communication is key. :)

      I tell them to just send us cash so we can use it to go out to eat, movies, or another treat.
