This was a great list. The “just in case” vs “just when” comparison was sooo good. I never thought of it that way, but I will definitely ask that to myself next time!

I love what you are bringing up here. A lot of people don't think about things like receipts. I have an app that gives me moneyfor receipts that I take pictures of, and then I shred them. I do it right away.
I have been holding on to my pre pregnancy clothing, but I also didn't have a lot anyway. I have a small bag of clothes so that I don't have to spend more money. I went from a size 4 after my first two children were born to a size 10 post partum with the third, and I am now a size 8...my size is changing a lot over time and I am hoping I can at least get back to a size 6, but maybe that won't happen. My extra small tops don't fit so I have to wear mediums, but I know that I work out a lot and eat healthy, so I do keep them. Perhaps this is wrong of me as a minimalist, but I never hold on to things. I was always the same size since middle school even after my first kids, and know that I can do that again, as odd as that sounds. I was the same size for 38 years out of my 40 other than when pregnant and after each kid until a point. This is the longest postpartum journey I have had.
I like what you said though about "fantasy self" items. I have zero seasonal items and it shocks my mom who knows I always loved to decorate for autumn and Christmas. . .but it is so easy to simplify completely for me. I have learned to instead, just make things from nature and bring that in and just buy candles and that's it.
The car bit. you stated just now resonated so much, that I am going out to my car now to declutter it. It used to be spotless until after I had this last baby.
Sorry I write so much but I always comment as I listen to you tak and watch your videos. :) Have a happy weekend.

Nothing is wrong as a minimalist! There is no right way! I was more so talking about if it does not add value to hold on to these clothes then it might be clutter. But, everyone's clutter will be different. Everyone is so different and it all depends on what works for you! 🤍
I love your long comments and reading your thoughts! :)

This was a great video! You did a great job!! My husband and I actually minimized a lot today!! We cleaned our garage, and our office, I also ended up clearing out my food cabinet that had some expired items, or things we don't like. You are definitely right about it getting easier each time too, after minimizing and deciding to let it go, it's such a relieving feeling that is so much better than the stress if managing that item. My clothes are the hardest for me to minimize, maternity clothes.. just in case haha, but it's definitely getting easier, I want a capsule wardrobe of only clothes I love so bad, one day I'll get there! I'm also minimizing holiday decor so much too, I don't really ever buy holiday dexor anymore, I get it as gifts, but I like to use flowers, or pumpkins, Christmas tree, stockings, and really that's enough for me. ❤ Thanks for the inspiration!

Guys to the baby clothes; unless it's super sentimental or handmade from premium materials, just let it go.
When our LO was born (first grandkid from both parts), I went through giant chests full of baby clothes and half of them were damaged beyond use, half of them were a style that nobody wears now but used to be the most convenient back then (such as beautiful shirt/nightgowns that had a string to tie in the back), lots of the stuff was either very retro colour themes, faded out, and a huge amount was pure white as that was practical
The same might apply about things we consider great now, perhaps sleepsacks or footed onesies won't be the bang in the future, perhaps people will hate on neutral colours or whatever it is that we hoarded.
If you truly love them, keep a few special pieces, but pass on as much as you can.
As to toys and books - my parents kept our favourites (including battery-operated plastic toys) and goodness, the favourites were favourites for a reason. Same goes for board books, truly in this area, if you have guests often and hope to have grandkids, I think they made less than 5% of misses.

Do you not keep seasonal easter decor?

No, not really. If I want to add some spring touches, we will do flowers. We have our Crucifix that is up all year and that serves for Easter too. :)
