We have the those sconce lamps too! FYI you can take off the long piece that hangs down, and then replace the little finial. We were tickled by that (our lamps are a little lower, so the long pieces got in the way)

😂 you made me laugh ! me too I’m all about cotton.. my husband was getting annoyed with me when he would ask do you like this? I would ask is it 100% cotton? 😂 he got over it and got the kids cotton shirts and pants 😊😅 we have to bear with one another in love and be patient with our differences:) but I don’t like polyester plastic clothes unless it’s a winter jacket ..

When I see myself wanting this and that the verse comes to my mind of Colossians 3:2 Set your mind on things above and not on the things of this earth . It’s a refreshing reminder that the things above is the treasure and everything in this world will be done away with one day 😊

Matthew 1:21 You shall call His name Jesus because He will SAVE His people from their sins. ( not continue in sin) Ephesians 5:18 Don’t be drunk with wine but keep being filled with holy Spirit. ( we need to be filled with the Holy Spirit daily to be able to live as Jesus lived, without Him we can do nothing) Romans 8:13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live. ( by the Spirit’s power, not in our own strength) He gives grace ( power ) to the humble and resists the proud. If we seek to obey Him and stay humble He will help us to live worthy of our calling 😊 1 John 2:6 Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did. The gate and the road to life is narrow and few who find it.. may we seek to live like Jesus He is faithful to help us and finish the work He started in us. 😊

Gods will is going to be done on earth eventually, Jesus told us to pray for it. He taught us to pray for his kingdom (or government) to come. Daniel 2:44 tells us that this government will put an end to all earthly governments and stand forever. "“In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever." But his model pray also included the earth. He told us to pray not only for his kingdom to come, but to pray for the outcome - his will being done on earth as it is in heaven. This earth will not always be full of sin and godlessness. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 is in fulfilment as we speak. We see these traits in people more than ever. The passage tells us that this will be in the last days. The last days of this sinful society. Then Gods kingdom will come, and his will is going to be done on earth. Jesus said at Matthew 5:5 that "the meek will inherit the earth"

It’s so true. In 2015, I let go of nearly everything. I either donated or sold about 95% f what I had, moved to Vermont with only what I could fit in my VW bug. I spent almost five years there, getting closer to God. I moved south in April of 2020. I am single, and don’t have family, but I do have two cats and hobbies. It is with my hobbies and books that are the areas I currently struggle in. I am a work in progress, but I want to say that is that it can be easy to go too fast in decluttering. There were some things that I later wish I had kept. So be sure to pace yourself, and maybe give yourself some time to deeply ponder and go to God on things that you are unsure about letting go. I prefer this kind of content, which isn't just on minimalism, but not just on chatter either, but of both. I prefer lately the vlogs of authentic Christian moms on homemaking and minimalism. Like Stephany with the Hopwell Heights channel, she's a Catholic mom too.
