Thank you! I also react and I have to pray for God’s help and remind myself to stop and think. Not to automatically react! I have regrets when I have reacted in the past. Only with God’s help can I do this.

What a beautiful and timely reminder Katie! Thank you so much for the encouragement ❤ I really need to hear this! I'm in the thick of motherhood right now (mom of 4 too, but my youngest are a set of twins).

Yeah, I also don't like those sayings because really. . .as a servant of Christ and mom, I am not someone who comes first at all, so it is weird to think that I have to be happy in order for the rest of the family to be so, as it doesn't work that way at all for me.
I am NOT good at thinking before I react (I don't say bad things, but I definitely need to just be quieter - haha). However, it amazes me how my children will tell me about some of their friends' lives and how they are thankful for having me as a mother, and it really touches my heart. One thing, you said video games. My oldest is nearly 18 and wants to play a certain violent game and goes on and on and on about how it isn't that violent and how it won't cause him to be violent and how it would be a nice game to play with his friends. He doesn't want to listen to me no matter my kind voice or my reasoning to him. :: sigh :: I just tell him he can play what he wants to when he is on his own at the end but that he should trust my judgment because I care and love his soul and what he allows himself to see.
Again, another lovely video and talk.

Exactly! Perfectly said regarding those sayings! The video games are intense now and it's insane how violent they have gotten. I completely agree with you.

Weirdly, this was one of the reasons WHY I stopped playing Runescape. It's a fairly family friendly game.... but still, it feels weird telling my 9yo not to play a shooting game BUT then I'm sort of doing a stabbing with a sword game. Idk. Just felt odd.
