Yeah the Knightmare scene and the Martian Manhunter meeting Bruce scenes felt unnecessary but I bet Snyder added them in because he knew AT&T wouldnt bring him back to make more films so he decided to give the fans all the things he wouldve added given the chance. Mad respect to Snyder.

They legit cut out or reduced the screen time for EVERY SINGLE ACTOR OF COLOR. That’s not something that I can ignore or chalk up to coincidence. Every woman was reduced to a sex joke in the Whedon cut. Every woman was respected and put in that WORK in the Snyder Cut. This isn’t just a Whedon issue. It’s the studio as a whole, with their antiquated ideas of what sells and what people want.
Eh Cyborg is the only character I don't get reducing everybody else I kind of get. For instance while a cool scene Flash saving Iris added nothing to the film and neither did Martian Manhunter. Also acting like every women got their due in the Snyder Cut when all Lois did was mope around about Superman
@@mikemorro140 The Iris scene is to show Flash being heroic before joining the team and it shows Flash trying to get a job. It's part of his character. Cyborg had his scene with helping that single mother, Aquaman saving someone on a boat, WW saving people from terrorists, and Flash saving Iris. It's just a set up for these characters Lois lost someone she loves. It's not just "moping around". And by the end, she stoped "moping" and going back to work.

Like the set up for Aquaman as a a character was more him talking to Vulko about his mom and Atlantis than him just saving that dude. Lois is basically just moping around the whole time like and she only evens stops cause of Martian Manhunter and we never actually see her go back to work as Superman shows up just as she might be getting over it.

@@mikemorro140 1. Like I said. One of the points is to show them being heroes before teaming up. Aquaman didn't save that man because of Volko, but because that is who he is. 2. All of it is to set up characters for future installments. Which I don't like, but it has purpose. 3. Lois isn't "mopping around". She lost a love one. And yes, she was going to start working and try to overcome her sadness instead of doing nothing. It isn't complicated. The acting, dialogue and expressions tells you enough to put the pieces together. Also, of course she can't do anything important besides helping Superman. They aren't against a corrupt human like Luther this time, but an alien she knows nothing about. I do agree that some of it should of been executed better or change somewhat, but it wasn't without purpose.
Regarding the pregnancy thing, in the Whedon’s 2017 cut it says that it has been over 2 years since Superman died and the world has decended into chaos with parademons everywhere. But in the Snyder Cut it is supposed to only have passed 1 month or so, I guess Snyder said that in a comment too and it is also the reason why countries are still in mourning and his monument is still trashed and guarded by the police. So baby is Clark’s not Bruce’s. I guess in Snyder’s plans the baby must be named after Bruce, but he has no Kryptonian powers, and in the end he will take over the Batman personality once Bruce Wayne dies.
Yeah man, and I liked it, but by the time we heard it for the 20th time, it got annoying as hell. It was also pretty intrusive, like everything had to stop for a few seconds so the whole thing played out.
Swanwick is the only character who doesn't show ANY fear of Clark in MoS. MM is a powerful telepath as well as a Shapeshifter. Dudes made a life for himself hiding Amongst the human same as he did on Supergirl never heard any complaints about him there. I loved the Snyder Cut. They did Cyborg and Flash do dirty in the original. Flash goes from saving Everything to BrUnCh And they butchered Victor's storyline
victors storyline is weak. much better than the theatrical cut, but all in all very generic story. flash is still annoying like in the theatrical, just without the brunch line. but at least he did save the day in this rather than a random family

This 4 hour version of Justice League has villians in a family drama situration. Steppenwolf owes his nephew, Darksied 50,000 worlds for attempt military coup against Apocolips. This makes him sympathic, desperate and extremely vicious antagonist.
When Dasaad said he owes 50,000 worlds i was like God Damn 🤣😂 if i was steppenwolf i would get the boxes find another world and terraform it into my own world and chill there just like Thanos did.
Makes me wish that Jessie Eisenberg was actually revealed as Gordon Godfrey and was an agent for apokolips on Earth. Being instrumental in killing superman and sowing the seeds of random chaos for Darksied or Steppenwolf. He would have fit that character more.

@@legacysquid0625 Nah, he’s right. The slo-mo scenes are INCREDIBLY unnecessary. It’s fine for some of the Flash scenes, but not for almost every action scene. Out of this 4 hour movie, the slo mo took like half and hour. Remove most of those, shorten some scene and take out some of the dumb scenes like the epilogue and shit with Martian Manhunter, and you could have a decent 2 hour and 40 minute movie or at least a 3 hour one.
It's funny that Zack didn't use any slow motion in MoS and barely any in BvS. In this he used a lot more. It's like Zack gets more praised in movies with more slow motion like this, 300 and Watchman, and less praised in movies that he doesn't.

Darkseid is totally the God of Evil. Orm from Aquaman is the closest villain we have seen that represents tyranny. In DC comics, it would be Sinestro that shows that. Darkseid represents everything that Superman does not, and has the power levels to overwhelm him totally in a solo fight. It is implicit in the fact that Darkseid is so straight up evil, that he terraforms Gotham, so Joker joins the fight, and this is something that is a running theme with his appearances, that the worst villains in DC will help the heroes defend Earth when Darkseid moves to invasion.@@BaithNa

I really enjoyed the film but one thing that no one talking about is Mera’s accent. She suddenly had an “English” accent compared to the theatrical cut and later on the Aquaman film.
I don't get the hate for Batman v Superman, ultimate version was awesome. The Snyder cut was amazing, all it needed was Hal Jordan or John Stewart. I cant believe Snyder shot the scene originally with John Stewart but WB forced him to remove it. Smh

You can leave all the Martian Manhunter scenes because they were short..... get rid of that flash job interview scene, that wonder women bank robbery intro, technically you can get rid of Steppenwolf taking the motherbox from Atlantis (especially considering the events in the Aquaman movie happened after this movie) the singing girls can go, and while I enjoyed the epilogue, Jared Leto is the WORST Joker to date. He ruined what was looking like an exciting premise
I absolutely enjoyed the movie. I could’ve done without a few odd music choices (when did Wonder Woman bring a choir to every mission? Does Aquaman need a choir to sing as he swims away?), and toned down the slow mo (but that’s Snyder for you, ah well), but overall even with a 4-hr runtime, this was Snyder’s best and most cohesive entry to the DCEU. We got a sense of story and character, which I felt was missing from BvS, and it had the perfect mix of a dark & light tone, in comparison to the almost solemn MoS (which I legitmately enjoy) & BvS (which I still think is heavily flawed, even with the Ultimate Cut). Slow motion aside, I thought the run-time was used effectively to show the importance of the mother boxes, Steppenwolf & Darkseid, and most importantly spend some time with the Justice League both individually and as a team. Was the epilogue necessary? No, but given that Snyder, at this point, is no longer a part of any DC project moving forward, I can understand just wanting to throw them in there. The whole point of The Snyder Cut (creatively), was to showcase everything that he would've wanted to do with these versions of the characters. If he doesn't get to revisit them, at least he got to tell his side of the story. If he does get the chance, then hey: a little set-up! At least these scenes were at the end (hence, epilogue), almost like a post-credit; they were just before them haha. Not a perfect masterpiece, but definitely a massive step up, that was fun & engaging, worthy of the JL. As a DC fan, is *this* the version of the characters I would've liked to have seen on-screen? Not necessarily, but as a whole, I'm still intrigued enough to see how these versions are developed in a story. This definitely had the scope to rival, at the most, the first Avengers movie. I Liked it very much!

NOT ONCE did this movie reference the time Superman has been dead. For all we know this takes place only a few weeks after BVS. The only mention of “a year” is when Cyborg explains his father activated the mother box a year before Superman’s death.
It’s never said how long Superman is dead for in this particular film (as far as I know) so to assume it’s been a year is is a bit premature. Also, Superman could have gotten Lois pregnant AFTER he came back, as when we see them moving back into the house they have been back together for some time. Definitely enough time to get knocked up.
Zack stated today that the Martian manhunter scene at the end with ben Afflek was actually John Stewart Green lantern but the studio asked him to make one concession and change it to martian manhunter. The green lantern screen was shot and finished with Ben Afflek and rumour has it was Idris Alba!
I'm still very confused over the Anti-life Equation: During Wonder Woman's narration, it seems that Darkseid FOUND the equation. Later on, Steppenwolf reports to Darkseid that he's found the equation. Did Darkseid forget where it was?

A love triangle between Batman, Superman, and Lois where Batman takes advantage of a grief-stricken and vulnerable Lois and raw dogs her and doesn't pull out. Fantastic. Snyder's kinetic action scenes are the top of the mountain imo, but the man makes some bizarre and frustrating story choices in every movie.
One big issue was they had 4 high-dollar actors and a 2 hr movie - Afleck - Cavill - Addams - Gadot - and one young actor to squeeze in too. Add in overlong battle scenes the studio demanded and there were going to be cuts. Synder HIMSELF could NEVER have gotten this cutdown to theater length (Per WB) . Maybe he could have cut it into TWO movies filmed same time ala LOTR but it would have been the same deal if he tried to keep it at 2hrs. And I doubt it made enough $$$ on HBO to pay for the busy actors and director to make a sequel profitable - It IS show BUSINESS.
I think if we had this Justice League released in theatres back in 2017, if tragedy hadn't struck Zack's family, almost half hour had been cut out of it, he could've easily made it under 3 hours but bc he was told that hey we are not making any promoses and we are only doing this bc of our streaming service and we need subscribers, this was his one and only chance and he just cramped everything he could in it This movie only needs to be 3 hours and Zack wouldn't have to compromise anything and the other stuff are just bonus like we get in Bluray release

Should have shortened that epilogue here's how...joker starts a fist fight with Batman for no reason (he knows Superman will show up) being an agent of chaos. Then Batman and joker get some distance from each other. Joker then walks towards the sun in the distance (the camera does a slow zoom in on his face looking over his shoulder) he then gives his trademark laugh as Superman's shadow hangs over them. The joker's laugh hanging into the credit sequence.
You can tell ben Ben Affleck did not want to do that reshoot with MMH at the end. I believe thats post Jack-In-The-Box Ben (lol) because he looks way better with his health. Plus, no muscle. Also, you can tell he just did NOT give a fuck to be there. Haha.

This film could easily have been 3 hours if they had trimmed down the overused slow motion shots. They added nothing to the actual narrative and bloated an otherwise really good movie. Those endings really belonged post-credit too. Also, I actually prefer Superman in the 2017 version becasue he actually felt like Superman, and not the dour and unrecognisable background character Snyder has made him out to be.
They should have that picture of Steppenwolf on every loan application so that you think twice before signing.

They legit cut out or reduced the screen time for EVERY SINGLE ACTOR OF COLOR. That’s not something that I can ignore or chalk up to coincidence. Every woman was reduced to a sex joke in the Whedon cut. Every woman was respected and put in that WORK in the Snyder Cut. This isn’t just a Whedon issue. It’s the studio as a whole, with their antiquated ideas of what sells and what people want.
Eh Cyborg is the only character I don't get reducing everybody else I kind of get. For instance while a cool scene Flash saving Iris added nothing to the film and neither did Martian Manhunter. Also acting like every women got their due in the Snyder Cut when all Lois did was mope around about Superman

Cyborg had his scene with helping that single mother, Aquaman saving someone on a boat, WW saving people from terrorists, and Flash saving Iris. It's just a set up for these characters

@@mikemorro140 1. Like I said. One of the points is to show them being heroes before teaming up. Aquaman didn't save that man because of Volko, but because that is who he is.
2. All of it is to set up characters for future installments. Which I don't like, but it has purpose.
3. Lois isn't "mopping around". She lost a love one. And yes, she was going to start working and try to overcome her sadness instead of doing nothing. It isn't complicated. The acting, dialogue and expressions tells you enough to put the pieces together. Also, of course she can't do anything important besides helping Superman. They aren't against a corrupt human like Luther this time, but an alien she knows nothing about.
I do agree that some of it should of been executed better or change somewhat, but it wasn't without purpose.
Regarding the pregnancy thing, in the Whedon’s 2017 cut it says that it has been over 2 years since Superman died and the world has decended into chaos with parademons everywhere. But in the Snyder Cut it is supposed to only have passed 1 month or so, I guess Snyder said that in a comment too and it is also the reason why countries are still in mourning and his monument is still trashed and guarded by the police. So baby is Clark’s not Bruce’s. I guess in Snyder’s plans the baby must be named after Bruce, but he has no Kryptonian powers, and in the end he will take over the Batman personality once Bruce Wayne dies.

Out of this 4 hour movie, the slo mo took like half and hour. Remove most of those, shorten some scene and take out some of the dumb scenes like the epilogue and shit with Martian Manhunter, and you could have a decent 2 hour and 40 minute movie or at least a 3 hour one.

I absolutely enjoyed the movie. I could’ve done without a few odd music choices (when did Wonder Woman bring a choir to every mission? Does Aquaman need a choir to sing as he swims away?), and toned down the slow mo (but that’s Snyder for you, ah well), but overall even with a 4-hr runtime, this was Snyder’s best and most cohesive entry to the DCEU. We got a sense of story and character, which I felt was missing from BvS, and it had the perfect mix of a dark & light tone, in comparison to the almost solemn MoS (which I legitmately enjoy) & BvS (which I still think is heavily flawed, even with the Ultimate Cut). Slow motion aside, I thought the run-time was used effectively to show the importance of the mother boxes, Steppenwolf & Darkseid, and most importantly spend some time with the Justice League both individually and as a team. Was the epilogue necessary? No, but given that Snyder, at this point, is no longer a part of any DC project moving forward, I can understand just wanting to throw them in there. The whole point of The Snyder Cut (creatively), was to showcase everything that he would've wanted to do with these versions of the characters. If he doesn't get to revisit them, at least he got to tell his side of the story. If he does get the chance, then hey: a little set-up! At least these scenes were at the end (hence, epilogue), almost like a post-credit; they were just before them haha. Not a perfect masterpiece, but definitely a massive step up, that was fun & engaging, worthy of the JL. As a DC fan, is *this* the version of the characters I would've liked to have seen on-screen? Not necessarily, but as a whole, I'm still intrigued enough to see how these versions are developed in a story. This definitely had the scope to rival, at the most, the first Avengers movie. I Liked it very much!

NOT ONCE did this movie reference the time Superman has been dead. For all we know this takes place only a few weeks after BVS. The only mention of “a year” is when Cyborg explains his father activated the mother box a year before Superman’s death.
It’s never said how long Superman is dead for in this particular film (as far as I know) so to assume it’s been a year is is a bit premature. Also, Superman could have gotten Lois pregnant AFTER he came back, as when we see them moving back into the house they have been back together for some time. Definitely enough time to get knocked up.

I'm still very confused over the Anti-life Equation: During Wonder Woman's narration, it seems that Darkseid FOUND the equation. Later on, Steppenwolf reports to Darkseid that he's found the equation. Did Darkseid forget where it was?
I think the idea is that Darkseid found it but couldn't receive it before the retreat.

One big issue was they had 4 high-dollar actors and a 2 hr movie - Afleck - Cavill - Addams - Gadot - and one young actor to squeeze in too. Add in overlong battle scenes the studio demanded and there were going to be cuts. Synder HIMSELF could NEVER have gotten this cutdown to theater length (Per WB) . Maybe he could have cut it into TWO movies filmed same time ala LOTR but it would have been the same deal if he tried to keep it at 2hrs. And I doubt it made enough $$$ on HBO to pay for the busy actors and director to make a sequel profitable - It IS show BUSINESS.

@@jewsco I think he could've saved alot of time by trimming all the scenes with songs under 1 to 2 minutes each and in the epilogue only the scene with Bruce and Clark needs to be there others can be bonus in Bluray , now that I think about it yeah not 3 hours but good 20 to 25 minutes can be removed it can be at same length as lord of the rings fit the theatrical cut, the whole ceremony of the arrow can be taken we can just cut the scene "man won't but she will" cut to arrow burning on that building which Diana sees in the news scenes like that I'm not saying that they don't need to be there but if I had to cut something out all those scenes Will be in my list

They did not need Martian Man hunter showing up. I didnt see the point having that horrible looking joker in this movie. Jeremy Irons is awesome Alford.

Should have shortened that epilogue here's how...joker starts a fist fight with Batman for no reason (he knows Superman will show up) being an agent of chaos. Then Batman and joker get some distance from each other. Joker then walks towards the sun in the distance (the camera does a slow zoom in on his face looking over his shoulder) he then gives his trademark laugh as Superman's shadow hangs over them. The joker's laugh hanging into the credit sequence.
Should have made them part of the HBOMAX extras

You can tell ben Ben Affleck did not want to do that reshoot with MMH at the end. I believe thats post Jack-In-The-Box Ben (lol) because he looks way better with his health. Plus, no muscle. Also, you can tell he just did NOT give a fuck to be there. Haha.
I thought it was great, there was some things that could have been trimmed down. I look at this like the extended cut, but since this was the only option, I'll take it all!
Favorite movie of 2021, never thought that would happen. I disagree with some of their points, but agree on a few. Frankly though, I never once felt those 4 hours.
The movie is to long? But I bet you guys woulda binge all 9 episodes of Wanda vision and all 6 episodes of falcon and winter soldier. I just don’t ever understand the hypocrisy of movie being to long in comic book world but we’ll binge a 6-10 episode comic book show. Shhhid I binge all of the 1st season of the Boys when it first came out. It just makes you look like hypocrite when people make that statement.

I grew up watching Bollywood movies one movie was even 6 hrs long, so the length didn't bother me at all.

WandaVision and Falcon and Winter Soldier are ‘new’ tv series not a do-over/re-release of something that came out a few yrs back. Along with scenes originally left on the cutting room floor when this was doing its theatrical run.
If you enjoy Snyder League then just enjoy Snyder League.
This film could easily have been 3 hours if they had trimmed down the overused slow motion shots. They added nothing to the actual narrative and bloated an otherwise really good movie. Those endings really belonged post-credit too.
Also, I actually prefer Superman in the 2017 version becasue he actually felt like Superman, and not the dour and unrecognisable background character Snyder has made him out to be.
