- I probably did not quite fully cover this subject.
I fact I know I did not.
When it plagues you it is a pain in the butt to solve.
Sometimes easy and sometimes hard to impossible.
But the happy not is that we can avoid this extremely easily by just doing this.
Print often! Use your amazing printers as they were intended.
DO not ignore because you can not afford to use them
Need I go on?

😭 thank you for this video! I feel like this is the most relevant video out there regarding cleaning print heads even after 5 years! My “new” printer came to me in an ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS condition and absolutely nothing worked until i flushed out the print head according to this video. Literally 3 power cleaning cycles, a LOT of regular cleaning cycles, and 50+ pages of purge/nozzle checks
Thanks for your help, your the man! I had to do the syringe suction thing to my nozzles and i got them to work. My printer was sitting for 2 yrs. I’ll listen to you and run the printer 2x to 3x a week. Thanks again Jose!
Thank you! You saved me from having to buy another printer! And I promise I will use my printer twice a week!
Thank you Juanita! Glad to be of help.
I have to say I was skeptical of this video at the outset because I didn't see a picture of a printer. However, this was the video that saved my printer!!! You are a Godsend, sir! The details and knowledge you shared saved our family a ton of money. And I'm glad I couldn't find tubing small enough to fit over my inkjet ports -- I'm sure I'd have made a total mess and probably done some damage with the whole syringe thing from other videos I'd watched. God bless you -- wish I could buy you a cup of coffee! Thank you so much!!
Once again, Jose, you saved me. I got my p600 working again using the paper towel method.Thank you!!!
I committed the sin pointed out by Jose in this video. I didn't frequently do a print-out on my older Epson 9800. It sit for a year while I was recovering from some health issues. After following several different cleaning procedures on TH-cam, the yellow ink channel still had a stubborn clog with air bubbles in the feed line. I had just about got to the point of trashing the printer, but... I purchased from InkJet Mall the suggested syringe (with extra priming nibs), Piezo Flush and foam cleaning swabs. Using the nibs I sucked out the bubbles forming in the yellow ink line, did the Jose suggested gentle pulsing of the P flush into the head (using the supplied blunt needle), and a few cleaning cycles later.... Waa-Laa! Fully formed nozzle check! Mr. Rodriguez is the Man. Thank you for your great articulation and guidance.
Hello YYoung. I just ordered piezo flush. And I may do the pumping/ syringe vaccum method. Jose mentioned.. I'm confused as to where he's saying we pump the solution in... on the head... where on the head.... Any explanation would be helpful as I trouble shoot. Thanks.
It's been awhile since I've done this procedure, and I had only one yellow ink line not responding, or laying down ink. On the Epson 9800 I seem to remember after opening up and sliding the ink head free, dislodging (pulling) the yellow ink line off, directly where it enters the ink head. You may need some nose pliers.
Jose its phenominal the info you post routinely re Epson printers, you are a peach. Much appreciated.
My pleasure!
I have an Epson WF-7720 and it sat for about two years. I had to run the maintenance print head cleaning cycle about twenty times then it started printing perfectly. I would print a test sheet every five cleaning cycles. Usually I just throw away the printer but a replacement was like $1200.
Jose, loved your video cleaning my Epson xp-810. Followed all of your instructions. When I turned my printer back on the word EPSON appears for about a second on the white background then it disappears, I get a beep or two, and then it reappears for another second, disappears again and the loop continues. I think I may have gotten some windex on some electrical parts. Can I or should I remove the ink cartridges and then dry out the inside of the printer with a blow dryer? Thanks much.
Hey Jose. Thanks so much for the video. Just discovered your channel. This is great. Thanks! Where do we access putting the cleaner into the head and do the sucking/ vacuum effect...- where exactly on the printhead stem? I have a 9890, I have a clog in the photo black. I'm sort of not sure where you guys are talking about.
Hello Jose. This looks like a great new way to try removing printhead clogs. Unfortunately I’ve been dealing with stubborn clogs in my Epson P7000 24” wide format printer's K and LK channels. Would you have any suggestions how I could adapt this push/pull vacuum fix considering the long ink lines and no easy access to a port to attach the syringe. Any thoughts or ideas will be appreciated. Also, on behalf of so many inkjet users, thank you for your willingness to share your knowledge and experiences with us.
Thanks for all these videos. Would it be enough to run a print head check once a week to keep the head clean? Or do you have to exercise it better by doing a full print?
You mean a nozzle check? At a minimum once a week. But the amount of ink used is minimal and would not be as effective as a real image print.
I have an epson wf 7720. I dissassembled the printhead to clean it. I used windex, distilled water and an ultrasonic cleaner to clean it. It still doesnt print all colors. Ive tried flushing it a few times after that but nothing.
Im thinking the seal is not properly sealed to create a proper vaccuum.
Does the gasket/seal need some sort of lubrication to properly seal?
I followed your instructions on how to clean (using cleaning fluid) a Epson 7100 with no result so I ended up ordering a new printer from Epson. After very involved installation over one month before trashing the old printer I that I would try printing from it. I printed a couple of sheets and only got clear cleaner fluid on the sheet. Then the following sheets started getting color printing. Therefore it seem you need to let the printer set for a month or more to completely desolve the ink clogs in the printer head and lines from the cartridges.
Love your videos. you are the easiest person to understand I have come across. Unfortunately the truth hurts, I have a couple of large format printers and just don't use them sometime for a month at a time. I guess I can't expect them to remain in pristine condition for printing. I had better do a test print at least once a week.
Love your videos! I had an extreme clog in the black ink channel of my Epson WF-7720. Nothing worked to clear it. As a last resort, I took the print head apart and cleaned it. The printer showed error code 031008, after reassembly. So, I pulled it apart again to see if something was put back together incorrectly. Everything looks fine, but I'm still getting this error. Is the printer done for? Would buying a new printhead fix it or would it just be a waste of money? Is there something else that I can do?
Certainly sounds like it. You should NEVER take apart a print head.
@@cheo1949 Thanks for the reply. I had watched another person's video where they recommended taking it apart and sonicating it, as a last resort. Another one is on it's way from ebay. :)
10:23 I wish you did. I have found videos on removing a squillion screws and removing panels to remove the printhead. So far, none on just accessing the bit I want.
Proper way to free the carriage manually when off is to push it to the right edge and spin the cog on the far left counterclockwise to release the lock, then it's free.
Getting Maintenance Code 4000 on a 9900 that was given to me. Not getting anything on test prints, not one speck. They told me they had cleaned the head before giving it to me. Curious if they may have done something wrong and if I could fix. Figured I woukd ask before tearing it apart.
Thanks for taking the time to put this video together. This is certainly something I will put to good use. Have you tried matte or fine art paper note cards on the Pro 1? I ask because of the issues with margins and matte black inks that so many people have pointed out in their reviews of this printer. It seems to be a printer that evokes strong reactions both positive and negative.
I have not. At one time I did a video where I printed a Glossy Greeting card on stock from Red River.
I have not had a single problem with it. Believe me. Most negative comments about this printer are eventually traced to user error. Two thick a paper will of course cause head strikes but there are adjustment the user has obviously not set up properly or simply just ignored. So yes then you get black smudges. Nothing to do with Matte Black Ink.
Buenas noches Sr: Jose .

You are a wealth of knowledge thank you for this channel.
I recently acquired a wf7620 that had been sitting for months with out ink . I tried to clean the print head with just about everything, the color started working but not the black so I replaced the print head . I am wanting to use this printer for sublimation. I have done several cleanings on the new head and have all my colors but if I print a purge file my black has white lines in it and when I print a picture it has lines through it as well. If I run a purge file on another printer it is a solid wide black line . I can figure out why I have a perfect test page and a terrible print quality where do I go from here any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏
Jose, thank you for the informative videos. I have a bad clog in one channel in my Epson p800. Nothing worked so far. I' m convinced it's a clog in the ink line. Is it possible to flush it like I did with the Epson p600? Please help.
I suppose it is. But as you probably learned it takes a lot of time and patience.
@@cheo1949
Jose, thank you kindly for your reply, but the problem I have is I would like to irrigate the light cyan channel directly with a syringe and cleaning fluid like you suggest, but this is on the Epson SC p800 and there is no stem to attach the syringe to like with the Epson SC p600.
Is there some way to irrigate it since I have tried everything else for several days.
Thank you for all your advice and and great videos.
Hi Jose. Very informative and good video. Here's my situation. Hope you can shed your light on it. I bought a new Epson R2880 a loooong time ago. I hardly used it and I think I stored it for over 6 years... Now I am trying to bring it back to life. I cleaned the nozzles with Windex + alcohol (placed tubes over the nozzles, filled it up with the cleaning liquid and let it stand there for over 24 hours). Now all nozzles are working perfectly again, except yellow. I tried your suggestion of injecting the cleaner liquid with a syringe and slowly suck the clog out. Unfortunately it's still not letting ink through. Is there anything else I can try? Because I didn't want to invest in OEM Epson ink to try and see if the nozzles worked, I got myself some cheap ink cartridges. Somehow many of them weren't recognised and when the printer did recognise all of them, one or two stopped working again after cleaning the head. Once I had them all working again, another (pair) stopped working. Do you know if this is normal behaviour with cheap(er) knock-offs? Or does this indicate a serious issue with my printer? After the whole first batch of cartridges were replaced with new ones, they all worked. But after a head cleaning job two of them stopped again. I know I should try and buy original Epson cartridges, but if the printer head is broken, I am throwing away quite a lot of money on an old printer. Thanks in advance and keep up the great work! Saludos de Holanda.
Completely unreliable chips! Do not use alcohol. It does not dissolve ink. Only use the WINDEX and TAKE YOUR TIME. You did not use it for 6 years!!!! It's going to take some time.
Jose Rodriguez thanks for taking the time to read my (looooong) message! I will take the time to bring the printer back to life. And take better care of it once it works again.
@@cheo1949 I couldn't get the yellow nozzle to unclog. Ordered original Epson cartridges and used a syringe to flush the yellow with amonnia (which I read somewhere else). Now the cartridge errors are gone, but my R2880 is printing blank pages... Guess I should have stuck to Windex and I ruined it with the ammonia? :-(
Have an Epson stylus R2880 in around 2008/09 but it has not been used since about 2010/11 (now Feb 2021) so about 10 years
I'm now in the process of unclogging the heads some have come up really quick with just a head clean, other are more drastic. used it a lot to start but then had a personal problems so all stopped
I just contacted you on a different video. You have been such a great source of information. Thank you! I will try to clean mine Saturday.
Good luck Thank you!
What you mean by topping them off iam an hp user 8600 and trying cleaning my printhead with windex
Thanks for this. What do you recommend as the best refill inks for an Epson Workforce 1100?
Whaaat? A 5 years old boy can travel alone in the Metro? I think this is actually impossible in Italy XD, In italy there's a law (that NO ONE respects for obvious reasons) that says that a boy under 14 years old cannot be left alone even to take a train without parents... In some pages I can see that some companies have some regulations about the fee for everyone that leaves a "less than 11 years old" in a public transport, damn in this country everything is delayed!!
Oh friend you're really so much experienced in printing topic, and I have to say that the first times I was repairing printers and refilling (around year 2013) you really teached me so much, I learned a lot from you, so it's even for you that until today I repaired more than 300 printers! Oh, do you have in mind the part where you said about pulling the power cord to make the printhead free to move by hand? I have a little trick, the professional trick to unlock it without even powering the printer on XD
Anyway, bad news? I really hope that it's not related to you, I hope you are fine :c
Jose Rodriguez 1 second ago
LOL no my friend not totally alone. Just meaning he can do everything himself with not help from us. So printers printheads as you well know can be physically unlocked by locating the little lever that locks it. With the more sophisticated photo printers that lock is deeply hidden and we have to use the power on power off method. The bad news is not about me personally. I just posted the video. It has to do with shipping. Email me!!!
We have then same laws here! But he felt like such a big boy with his own Metro card and using it correctly without ANY help for us!
Thanks for this great video. I'm going to follow your instructions.
thank you but would love to see what you are talking about.
I have an Epson PX700 - there are 6 ink tubes between the cartridge dock and the print head. Can I use the syringe method here ? I just can’t get my light magenta to work. Thank you.
I neglected my CIS WF7710 printer for a year as covid killed my business. After many cleaning cycles, all colors lines were complete except for yellow. I removed the print head after not being able to manually clean inside the printer. I was able to clear the clog with a homemade cleaner but now I’m still getting a few broken lines in each color. I really don’t want to keep doing more cleaning cycles. Will the missing nozzles eventually clean or what should be my next step?
Where do we get the kit for the severe clog? Is there a specific type of hose I can use with a syringe?
A plain tip syringe and a piece of rubber tubing that fits the ink stems on certain EPSON print heads.
The 15th was a Sunday - the 16th a national holiday - hence the 17th becomes the due date for paying your 4th quarter estimate.
Eh what?????
Hello, Jose! I have not been using my Epson SC-P600 for about 3 months. After 4 cleaning cycles all print heads show all the lines, except magenta that shows none. I use standard Epson cartridges, no refills. Do you think it is one of those more sever clogs? or maybe there is some other issue with the cartridge? I even pulled it out, shook it a little, and put it back. After that those magenta dots that were showing, about 15% of them, disapeared completely. Did 3 cycles, not a single magenta dot, and no change. Other colors are all there... Should I try the cleaning pad method at this point? Thank you.
Are you sure your Magenta cart has ink? They only come with 50% and most of it is used to print then printer.
@@cheo1949 Yes, it must have been some kind of malfunction. The next day I ran 3 more cleaning cycles, and it went like this. After the first cycle, 5% of magenta lines were showing, after the second cycle, none were showing, and, miraculously, after the third cycles all of them, 100% appeared! Now, I will be printing at least one picture every day... Thank you!
Wish I had seen this before I GAVE away my beautiful Epson 1400. It was my dream machine - since I could not afford the more expensive which did both wide format and disc printing. I have the Canon pro 100 which I hesitate to even remove from the box. I always use after market ink - refillables with my Epsons. But not sure I can successfully modify the Canon cartridges as you instruct. I don't print often enough now. I do image editing/a little graphic design, card making and such. Most often to give away. But need to see my work printed before I finalize. So sending out won't work for me. Thx for the tips and instruction.
When you decide to set it up just contact me here and I will help you. Have you see my set up video for the PRO-100? Also do not underestimate your skills. I don't think you would have any problem modifying the CLI-42 and once you have done it that is it! I print on my PRO-100 with zero worries about ink costs and the results are great using inks from Precisioncolors!
Thank you so much! I will appreciate your help. I have seen your videos on setting up the Pro-100, and modifying the cartridges. Although I am the one in this house setting up and using devices and electronics, the part that is daunting to me is using the drill without ruining a cartridge. Yes, I too have enjoyed freely printing because of the use of after market ink, and find it essential to any printer I buy. With all my Epsons I have been mostly successful using refillables. I am using the Artisan 837 at the moment. I don't do as much printing as I have done, which is why I hesitate to start using the new Canon. At some point I will again need the wide format. In the meantime, would you think the ink cartridges will lose their usefulness left unopened for so long? I suppose I have had the Canon for as much as a year already....new in box. Thanks again.
The CANON Pro-100 is very forgiving even when not used as often. I also had an Artisan but the 720 which is not a nice as yours. I made many an 8x10 4x6 and DVD and CD printing which is some of the best I've come across. Perfect for disk printing.
Is it bad to buy "3rd party cartridges."?
Thanks for your great information. Can you advise me where to purchase a print head for epson r280. Not sure which sources to trust. Thanks.
Pretty much nowhere. It is ancient and has been out of production for over 15 years and besides it is not user replaceable unless you know how.
Jose Rodriguez FYI there are lots of sources for print heads. I bought one, installed it myself and it works great! “How To” videos are fantastic, aren’t they?
While trying to revive my Epson 7600 and also look for ink carts for my 2200 I stumbled upon this site www.sign-in-china.com . I don't know anything about this site but they have almost every printer related part imaginable (makes sense because most printers are sourced in China). If you're ok with ordering from China then it may be worth looking at although import taxes may be too much.
No estan sellando bien I estan liquiando. Tienes que chequiar los tapones. Dejala predida.
@@cheo1949 gracias José. Do You think that the 3880 is still a good printer nowdays or should I change it?
I have one and love it. Of course if it not working then I would move up. But on it's own it is still a fantastic printer.
@@cheo1949 muy amable. Gracias
@@cheo1949 hi José. Can I run test Pagés on regular letter paper? Gracias
Hola Jose tu hablas español?
Great videos Jose! Thank you!
PLEASE HELP!
I use an Epson r3000 to print my own artwork - only 300+/- prints since 2011.
PROBLEM: About a year ago, after not printing anything for many many months (undoubtedly it’s terribly clogged) I tried to print - got a jam error - could not find a jam.
FF TO TODAY: Watched a video on taking the case off - paper jammed in beside the printhead - printer working again. YAY! ..... Oooops! NO! Printing blank pages - did nozzle check - tried cleaning - couple inks are out - printer won’t clean - ordered more ink (genuine).
PLEASE ADVISE: I’d prefer to clean it and (hopefully) fix it - it looks simple enough. How much risk is there to damaging the printhead if I try cleaning it? Your instructions are very straight forward and I’m a mature adult. I can do it. But, I don’t really need the printer. I rarely use it. I have received an offer for the printhead only ($200). Is that a fair price? Should I cut my losses and just sell the printhead?
Also, I live less than 2 hrs from DC and I understand there’s repair shop near there. Perhaps you’re familiar? Not sure it’s worth hauling it there though, and cost might be prohibitive.
Would appreciate your thoughts! Thank you!
I am afraid it is not cleaning that will solve it. When absolutely nothing prints it is not due to a 100% clog. But a electronic type failure where the printer prints but the print head does not receive the image data.
Jose Rodriguez So the printer is toast? 😭 Is the printhead worth anything? I’ve had an offer for it. And thanks for your quick response!
Gracias 🙏🏼
Se hace con los cartuchos instalado.
Jose Rodriguez muchas gracias. Intentaré de nuevo
Dude did this whole video with his fly open
Jose, could you answer this for me? I want a large scale printer (13x19) to print on 140lb watercolour paper, pretty much only in brown ink (the line art must be waterproof) and the printer would be sitting not used much of the time. I could buy a used epson r2880 (found one used for 250, but how old is it?l and might sell today) or a new Canon Pro 100 ($400 by payment plan)....could you advise what printer I should buy and things I should take into account? The essentials: waterproof ink, large scale that takes heavy art paper and will sit not used, but I could only use brown line art ink. THANK YOU!!
Also, if required, I could commit to printing something every week to keep the printer clog-free...but not every day
Every week is minimum. But remember that CANON Printer will run a Cleaning Cycle if you do not use them every 60 hours. Don't use your printer and you get clogs and waste ink. Use your printer often and you get PRINTS rather than waste ink.
Have a 7720 Epson had bad nozzle check no yellow did nozzle cleaning yellow not real god tried flushing more black than yellow came out of yellow nozzle . Did not hand force cleaner. Has some yellow on last nozzle check, all other colors good. Printed picture looks grainy. Thank you for your time. Art
Can I clean my epson with straight ammonia in the same fashion? I don't have windex
NO. Full Strength Ammonia is very corrosive.
I trired to do the maintenance and nozzle check but the thing is my printer wont print anything the paper comes out blank with nothing on it, so could it be that my ink is all dried up i just need to add ink to it ?
Or the printer is not sending any signal to the print head. Time for a new one I'm afraid.
Hey, Ive got an Epson pro 4000, and nothing will work to clear some serious cloggs. I bought it secondhand to try my luck....again. Do you think I can inject straight original windex, maybe with some dye based ink, into a 3rd party refillable cartridge and run cleaning cycles? Ive unclogged an epson before, but it was a 2200, with the cartridges in the head, and i was able to inject and clear,,,,but since the 4000 has lines, do you think this will work? any tips appreciated. Youve helped me greatly already.
kindly
It would literally take forever! For the Windex to reach the problem areas as you would still have tons of ink blocking the way.
The PRO4000 was and still is a notorious clogger that would have be used daily to keep it cleared!
But do not let that stop you. WINDEX will work but Piezoflush ($$) is a lot more effective. Join the Inkjetmall forum and ask there as they have very good techs there.
Ya..thats what I figured. Im checking that stuff out now online. Thanks man, you rock. By the way.... you suggested precisioncolors for inks, and Ive never gone back to any others for my canon pro 10. Great stuff.
PC has great and proven products that continue being improved. Not too many companies do that.
Great video thank you for all of the tips.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks!
great coffee conversation!
hi jose i have had a second hand epson stylus 9600 for some years and i have just noticed that the caping unit top and rubber ring for the print head that does the suction clean is not there where can i get one im so lucky for this printer to be good untill now but it has finaly cloged on the cyan and light cyan i need help
your videoes have helped a lot in the past thankyou
You can't just buy the gasket. The whole unit would need to be replaced. Being a very old model I think parts would be very scarce.
@@cheo1949 Thankyou I have searched and there is a Epson 7600 that is the same part for cheap
If you can replace it yourself then go for it.
I have this really annoying issue with my epson sc p600, the nozzle check turns out perfectly, no skips or anything. But when I print my art it's almost like it's 10x darker, no blues or yellows almost, and no warm greens at all. I'm using refillable's but I'm not entirely sure if that's the problem. It's frustrating since I just got the printer and it have been unused for 2 weeks at most.
I'm very much a newbie, Iv'e been trying to fix this alone, but with no luck.
If your nozzle is check perfect. Print a standard image without editing it. Meet the driver control color. If the inks are good you should get a good neutral and normal print. Get th file in my Facebook Group. It could be your inks. Your uncalibrated monito, and you are not using the correct driver, editing app settings. More likely the inks and carts.
Can I used vaccum just remove the dried ink?
no.
Hello I have an epson R2000 . I did this and now I'm hardly getting any ink at all when I do nozzle checks. I ran it several times through cleaning. Should I try this again? Or if I have air in the nozzles now..how do I clear them?
Are you using OEM inks or refillable cartridges?
if i had single channel clog, should i do cleaning cycle or let it be and hope it will resolved bnyu itself
You should absolutely not print any images until you solve the problem. Cleaning cycle followed by nozzle check then let the printer rest overnight and repeat with nozzle check. If you see an improvement from the last nozzle check then you know you are on the road to success. Cleaning cycle again and nozzle check. You did now say what printer. But if its a Canon you should able to narrow the cleaning cycle by choosing the color group containing the problem color so as to not waste ink on other colors that are flowing ok.
@@cheo1949 it's epson, pro series, had one stubborn clog at the same spot, already rest my printer overnight but next morning did the nozzle check it was the same spot...sometimes, doing head cleaning ended worse
Thank You for your knowledge ! And explanations!
Great explanations and knowledgeable answer to my questions. Thank You.
Thank you!
Hi Jose, I hope you can help. I have an Epson SC-P800 which has been in use steadily for about 6-8 months weekly. Everything was fine until a few days ago when it suddenly stopped printing at times. It shows the error "Printer Error. Turn off and then on again." Doing this doesn't actually help. I have installed new drivers, there's no paper clogs. It stopped working on my macbook so I tried it with my Mac. It printed once and then now shows the same error.
To eliminate the problem being a MAC driver or OS problem, I would suggest you find someone with a Windows Laptop and install the latest driver simply to test that. Printers usually do not stop working like that all of a sudden. Have you updated anything prior to the problem cropping up? I've had mine for a year with zero problems at least not yet.
Thanks for responding. No, no updated drivers. It worked one minute, and the stopped the next.
Not drivers Did you update the OS?
Lots of new info and good information. Thanks
Thanks Andy.
I have done the paper towel method 3-4 times and the magenta still isn't showing up, so I am scared to have to do the syringe flush method. :( I did buy this printer used and it didn't have ANY ink in it, so I had to buy new ink. I have an Epson Stylus Pro 7800. And do you know what cartridges to buy that are refillable to Epson Stylus Pro 7800?
Most third party supply companies will have them in there all pretty much identical.
@@cheo1949 Thanks for your reply! I ordered some photo black ink owl ink, but this is the first time I will be changing cartridges on my wide format printer (stylus pro 7800) I heard something about purging ink - is this necessary with me placing ink owl inks in there? And if it is, do you have a video for how to do that? I am learning all of this on my own as Epson's customer support is useless.
Angela Resendez Hi any luck with your printer? I just received a 2nd hand 7900. Maybe this evening I’ll get around to test it. It was sitting for a year, hopefully it’s not a bad clog.
Thanks.
Hello.
You have spanish videos? Thank you
Hi Mr. Jose! I have an Epson P800. I printed an A2 image of a stary night sky, a very dark image, and in the middle of the process it stoped inkjeting black and light black. Since then I cant recover both nozzles. I tried almost everything. I use refilable cartridges and some pigmented ink. What could have happened? Thank you very much!
Are you refilling or are you using OEM carts?
@@cheo1949 Refilling.
which one is clogg master ? Epson or Canon ?
Neither. Don't use either brand for weeks and they will both clog. The difference is Canon will immediately force you to run a huge Cleaning cycle after a long period of non use and SO.... It would seem like when it finally prints that photo, it will very likely be fine.
The Epson will not perform that very likely needed cleaning cycle. So when you print and it WAS clogged, it will STILL be clogged. Had it ran a large cleaning cycle like the canon did, it would likely not be clogged.
I hope you get what I mean. Both will equally and probably clog. Canon forces a cleaning cycle which unclogs it.
Epson does not force a cleaning cycle! So if it is clogged it will still be clogged when you print.
My Epson Picturemate is printing blank pictures - how can I unclog the printheads
If you have not used it like in for ever, it is nearly impossible to clean the print head like you can on a conventional printer. That's mine two are unfortunately in the trash right now
I did all the instructions..but still only one nozzles that I can’t un clog no matter what I do. The flushing solution didn’t come out ..
It could be permanently damaged.
@@cheo1949 what I have to do now? Do I need to replaced print head? Only blue color coming out from my printer.. even if only one nozzle is clogged .
I have lots of problems with an EPSON pro 4900 that was idled for toooooo long.... Any advice please?
The printer was replaced by the p5000 for good reason it had tons of problems not much you can do with it other than replace printheads I don't astronomical cost and so on and so on and so on
@@cheo1949 Thank You very much again for your time and expertise.
You have any recommendations on error code 131b
Printer make and model would help. Errors are not generic. Did you Google it?
@@cheo1949 Oh yes sorry. It is a epson 3880. I am able to do the switch from photo to matte ink. I am able to do print head cleaning. But if I try to print an image or I try to print a nozzle test is when the error code comes up.
I keep getting light magenta missing in nozzle check, once I've have done a clean the nozzle check is fine. Will print say about 4-5 A4 prints, then magenta starts to miss again?? . Any ideas (Epson P50 )
When this type of problem takes place the first question is oem inks or refillables?
Jose Rodriguez Marrutt refills
That's what I thought! It's the carts not feeding ink properly!
Jose Rodriguez ok cheers. What is best fix. These are only two weeks old :). Thanks for reply and your very useful channel . Keep up the great work
Best solution but not the one you'll want to hear is to reinstall original carts. Second best is to install refillable carts which you then fill with good third party inks. Worst is compatible prefilled cheap carts.
I need help! I have done the steps and now the black isn’t printing at all! What can I do?
I can't guess what printer you are talking about.
I have an Epson 7720
@@Onlycanb1me Did you figure out what the problem was? I'm having the same issue. All other colors are printing perfectly, except black.
@@moniquebritton2019 nooo!!!
I need help have an new Epson WF 7710 gave me an error that no in the manual error code 000025. I one of your subscriber
Any other Symptoms? Did you google it?
yes I did I got not realistic answers. say oh paper stuck issue.I turn the printer upside down. I think the printhead that went bad while I was trying to clean the head .It was working but the just before I change the ink it says did not recognize the original ink . and I went and had the machine to do a cleaning and finish out the new black ink in all the cleaning. put the printer off when put it back on it gave me this error not even in the manual. a new printer it only has 8 months.
As with most people, I find it expensive to run prints all the time just to keep the print heads in good health. The main reason for this is the price of the OEM inks. I'm sure you've discussed this before, but what do you recommend as the best quality/easiest 3rd party ink for the Epson P600? Your channel is very informative, keep up the good work. Thanks
No one ever said Printing at Home would not be expensive. And printers NEED to be used or they clog for various reasons. So what we do is find the least wasteful way to maintain the print head free flowing and that is to run nozzle checks every few days. Sorry but there really is no other option. I use Precision colors and they have a very good inkset for the P600 called PCK3HD. Inketmall also makes excellent inkset for it ( P600 ) but more costly. However the inks are superior.
Thanks for the info, Joe
You look a lot like my cousin Mike 😀✌
He must have been a GOD! LOL!
@@cheo1949 LOL, not quite, he is more of a tail-less devil. He is a Mexican-American who lives somewhere in Texas.

My taxes were filed on the 16th. As for epson clogs; That is why I bought Canon 100's
Wasn't the 16th a Sunday? At least a CANON Print Head can be replaced.
This is my busy season: Dance school portraits, increased class size and class days; more non profit, pop up urban art galleries (artfrontgalleries.con) If you work 6 to 7 days a week, you don't have to keep track of the day. Sorry.
Oh. Yeah. they were filed electronically on Sunday. I didn't work that day.
I get it.
