He threw the new exotic scout in the bottom Y tier when it’s the only LONG range weapon that can slow & freeze all champs & targets.. it has potential but only if you wanna sit back & do activities long range
I’m sorry for this essay, but Leviathan’s breath is S+, I think it’s the best general-use endgame exotic weapon. This is coming from someone that does day-1 guilded conqueror and duo raids. Each arrow does same damage as a base rocket, yet with archer’s tempo it shoots at almost 50 RPM. No weapon in this game can match the DPS of Levi’s breath without a dedicated damage scenario like Wolfpack rocket rotations, or acrius. That means that this weapon is the highest DPS weapon that you can take with you anywhere in the game. It has strong ease of use and ammo economy, making it a powerhouse in GMs, raids, and dungeons. Each normal scav brick gives 5-6 arrows, making it one of the highest damage-per-brick weapons in the game. It’s not tied to any exotic armor or mods. It kills GM champions in 2 shots with void overcharge and a debuff or surge. The bonuses that push it over-the-top are that it’s unstop and it’s prone to damage-glitching at high FPS. At 160+ FPS you can stun and kill Unstoppable champs in a single shot in Master raids. This weapon is not punishing if you miss crits. You still do about 80% damage if you miss crit. For light blade, we ran div-cenotaph, and 2 Levi’s. The part with the huge ogres, we spent 1-2 arrows each and just killed everything in 45 seconds, from safety. In boss room, we would div a champ/lucent, then instakill them with 1 Levi shot each, and we would gain ammo from this. Then we just used heavy on boss because we’d be full. Using auto to break barriers is no problem when you instakill them every time. Unlike wishender this weapon is god tier everywhere.
I think polaris should be at least an A tier since it can put out some insane single target dps, potential champion stuns and explodes stuff everywhere. not to mention when we get AB scout its a versatile weapon for GMs
had me till verglas curve in the "why" tier. you might want to specify that the "when" is important. meaning a lower level player will have a different need and a different experience of these weapons, yes? it all really depends on your level how you VALUE the weapons, yes? just a thought.
Off topic here but yall need to look at the interation between heat rises, ember of searing, dawn chorus and a pugilist weapon(specifically the bxr with incandescent/pugilist) you pretty much have infinite melees
Can't wait to see a remake of the list with the bus and stuff recently because devil's ruin is amazing and probably an s Plus here if I say so myself even though it doesn't have a catalyst because the laser can one shot people with full Shields and with using their super from my testing during trials and crucible and it just does massive critical damage because just one focused laser beam
Tbh i think that exotic primaries are way better in end game content this season then yall give them credit for. All of the best heavy and special weapons are legendary. Which frees up your exotic slot for weapons that have better utility. The only time i run exotic heavy is when we do raid clears and im on div or gal. And then everyone else is on legendary linear or rokets.
Yeah we had it pretty high, but I could definitely see it being higher on the list. Definitely a beast now after the auto buff at the start of the season.
Outbreak is definitely S or top A. Specially if you run out of ammo in a raid situation. Also its amazing in GMs Whisper is actually really good now. At least B tier for now Stasis exotic bow should be at least be c or low b. It has potential in Stasis builds
Bro, Tommy’s plus actium is so fun. Having a few ignitions per mag is insane. Plus easy restoration with bonk makes it much more viable. Just saying. Rest of the vid was mostly spot on lol
It's fun, but is it effective outside of at level content, hardly, take away anti barrier from the season and you're left with a mid tier weapon. Something can be and still be mediocre, sweet business is a prime example
I'm sorry Above, I have to disagree with the two tailed fox placement. I recently got the catalyst and the absolute work it does to stun champs is enough to make it A tier, if not S. I was super not looking forward to using it, but after a handful of GMs and a vow, I can say it truely does it all and IS worth the exotic slot. Edit: Also discounted entirely the stunning capabilities of Salvations Grip smh. I know the system is relatively new, but you can't shit on one guy for saying anarchy is not deserved of S tier (an excellent compliment to double slugs, especially in a FT with a tractor) saying it's not like before and succumb to the exact same glaring issue.
If you want to know why it does so well on oryx, it's because he has a 1.5x crit multiplier. All precision weapons do more against orxy, so it's less whisper than you think, it's being lifted more by the crit buff
Rat King in F tier should be considered a hate crime and I will not stand for this slander. Even without rat pack triggered or even building into the perks it’s at least high B tier, if you’re actually building into it rat king is S tier. If you have a single stack of rat pack it’s the best exotic primary and if you get the fabled 5 stacks of rat pack it’s flat out THE best weapon. People forget outside of rat pack it’s still an amazing gun, turns out built in devour, invis on kill, and hitting like a truck makes a really good weapon that makes you straight up immortal while there’s any red bars
This seems pretty fair for the utility or power granted by slotting it. Some of the exotic primaries people love may be really good at killing red bars and even majors, but so is everything so it's not as valuable or impactful as something like witherhoard, div, or gjally. And the primaries that do make it into S teir have to be truly busted.
I would like to recommend you to look at Tommy's on lorely titan and I'm pretty sure montes is amazing in melee builds btw I hate to ask but do you think sunshot will b good in pve after buff
How dare you sir, Cerberus is and has always been the meta All kidding aside, it doesn't do anything epic but it's quite good. Crimson is also fantastic for both casual and even harder content, especially in a Lucky Pants build. The heals from Crimson actually can help on Hunter!
Today I saw an over powered crimson lucky pants build that destroys everything and violates every boss and champion in one bullet and also you heal 40% hp per kill and get back your magazine after a precision kill and with a 4000% damage buff from all the buffs you have one I think it’s at least b tier
I think overall the rating is pretty good (im glad that quicksilver storm is in A and not in S cause I feel like people kinda overhype it and the other options in kinetic slot such as witherhoard, osteo etc. are way better). Altho I think some weapons dont deserve to be in "WHY" tier (= dont deserve to be on same tier as stuff like mida, manticore and other garbage, maybe separate tier?). Lorentz in full void build is both fun and solid option, it is still a linear fusion and with perk up + surges the dmg is actually pretty good (and its not that hard to proc the perk). Travelers chosen dmg is not bad, it can synergy with any build because of osmosis and can even further amplify ability spam which is the "current" meta in Destiny. Skyburner with Dawn chorus and schorch/ignition build is actually kinda fun way to deal with unstop champs and while niche, its solid pick for Proving grounds. Also I feel like many people (in chat) havent tried Revision Zero after the buffs - the dmg is actually pretty good (after all, Graviton was buffed to be on par with Revision and everyone is going "crazy" about Graviton yet neglect to mention Revision) and solid anti barr choice for people who get tired of using Wishender in any gm/activity with barr champs
Osteo is more overrated then quicksilver, with quicksilver the amount of damage you can do even in gms is honestly ridiculous and being able to one shot yellow bars that would usually take a full 50 bullets with just one rocket for just a primary weapon and getting the rockets are super easy and allows for more loadout freedom, with Osteo it’s a noob friendly weapon that’s it in a sandbox where ability uptime is so high having a build that relies on a primary for all your ad clearing is just kinda stupid. Osteo was meta in gms for two seconds cause the vorpal bug and that strand warlock build so overused and is garbage. And the point of quicksilver isn’t your usual primary use cases.
Graviton is drooled on because it has vorpal turnabout AND cosmology. Rev has vorpal and fTtC for pve? I didn't even do it's catalyst cause i hated the slogfest mission.
I think it would be cool if they gave hardlight the elemental perks depending on what element it’s set on. Incandescent if it’s on solar, destable on void and voltshot on arc
I feel we need a redo now double special is all but dead. Also id argue Lament has been used in more damage strats than Xeno and would put Lament in S tier. Its a hard carry for solo flawless Duality and same with the first 2 encounters of Ghosts. Also Final Warning should be up in A tbh that thing is busted.
Talking about Destiny exotics. . . Can we talk about Whisper of the Worm real quick? I have no clue why Whisper is still in the power slot, hell I've no idea why it's still an exotic, especially considering Crota's End is back. For anyone who doesn't know, Whisper started it's life back in destiny 1 as The Black Hammer, a legendary sniper dropped from the Crota's End raid. It dropped with the (at the time) new perk, White Nail. Back then White Nail refunded ammo to the magazine without drawing from reserves, allowing you to shoot without loosing any ammo as long as you could land 3 headshots in a row over and over again. Bungie eventually sunset Black Hammer and replaced it in a later DLC with the exotic Black Spindle, the exact same gun, but now exotic. Fast forwarding to Destiny 2, Bungie moved all secondary weapons to the heavy/power slot, and are forcing players to use double primary weapons. With this in mind, Black Hammer/Black Spindle is added back into the game as Whisper of the Worm, now in the power slot. However, back then Whisper was one of the best DPS methods in the game, with most raid bosses standing still almost all the time. Bungie nerfs Whisper, taking white nail and turning it into the exact same thing as tripe-tap, completely removing the entire point it was turned into an exotic in the first place. Now we fast forward even further, and now secondary weapons are no longer stuck in the power slot. This leaves Whisper of the Worm as an exotic sniper rifle doing secondary weapon dmg in the power slot with an exotic perk that just boils down to triple tap. Why is it an exotic and why is it in the power slot?
Oooh...if I only might show you, what can do titan exotic glaive with helm of saint-14...but it's very niche, I admit it. Although it's way more usable then people think. B or C tier can fit it well. I think ticcus isn’t b tier. I am not the most experienced player but I fell in love with it because it has a lot of dmg. For example if there is a knight in the middle of a lot of smaller red bar enemies, if you give the knight a crit it also crits around him and kill everything around it. It also has some single target dmg especially with the catalyst that boost its dmg by 107-277% which isn’t bad. I think wishender is the best bow but after that it’s ticcus in my opinion.

Outbreak high A low S for me its absolutely shreads and is incredible for champs when pulses have it
Great vid
Thank you!
He threw the new exotic scout in the bottom Y tier when it’s the only LONG range weapon that can slow & freeze all champs & targets.. it has potential but only if you wanna sit back & do activities long range
True but wish ender also exists
Sky burners + Crimson being Why tier makes me realize this is not someone playing the game for fun but instead trying to chase the Meta.
Yea those guns are objectively awful and this list is sorting objectively best to worst
*watches a PvE tier list
*Gets mad when bad guns are ranked as bad guns
This isn't a fun list this is a usability list.
I knew this was a bad list from where he placed wardcliff and outbreak. 😮💨
Seems dope!
I would fight gor verglas being at worst a B tier exotic. It is super useful with stasis warlock and it is my go to primary since it dropped
I really like Thorn a lot and have been having so much fun poisoning everything just like Osteo Striga.
Quicksilver easily S useable in any content melt’s yellow bars in GM
It's arguably better than striga in all honesty
@@chucksneedlee absolutely agree
Yeah we had it pretty high, but I could definitely see it being higher on the list. Definitely a beast now after the auto buff at the start of the season.
Coldheart with the new Geomags buff next season might be wild.
From all The weapon tier lists, this is one of them. Ho, ly
Outbreak is definitely S or top A. Specially if you run out of ammo in a raid situation.
Also its amazing in GMs
Whisper is actually really good now. At least B tier for now
Stasis exotic bow should be at least be c or low b. It has potential in Stasis builds
The Trace Rifle hate 😩😩
The new salvation grip and Vergil bow make a good build with any stasis crystal build
*BRO IS COOKING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING* 🔥🔥🔥
WATER VAPOR 😎
Bro, Tommy’s plus actium is so fun. Having a few ignitions per mag is insane. Plus easy restoration with bonk makes it much more viable. Just saying.
Rest of the vid was mostly spot on lol
It's fun, but is it effective outside of at level content, hardly, take away anti barrier from the season and you're left with a mid tier weapon. Something can be and still be mediocre, sweet business is a prime example
While, I agree it took a lot longer then expected to make it's probably one of the most accurate categorizing of Exotics in Destiny 2
Thank you brother!
Trash takes for trash players.
You did crimson so dirty, it deserves at least C. Yes it’s niche, but with lucky pants builds it SHREADS in mid-high end content
Whisper is my Go-to on Oryx right now. With recent sniper buffs it cooks
If you want to know why it does so well on oryx, it's because he has a 1.5x crit multiplier. All precision weapons do more against orxy, so it's less whisper than you think, it's being lifted more by the crit buff
Anarchy still in the best dps build in the game. Has to be s tier
Heart shadow plus gryfalcons feels great, even in GMs
Bro karnsties armlets and monte calos catalyst go hard trust me
Know what does significantly better dps than witherhoard linear? Anarchy sniper.
Exactly.
Monte should go in B, it’s really helpful with melee builds
Collective being that low is outrageous
i have to agree with nearly everything, even after season 22 came out with all the changes, theres like 1 or 2 things that id disagree with
Ngl having wavesplitter in c tier but cold heart in a is lowkey kinda crazy
I would like to recommend you to look at Tommy's on lorely titan and I'm pretty sure montes is amazing in melee builds btw I hate to ask but do you think sunshot will b good in pve after buff
After 1 year later I can confirm sun shot is meta
How dare you sir, Cerberus is and has always been the meta
All kidding aside, it doesn't do anything epic but it's quite good.
Crimson is also fantastic for both casual and even harder content, especially in a Lucky Pants build. The heals from Crimson actually can help on Hunter!
Crimson in why? Like literally WHY??? Self healing, auto loading, insane with lucky pants
So i just started playing destiny again should I keep using my Gjallarhorn
1:49 they’re about to nerf double special aren’t they?
Yeah it's bugged rn
Today I saw an over powered crimson lucky pants build that destroys everything and violates every boss and champion in one bullet and also you heal 40% hp per kill and get back your magazine after a precision kill and with a 4000% damage buff from all the buffs you have one I think it’s at least b tier
Why the heck is titan glaive bottom though it has a op use in stasis build aka behemoth
I refuse to believe fighting lion is better than 1k, bad juju, and monte
Putting Outbreak at B should be considered a federal offense
Verglas curve is fs not a "why" weapon it's dope af but there are better choices
Sleeper is my favorite exotic all time
I think overall the rating is pretty good (im glad that quicksilver storm is in A and not in S cause I feel like people kinda overhype it and the other options in kinetic slot such as witherhoard, osteo etc. are way better).
And revision zero is an awful weapon so much better guns specially quicksilver.
Graviton is drooled on because it has vorpal turnabout AND cosmology.
Rev has vorpal and fTtC for pve? I didn't even do it's catalyst cause i hated the slogfest mission.
Final Warning has the highest unconditional primary weapon dps. It should atleast be high C tier
I'll admit that is one I leaned on chat for. I've used it a couple times and wasn't my personal cup of tea, but I can see it for sure.
As a Monte Carlo fan I’m sad it got put into c but I suppose this is an endgame tier list.
Also Final Warning should be up in A tbh that thing is busted.
this really emphasizes how few options there are
Yeah unfortunately the META is pretty defined by like 10-20 weapons max.
Tbh quicksilver would be an easy s+
They confirmed very recently this season the double special heavy ammo drops was a bug
Honestly I'm happy primaries are some of the most fun weapons in the game and double special only worked in low level content most of the time
Oooh...if I only might show you, what can do titan exotic glaive with helm of saint-14...but it's very niche, I admit it. Although it's way more usable then people think. B or C tier can fit it well.
Apparently if I would make an argument for weapons that I think you are wrong about, I need to write a god damn wall of text right here😅
Honestly haha fair enough. You can definitely do some fun stuff with them, but def niche!
@@AboveDestiny probably I am one of 5 people that have ever used this combo. And one of less that went solo flawless throwgh a couple of dungeons with it and made fun of GMs with it😁
By the way there's unstoppable sticks this season)
Man, i still dont know what to get in that S+ tier lmaoo. Im a hunter main pretty much
Verglas in WHY is criminal!
Bro putting outbreak at mid b tier is insane to me
Crackedshell49 stuck in a time loop, it's fine he'll reach 2023 sometime soon
Hard light heart break 😢 my favorite exotic
One day I’ve grinded spire 12 hours non stop. After 4 hours my first lfg m8 got it. We then did it on master so he gets the catalyst and I get better chances. After that both m8s left. I’ve found 2 new ones. We’ve grinded another 4 hours until the first one got his hierarchy. So we did it on master so he gets the catalyst with a deal so if one of us gets hierarchy in that run well do it again on master if another one of us gets it. Of course my other mate got it that run. So we did it again and also said if I get it we’ll do it again, after like 5 hours you can’t leave your tm8 hanging. So we did it again on master. And of cours I didn’t get it… so we said Ggs and I went lfg again. After 11 hours I finally got it. But my tm8s didn’t want to do it Master so it took me like30 minutes or so to find someone for master. So we did it again on master. I then went 30 min or so Farmington the catalyst. After roughly 12 hours, 3 am or so with catalyst unlocked i… was just done. But I had to test it….
I tested it in normal strike… holy f that thing sucks… so I tested it in nf…
I went to bed and just regretted every decision of my life for an hour till I stopped crying and finally fell asleep…
Surely you forgot about the behemoth dps with thee titan bublee... riiiightt?
Me a Titan Glaive user 😭.
The bubble is fun and I cannot wait for the rework after S22.
Imagine Xenophage with intrinsic Unstoppable and Cascade Point 🥵.
Outbreak in B tier is crazy
Monarque should be between conditional finality and wishender. Other than that it’s a decent list
Last word on top
Any link where we can do our own tierlist on the exotics?
Here you go!

@@AboveDestiny Thanks man, keep up the amazing work!
Winterbite, final warning and malfeasance shouldn't be anything less then A tier, also cryosthesia is also pretty good, id put in B, just my opinion tho
