- My 2012 Porsche 911S (991.1 model) started to develop an annoying noise coming from the rear seat...yeah yeah I know, buy a GT3 with no rear seats and I wouldn't have this problem. So in this video, I'll show you where the rattle is coming from and how I fixed it.
See page 3 and 4 of this PDF for written instructions on removal of interior panels:

Here are the products I used:
3M felt tape - amzn.to/3MGKtjZ
Interior panel tools - amzn.to/3MJ0HZR

Thanks for putting this video up. It did the trick on my car and only took me about 10 min!
Awesome! I'm glad it helped!!!
Video for the WIN!!!
I needed this!!!
My ‘14 C2S has that rattle for last year.
Hope it helps!!!
I am totally with you on rattling noises in my car. It bugs the hell out of me too! Thanks for sharing this. 👍🏻
Thanks for watching! Yeah dunno if you saw at the very end but man...I sure find it satisfying to resolve those weird noises. I probably enjoy that more than even making a car go faster, haha.
@@AtypicalDriver Your sense of achievement and accomplishment was indeed evident. Now the 911 is perfect again! 👍🏻
I’ve got the same rattle as well 2012 991.1. Thanks for sharing. I’ll be doing that 👌
Good luck! Let me know if you have any trouble. Funny that mines also a 2012 and a few of the other comments mentioned being 2012 models also....wonder if they resolved it in later years.
Thanks man 😂 I'm having something similar on my 2018 Mustang convertible and it is driving me crazy a plastic rattle on my rear driver side
Yeah those things can be really annoying, I hope this helps!
I’ve been hearing the same rattle in my 2012 991.1
Thanks very much for this video
Thanks for watching and glad it's useful. I probably should I have mentioned in the video, it's probably only about a 1 hour job, maybe a little more. I struggled to get the panels properly re-installed so had to pull them back apart a couple time to ensure everything was lined up properly.
@@AtypicalDriver Good to know. I’ll probably tackle it 2 weekends from now. I’ll let you know how it goes.
You in California? I’m in So Cal
@@JulianDWhite Good luck, let me know how it goes! Yeah I'm in NorCal.
@@AtypicalDriver Thanks for the help. Looked like NorCal in the background. The Tesla building kinda confirmed it. Take care.
I have the same car and year, same problem. I thought it may be the actual push joints that were squeaking 🙌🏽
Hopefully it's the same issue, thanks for watching! 🙏
wearing those aviator glasses is criminal
my fashion sense is not my strong suit
@@AtypicalDriver They are cool ;)

Huh?
At a certain point, every (and I mean every!) 911-owner starts rambling about rattles, noises, squaks on the inside of these cars. At this price point, especially for a German built car, this is totally not acceptable; it would drive me nuts (these are dream cars, not Dacias) and for that reason only, I'm just not that interested in them anymore. I would be so disappointed ...
I mean, in comparison to other cars it is waaaay better. My other car is a Lotus, have you seen how many videos I have about squeaks and rattles in that thing? 🤣🤣🤣
