Love how it went from "Finn and Jake trying to save Princess Bubblegum from the Ice King" to pure existentialism.
when you look back at adventure time, you realize that this show has one of the most bittersweet endings in cartoon story, we watched the main cast for years, we saw them mature and grow old together, but the ending reminds us that not everything is forever, we are all gonna die and be forgotten but that doesnt makes the adventures we had meaningless.

BMO wasn't designed to receive love, BMO was designed to be imaginative and to invigorate fun, as he was originally going to be for Moe's child, which he never ended up having and hence sent BMO out to find a family. AMO was designed to receive love and became so desperate for love that he was willing to manipulate and abuse others to get that love.

I love how Finn & Jake always wanted to be famous and influential adventurers like Billy was, and eventually became more timeless then even Billy would ever be. Such an amazing show that gave us such a great childhood/youngadulthood
The way most of the best or most impactful songs in the show (Time Adventure, Everything Stays) are all about the inevitability of changes and ends in life, really speaks to how much this show values the passing of time and how the show AND it's characters change and grow throughout the length of the show. I swear getting to the finale and hearing everyone singing "Will happen, happening, happened... you and I will always be back then." as we were confronted with the possible and eventual deaths of our favorite characters, absolutely broke me.

@@unfortunate5725 Yeah. Also, s/he most likely continued to have adventures with the family, descendants, and longer living characters like Jake, his kids, Lemon Hope, Sweet Pea (We actually see him right next to BMOs house! Maybe SP and BMO are still close!?) and all of the others.
His/Her road wasn't grown over or decrepit, it was well worn and clean and Shermy and Beth walked right up a nice path! That tells me that our Beemoh still gets regular visitors and maybe even still goes on adventures of his/her own.

I think the reason why farmworld finn was able to exist while the catalyst comet didn't hit earth is cuz nothing is stopping finn from existing because the comet just embodies pure good meaning even if it didn't hit all of it's reincarnations still existed even without being "Good"

I love how Regular Show and Adventure Time started out more or less normal (well, maybe not RS) and over time as we grew up it became more complex and insane.

I'd say this is true for the last like 4 seasons or so. Before that, even though there was story, it was still fairly episodic.

This regular show and gravity falls are the best of there generation
Nekogami-Crystal the sadness is nostalgia. We as humans want things to stay the same. I mean, it makes sense. As the old saying goes “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it”. I’m sure many many people remember watching Adventure time when it first came out and they remember just feeling happy and calm. Now that everything is gone, and different, people feel sad and reminisce about the old days.

I grew up with the show at the same age as Finn. I hope someday the show will be revived because its world is so rich and there are so many more stories to explore

Adventure Time has to be one of the greatest shows in my opinion. It's well thought out and certainly well delivered, it's ok for things to evolve into something more great. They saw that this show had potential to be that and that it did. The show is very much so still kid friendly. Our brains are just more developed so see the true meanings of what the show teaches. I really love Adventure Time to death. It is so powerful and can teach us so much if we let it.

What species is Billy and Canyon and Why is Billy able to activate the enchiridion? What was Billy's original connection to it? How did Billy ever know about Finn's Father and where he was? Did They meet and go on a adventure together somehow? Why Did Beth Fuse with Golb and where did she go? Did Simon ever was able find and fix her? How did that story end before Shermy and Beth time? Why in the future of OOO does the world seem deserted with almost no one around anymore? What ever happened to the Candy Kingdom in the Future? What is the prize ball Guardian and why did Princess Bubblegum create it? Where the heck is Princess Bubblegum and Marceline in the Future anyway? (I Can Go On, Like I said there are still plenty of questions and details that haven't been answered and explained yet.)

A Knife Storm was happening during that episode, so it's possible the Pillow World was a figment of Finn's imagination that was made real. (See _Rainy Day Daydream_ ) Or it's possible Pillow World was a different universe within the multiverse and Finn opened a portal with his imagination via the Knife Storm. (See _The Lich_ ) Whatever the case, the Pillow World was destroyed by GOLB immediately after Finn left it.

I just finished this series at 12:30 am without so much as a change in expression and then when it finished I immediately broke down in tears.
I initially thought the pointy nose and ice powers thingy was just a design choice as seen in Simon and the alternate universe Finn, but I'm impressed they came up with an entire origin story for it, that being Evergreen's face used as a default.
Adventure time is honestly the most complicated and complex kids cartoon of all time.

That weird moment when the goofy boy-and-dog cartoon has complex, esoteric, cosmic-level lore and one of the darkest timelines in modern fiction.
It's more unique that they still kept the overall cartoon vibe and not the DC or Marvel vibe
That's what made the show probably one of the best on cartoon network.

I've been rewatching shows over the past five ten years. It brings back a lot of memories and you like it more. I'd have to say I love old cartoons, but 2010-present cartoons are more complex like there's an actual thing going on. I've been watching the timelines of each show and it's crazy. This one and Steven universe have to be the most in depth cartoons there's the before time, before war, during war and pre war. Also this show along with many others have proven the multiverse theory is real, how the change of a big event can make a new timeline and universe.

There's so much about this show that I love. It started off as just some little kid show about adventures and colors and candy people. As you grow with the show you unlock the lore and I love that. I like that the show grows with its audience. And it still is. Distant Lands has yet to disappoint, it's so good.
I honestly didnt expect Adventure Time to turn into Homestuck though...
I've been putting off watching this for whichever reason or another. Finally watched, reminisced, and cried. A+ job on the vid!

Been watching adventure time since I was 4, just turned 16 still watching it. Watch the entire series eh, about every week and a half give or take a couple days. My next full watch of the series will mark my 398th consecutive watch of the series.

Every time I remember this show ended it makes me want to cry. One of the best, if not THE best kids cartoon show ever.
Jesus...literally all I could think of are Princess Bubblegum and Marceline- like..only their timelines mattered in my heart. Great video though!!
what i love about adventure time is that the characters actually changed outfits and hairstyles and settings. sure finn and jake only changed every once and a while but they never just stayed at the treehouse they were always going somewhere new. and characters like marceline, flame princess, bubblegum, etc. always had new hairstyles or clothes or backpacks etc. it shows that the animators wanted to use their creativity on the expression of their characters and used their surroundings and attire to show change and originality. i thoroughly enjoyed seeing new areas of oo and always seeing what marcy’s hair would look like next. it just made the whole show more loveable.

The creators wanted the show to grow with the audience. That's why Finn actually learns and remembers everything he's been through. Honestly what made this show so awesome was the consistency when it came to cannon. Everything tied together, and we saw our characters learn from their mistakes and grow as people. Best show around.

Right like when I was a kid I just thought the show was just about a kid and his shape shifting dog going around on adventures. I always knew there was more to the world but I never thought we see it. Never thought I see the day either where I find out that PB is like 1000+ years old and Jake is somewhat of an alien and that Finn is actually a reincarnated destined hero 😂
Theres no way they had the idea for the whole story way back in 2010, i think they must of made the story up.
I remember when I was too young to understand that it was actually part of an incredibly thought out timeline and enjoyed it because, of how cute and easy to draw the main characters were

I have never watched adventure time, though I’ve seen some clips of it on TH-cam, this video has clutched my interest and has blown my mind away. I thought this was just a silly cartoon, Finn and jake going on random wacky adventures.
I have decided to watch the show in its entirety. The lore explained here is fascinating and has piqued my interest more than I could have imagined it would.
