God I love Adventure Time so much, this whole cartoon was my childhood. This is one of the very few shows that I hold very close to my heart. And this episode is perfect because Jake is my favorite character, I even named my dog after him.
I think "SHOULD KNOW" is a bit of an over-exaggeration.

I think Jake ages relatively to his mental state, Jake has been shown in a elderly state multiple times in the show, it has been stated that Jake has more life experience than Finn which would explain why he's older than Finn... DOGS ARE AWESOME!
I figured Jake's age was always (in human years) two years older than Finn. That age is then doubled bc of magical dog years. So basically when Finn is 16, Jake is 18, that doubles to 36 which = almost 40. This means Jake was 14 when the show started, thus making him 28. They're probably the same ago though because they're still shown as babies in Dad's dungeon, so maybe dog years adds two years to human years and then doubles the result. :P

Jake writing with his right hand doesn't mean he's right handed. I'm originally left handed but over the years I've become ambidextrous. And just as a fun fact: Lefties have about 60% chance of becoming ambidextrous.

Kind of a 50/50 thing. On one side it's me doing it just because I can, or because I find it easier or I'm so lazy that switching to the other hand is too much work. And sometimes I just do it for fun. Two handed drawing is a good example.
On the other side, most tools are made for right handed people, so on that part I don't really have a choice, no matter how inconvenient/annoying/potentially dangerous it may be. And some things I can't use at all.
Though I did have this one teacher in primary school that tried to get me to use my right hand. But that was because she was one of those christian loonies that think that lefties are somehow related to the devil or something like that. She eventually gave up after a month or two.
Stein I didn't know that stuff of '' teachers forcing lefties to use right hand because left is devil'' was still a thing nowadays .Here they thought lefties were retarded/twisted. My mum and father were forced to do so.

Man Adventure time is so special to me and it always will be. I can't believe its been almost 8 years! Im gonna cry so much when this show ends. I really truly have grown up with this show and my brother and I are closer because of it. Im going to miss this show so much. Oh man.
