Brother, it was an honor and a privilege to be a part of this adventure. Of all of the potential first muscle cars you could have gotten, this 68 Mustang was 10000% the best choice! Can't wait to see what you have in store for the car and I'll see you on the road 🤘🏻
Looks like Kermit got himself a nephew and the law deemed it's existance in and of itself a felony! Of course Andrew named it after what it's gonna do when it's done! And hey, lets be real, traffic saftey laws exist to be ignored. 🤣
Good job on helping your friend out... But, maybe do your neighbors a favor and clean up your front yard a bit. Not trying to be a d**k, just some friendly advice.
This video brought back some great memories of myself and my gearhead friends way back in the 70's! Everyone pitching in to help a friend get his car going or modified. Enjoy your garage time with your friends. These will be some of the best times of your life. I am 70 now and just bought another 67 Mustang for a project. The friends I used to wrench with have either died or have health problems that keep them from doing much. In the warm months a small group of us get together in a friend's garage, on Friday nights, to have a couple of beers. Thanks for bringing those memories back. I will enjoy this series of your Mustang build.
I appreciate the kind thoughts my friend! I hope your new project brings back some of those feelings for ya that's indeed what it's all about! People think they are machines, and that might be but they catalyze moments and stories that stick with us forever!
Good on you for your persistence. 68 mustang coupe is my fave car of all. Will be following your vehicular restomod journey on TH-cam. Respect and power from Fiji.
I’m happy for you man, I’ve owned my ‘68 coupe for 21 years now. Excited to watch the progress. I’ll be long hauling hrpt again this year in it. Had a blast last year!
Nice looking 68! I have a roller 5.0 HO converted to carb. Has a TFS stage 1 cam and pertronix ignition in the distributor. I couldn't get it running right with either the 1406 (600cfm) or the 1403 (500cfm) carbs. Not sure why as I played with jets and rods. I finally tried the 1906 which is the AVS2 650cfm version and it runs great. Also triple check which heads you have because I think they all used different spark plugs. Best of luck with her!
I had a 68 back in HS. It was supposed to be my grad project but never got it running. Had to replace quarters and outer wheelhouses on both sides. Apparently it’s now on the island with a 289 swap. I miss it and wish I could’ve kept it.
@@RidicULooseAutomotive If we'd go to a single rear plate like many other provinces, you could run the black plate on the front. Time to move to Alberta. 🤠
We are about 99% sure it's a later roller. But im down with whatever it is as long as I can A. Get it to run and do a good burnie and B. Take it out and rebuild it hot!
Lashed the points and they were quite suspect even after replacing them with new ones and condesner. I've got an MSD ready to run that'l be goin in for the next episode
@RidicULooseAutomotive I still would change the distributor, I think it's a big part of the problem. I built many small block fords. I have a 68 Mustang with a stroke 414 Windsor. I have an MSD box and an HEI. I wouldn't try to pull a spark plug wire off while it's running because you will get the jolt of your life, LOL
@@RidicULooseAutomotive I'm from Washington State- moved to NC, but very familiar. Heck, my buddy that lived across the street held dual citizenship, but mostly lived in West Van growing up
I can't freaking wait to see this whole thing come together, it's going to be an absolute blast to see the Felony ripping it on power tour "if that's the goal". Burnouts for days! Also always fun to watch all the schenanigans unfold among y'all! So cool!
What an adventure! I am sorry she didnt want to cooperate and drive home for you but that is the breaks with old cars sometimes. I am building a 67 fastback myself currently and hoping to make it to HRPT this year. Would love to swap horror stories with you about these Stangs. Best of luck and I subbed.

This is awesome! Can't wait to see the rest of the build! See you in June❤
Absolutely see you on tour!!(one way or another!)
Im bettin its an early 302 from a Torino GT... I had a 1979 GT and it looks identical to that 302

Did you buy chance did you check your points? Check out your distributor. The shaft could be wore out. Buy an HEI distributor.

@@johnroof2663 lol we pulled a couple when we were hunting dead holes and thankfully no big buzzes

This makes me want to go out and purchase another vehicle…
Or weld a certain appendage on a certain frozen ball shaped statue
A vintage, black plate California car... It's a mustang is a bonus. What's not to love??

Go to Harbor Freight. Buy a thermal scope. Read your exhaust manifold temps. Bet diagnostic tool you will ever have. $23. Ive got 2!
Thanks for the reccomendation I will add it to the shopping list!!
Why did he call 67 and 68 mustang 2nd gen? Completely wrong. Lol. Gen 1 is 64.5 through 1973. Lol.
Great story so far. Just discovered your channel, and subscribed and hit the bell to find out the rest of the story on this mustang.
I really appreciate that! Thank you!!
Fuel tank full of bad old gas. Did you replace the fuel filtter?
Edlebrock carbs are notorious for floats set improperly .........
They also hate it when the fuel pump is sending 11 psi into them lol. Found that out later on too
Who makes those glasses with the 3 colored stripes?
Those bad boys are from @HeatWaveVisual
What is it like to get a car into Canada as far as cost ,title ? I live in Ontario and think a project from The States would be cool .
