Bro you are going off the scale. One hour and fifteen minutes????
Are you becoming a movie director?
This is why I stopped watching Tavarish…
You and Hoovie have the ghetto itch. 😂 Don’t be surprised if you start mysteriously robbing banks.
Heck yeah
Just a heads up im an insurance adjuster and deal with alot of those as recovered thefts they usually pull down the headliner and disconnect the gps antenna. Might be why the gps wasnt working
That makes sense.

Could do without the laugh at every single milestone. Like being surprised that it goes into gear after you hook up the driveshaft.
FINALLY!!! As a fellow '16 Charger Hellcat owner, it's great to finally see one on your channel. If you're diggin the info pages on the binnacle, then you need to dive into the SRT pages on the dash Uconnect screen. FYI - you have an 18 gallon tank. The fuel mileage on the display is based upon the last tank base line. When you drive it, it will reset. ECO is worthless - you will get just as good in STREET or SPORT mode. You sb getting around 24-26mpg on the highway. I've gotten as high as 29mpg on the back roads of Texas in 110f heat, but it was painful to drive that way, lol! Your exhaust is limited to 99db when you're parked/reving it. It won't open up unless you're under load driving. It has active exhaust. PCM will automatically adjust the engine for lower fuel grades, so no big deal. Anyway, enjoy the car & can't wait to see what you do to it.
what a legit infodump on a specfiic model. keep researching buddy
I have a 21 Durango SRT (non hellcat) and the one thing I wish they did to the Challenger/Charger in later years was update uconnect in those cars to the 21+ head unit. The 2015 version they have is super slow to load and it would be awesome if they had a next gen version that you could swap in, but I'm sure the Durango version won't work/fit.
I didn't read all the messages to see if somebody else suggested this but did you ever think that that kill switch would be for the fan
thats what im thinking
Yeah I can pretty much guarantee that switch is for the fan
Waited all video for him to figure that out but........
I was about to say that😂
Alex, this was a super cool video and I really loved that fact the the K9 officer came out, explained so much about his awesome K9 partner. They are so cool, glad Officer Josh came out and did this for us all to enjoy.
1:02:04 Now we know what that switch is for under the dash. The extra fused connection was wired into the fan control and wired to the switch so you can turn it on and off from inside the car.
I did the same thing on my Mercedes ml w163, so I knew exactly what it was for at the beginning!
That's why I was looking for a response
We are not sure because Jason is just making an assumption.
Probably yeah. Had a fuse missing to
1st thing that came to mind on that switch was the fan.😂
21:00 That's used during pre-trip inspection by truck drivers to verify that the tires have air in the tires. Homeless people who sleep in their cars use it as a way to defend themselves. It's cheap and small enough that they can hide it in their cars.
Perfect explanation!
Who knew!

The baseball bat is used by truckers to check the tires on a pre trip. I used one when I was an OTR driver and it can be used for protection. It will give you a distinctive thump if the tires are low.
That’s interesting to know it’s a real thing. I just assumed it was something sold as a “tire checker” and actually just a bat to swing for protection, as of course they wouldn’t market it as such haha.

As someone who runs ethanol free fuel in all my cars, it absolutely makes a huge difference in MPG. I get about 3-4 more MPG running 91 ethanol free rec fuel vs 93 with ethanol
I run Ethanol Free for all my engines as well. Huge difference
Would you have bought this car?
For sure
If I had enough money yes
Absolutely not. Where I live, it’s a definite target and I don’t need that type of attention in my life.
Yes I’m sure you will find drugs in it
Heck yea
That toggle switch is probably the fan switch, 🤪🙌🏻
My brothers are police officers. One has been a K9. Those dogs are amazing. Great little addition to the video. Another great video and a cool addition to the LSC stable.
They're super inconsistent. The dog in the video also scratched the shit out of his nice Cutlass which is a shame.
Drug sniffing dogs are completely bs and usually made to alert.
It's a proven scam and is barely admissible in court and is going away nation wide as we speak and has been winding down for several years now.
The dogs also destroy your paint and interior when let inside.
Totally ignorant of Alex to do this and risk going to jail or having his vehicle impounded.
Piece you found is a titanium nail for smoking thc concentrate from a glass rig
😂 Gotta love how the stolen hellcat comes with all the stereotypes in one for hellcat owners
Dabbing out of a titanium nail in 2024 is almost as bad as living in a stolen hellcat 😂
I'm screaming😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Dabbing isn't just for thc containing recreation in 2024 either... That could have been a lot of things. Based on what he was doing in that vehicle that wasn't his, I'd almost bet on it.
The nail was definitely the drug biohazard the police found 😂
Another great vid, Alex. I really like that you showed our boys in blue and the good they do. Human and K9. I love dogs, so I really liked this video. That officer was such a gentleman too, a model citizen and true American. Thank you!
Tire thumper is for truck drivers to smack their tires with to check by sound and feel if their tires are inflated. It's also used as a shark bat in deep sea fishing to render the shark unconscious upon catching it. In the south we use it to knock the sh*t out of folks that may get too aggressive.
Hey, I rarely comment but yes the ethanol free is literally the best fuel I've ever run. I once drove a Honda Pilot 550 miles on a full tank of ethanol free..which is wayyy different then it's usual capability. Glad you're liking the hellcat!
Yeah the price difference for the ethanol fuel is literally the mpg difference calculated in. So it isn't actually cheaper cause you get worse fuel mileage.
You can look up ethanol free fuel on pure-gas. It's not as rare as people make it out to be. My closest gas station has it so I don't even have to go far for my snowblower.
Im very jealous of you guys. I live in brazil and our gas has 27.5% ethanol in it
Having to check 18 tires during a pretrip inspection, we truckers use a small bat or rubber mallet to "thump" the tires. If the tire makes a dull thud, the pressure then gets checked. If it bounces off the tire, the thumper worked and it can be stored by the drivers door for future use, right next to the flashlight and pressure gauge.
Yes! So cool to finally see a big Mopar on the channel! From a 392 Scat Pack owner, welcome to the family!
That Hellcat does look and sound stock to me. The OEM exhaust is not much different from a stock Scat Pack, so as you said, not much incentive to modify the exhaust at all. Sounds great as is!
A couple of tips if I may:
*Swap the belts for the green belts asap. The OEM ones aren't bad per se, but the green ones are a big improvement all the same
*Check the SRT performance pages in the infotainment screen. you'll be able to see recorded lap times, trap times, max G-forces, etc. Gives a bit of an indication of how much the car was beat on
*Definitely check/change the diff fluid, see if you can inspect it for excess wear
*I'd highly recommend an oil catch can for later installation. Helps keep oil vapor from getting sucked back into the intake
I have 8 Magnums 2 chargers and a couple of old Coronets .. I agree !!
Agreed. I only have a R/T, but the oil catch can was still recommended to me. I went with Billet Industries.
the mid muffler has been deleted on his car but scats and hellcats do sound the same stock
2021 Scat Pack Challenger owner here and I wholeheartedly agree. 🙂👍
Can you talk more about why the green belts?
Truckers use tire thumpers to check for sufficient air pressure during pre-trip inspections every morning. Way easier than trying to get a tire gauge on 18 tires over 100 psi.
"I can't find my 10mm wrench" Welcome to the club! 🤣🤣🤣

Alex, I’m a field Engineer and carry a pelican case with my tools and equipment. You can definitely travel with normal tools if you check them in your bags.
That's right. In checked baggage. Somehow, I think this guy didn't pay the extra to check a bag. IMO, not smart.
@gregkrueger331 I think he always just brings a carryon to kinda up the adventure lol. Definitely makes things harder, but more fun for us and ultimately alex too 😂 I think he likes to struggle
My tools were heavy, so I shipped them to where I was going.
He definitely means carry on. I'm also a service engineer and I usually check my big ass 1626 air case but I have many many colleagues who just carry on a little baby 1510, 1535, or something like that with the bare minimum for the job they're traveling for.
I'm more of a set it and forget it, have everything all the time, kind of guy.
Personally I've never been stopped even when I had to put some long tools in my carry on to lighten my toolbox up. But it's a risk.
Every time I used to fly with my tools in my Pelican, half would be gone.

Tire thumper is for checking tires at truck stops. They will bounce it off the tires to see if they are at correct pressure.

The Czech K9 units are very impressive. I watched a demonstration only last week ( at a battle tank festival ). Those dogs are immensely powerful. They would pull you apart like a ragdoll if they wanted to.
Dogs are pretty good but watching handlers trigger the dogs like the DEA does doing searches at airports pisses me off. ( then of course not finding anything)
@@tomeauburn This was a demo of how the dogs react to an aggressive individual (the guy had one of those bite suits). Then an individual with a sidearm (firing blanks). Then a crowd being aggressive. The handler would release the bite grip by straddling the dog, and pulling up hard on the harness/ haunches. They had one of these breed of dogs, and also a German Shephard. Both lean and mid-sized, but so massively strong. Greetings from Czech Republic !
@@Czechbound Belgian Malinois is a common dog breed for police work in the USA. It’s cool to hear about the Czech dogs and the similarities to the work dogs here. Very well made. Hello from Alabama in the USA and take care my friend.
I live in Fairhope,,AL and we have some gas pumps that have no ethanol. Its usually labeled as "marine" fuel since older boat motors dont really like the newer ethanol mixed gas. Its also really expensive lol.
We have no ethanol options in SC and it’s $2.70 for regular and $3.50 for premium. Ethanol free is a little more.
That's crap! I have to pay $1 more per gallon for non ethanol fuel. It's also hard to find. Another win for SC
Our only station with non-ethanol charges $5.19/gallon, and it recently went down from a 8-month stagnation at $5.49/gallon.
Only small engines get that stuff.

not even sure about the ethanol thing in the gasoline in NJ, but its 87! $2.99 a gallon or less if its cash
In SC I only use 91 ethanol free Shell in my Mercedes. 5.00 per gallon plus or minus. The performance and gas mileage are great.
Hellcats are always fun. I have one and a Trackhawks. I had the same problem with the fan on mine and it turned out to be the thermostat.
That switch under the steering wheel is prob for the brake lights. For when it was stolen an he ran he could flip the brake lights off. They used to do some what same thing back in the day
I'm a truck driver a tire thumper is a quick way to check your tires when you get fuel that is faster than checking it with a gauge that you do at the beginning of your shift. You can also use it as defense if someone tries to mess with you or intimidation. Since it was in a car then I would guess the ladder if he was living in it.
I’m curious did you ever figure out what the random switch was for? I was guessing it might have been a work around for the fan constantly running but I’d imagine you checked that. Great video!
I was thinking it was a fan over-ride switch myself. I have a switch setup on my 2002 Camaro SS from SLP that you can leave the fan in "factory" mode or force it in low or high fan speed with the engine off.

Check Trans, Check Rear Diff, Check Diff bushings, Change those black belts out for Gates green immediately, Check blower bearings as a start. If those are all good, great sign that the car is G2g.
Can you talk more about why the green belts?
@pricetagcitrus the black belts suck. Flat out. They wear out very quickly and they are prone to slippage from stretching (due to heat) or premature wear. The green belts are better overall and rated for higher HP use and see way less issues as far as slippage or stretching. If and where possible, as I've done with mine every single belt on my charger was swapped over from the black to green.

I worked at a concrete company and the guy that drove the gravel train, semi with two trailers, would check his tires in the morning with a pipe by hitting them. It would give you an idea if a tire was low or not, or flat. Don't know if that's what it's for, but I guess it's possible.
71K is about the miles I bought my 2016 Dodge Charger R/T 392 Scat Pack. And the exhaust tips match my car as well. In case you read this, there is NO jack for these. As you should have seen in the trunk, just an inflator kit. So low to the ground, you just about have to have a scissor jack. So you got super lucky with that guy at the auction sight. These muscle sedans are exceptionally good for your daily drive then drag strip them. Not ideal for canyon carving at all. lol
Since someone was living in it you should call it the House Cat
A tire thumper is mainly used in semis, not your adverage passenger vehicals have tire thumpers. Instead of walking around with a tire gauge and checking 18 tires for pressure you can just walk sround with your thumper and when you hit the tire with your thumper and if its full of air it makes a specific thump and if its low on air or if the tire is flat then it makes a whole diffent tone of a thump. Its a really simple and easy and quick way of checking your tires instead of having a tire gauge and taking a half hour to 45 minutes to check 18 plus wheels.
Tyler Hoover & Alex Palmeri are competing for "cheapest Hellcat in America" aka deepest money pits.
This car seems to be way better than Tyler Hoover’s Challenger hellcat
Considering The Car Wizard has removed and disassembled Hoovies engine, I think Alex is winning.
Alex fixes his own stuff besides compared to Alex's car Hoovies ride is a pile of junk which will make the Wizard a lot more money
The tire thumper is for truck drivers. You go around and thump the tires to make sure they have air in them. I'm pretty sure someone living in their car didn't have it to thump big rig tires.
Someone once told me that if you keep a baseball bat in your car for protection you should also carry a glove and a ball so it looks like you just play baseball.
I love that you drove on the highway with the window chalk saying (Bio Drugs) 😂😂😂
It’s cool seeing you come out to salt lake!! I live around the corner from the shop you took the car to get fixed up! Been watching you for awhile so it’s pretty cool to see
You can get the gps fixed. Since it was stolen I imagine it was taken off or cut so it wouldn’t track the car.
Given the "Drugs" warning on the window I'd be *really* concerned about a needle stick while digging around in there 😬
I was cringing the entire time they were cleaning it out. Especially jamming their hands into clothes pockets without looking first.
There was pot gadgets and pot heads don't use needles. Your ignorance is disturbing
lol cuz people who smoke weed never do any other drugs. Sticking their hands in there was really stupid.
@mentat1341 If they were gonna write "Drugs" on the side of every car with weed paraphernalia in it damn near half the cars at salvage auctions would have it written.
I'm assuming the Drugs call out is for the stronger shit. The shit you *do* use needles with
Yeah dude just jumped in that passenger seat like YOLO. I was like shit if there was a need in that pile of junk that’s a good way to catch some shit
THE SWITCH UNDER THE DASH IS TURNING THE FAN ON, they probably did that to get the intake temps down keeping the fan on all the time
That toggle switch below the steering wheel turns the fan off and on.
Haha made the comment before I watched the hole video I just knew soon as I seen it what it did soon as you said fan kept running all time. I have done this to so many vehicles I have owned it isn’t funny.
Well the whole living in it theory makes total sense especially if they traded it to someone for an ultra light trailer which is probably a camper/travel trailer. They wanted a bigger house.
