Did they do this with the 2011 GT1 championship? I had almost the whole season recorded on DVR from Time Warner Cable at a nice crisp 60fps but then the damn thing died and I lost it all… Tried watching the TH-cam posts of it back then but it was 360p @ 24fps and really really sucked unfortunately. ☹️

TH-cam, PLEASE STOP PLAYING THIS ON AUTOPLAY! Yes, I have plenty of watch time into racing videos so its recommended for autoplay, The reason for that watch time is not my interest. At one point this was a random autoplay that came on while i was sleeping, Due to these racing videos being several hours long typically, After a single autoplay i now have so much watch time and "interest" in those videos that they keep getting recommended and repeat. Its not just racing, Many history docs and other long videos also end up in rotation. There needs to be some kind of 'sleep mode' so while enabled, any watch time on autoplayed videos will not count towards your algorithm. That way its continuing to autoplay videos that are actually of interest and not fucking up our algorithms. I'm really tired of not being able to use autoplay, I used to get a few relevant autoplays before reverting to what it 'thinks' i like but now i can't get a single autoplay without it autoplaying content that it thinks i like, Because it put it on while i was asleep and thinks i enjoyed every minute. Based on comments i see on these videos, Im far from the only one. The one common theme between all these videos is they are very long and i think the algorithm is valuing them to much solely based on watch time.
