  • In this video we show you how to brush a dog with very thin hair and sensitive skin. This technic helps to ensure that you do not hurt your dogs skin when brushing matts out. This can also be used on any dog coat to ensure that you are brushing them as gently as possible.
Here are the products used in this video:
    Kenchii Slicker Brush - amzn.to/3mEEOAX
Another option that is more reasonably priced - amzn.to/3zkGzbH
    Steel comb- amzn.to/3EGcGDn
You can also find inexpensive slicker brushes at your local pet store.
If you have any questions please leave them in the comments below :)
    Thanks for watching!

I love that your gentle with Buster and you take into consideration his needs, being gentle with his mouth due to dental work, age, and skin sensitivity. Awesome video!

We have same situation with our dog as Buster. However, our dog goes wild and fights terribly, even biting. Going to the groomer is traumatic for her and the groomer. Groomer has indicated she doesn't want to do our dog unless she is medicated. She just returned from the groomer and is completely shaved down to her skin. Although we aren't happy about the trauma she went through, we want to use this as an opportunity for a new start. We would like to brush her every day, but we need to find a brush that she will find soothing enough so that she will allow us to work on her. We're wondering what you think of the glove brushes? Or do you have any other suggestions? She is a Coton de Lueare (spelling is wrong!), she's 16 years old. We think she might have been abused as a puppy before we received her. P.S. she does have a hip problem.

Hi there thanks for watching. Sorry to hear that grooming is so traumatic her. Getting a little be of a sedative from your vet wouldn’t hurt. I have a few dogs that need that as well. It just takes the she off and can also help the groomer. The glove brush may not be aggressive enough you could start with a soft slicker brush and if you kept up the brushing right from the start it should be ok. It’s when there are mats that you would need a strong bristle.

Hey what happens when you accidently scratch the dogs skin with the brush? What to do then? Is it gonna heal on its own? 😢
