  • In this video, I'm showing you how to make unique looking Sims in The Sims 2 Body Shop using the "pooklet method" with random generators! It's really easy, super fun, and every Sim will look completely different from any others you create. Great for custom 'hoods!

    FYI you can press F3 in Body Shop to get a free camera (left click and drag to pan around, right click and drag to zoom in or out). You can also press F5 to hide the background and F9 to hide the interface.

    that randomizer with gifs on tumblr, you would click on the gif and drag your mouse away while still holding down the mouse button, and it'll show you an image of the frame the gif was on when you clicked. the person probably did it that way bc it was a popular thing to do on tumblr with character pictures & it's fun to see it "rolling" thru the images lol

    Body Shop originally has more sliders, but you can still blend the templates in CAS, you just need to right-click on them. One click = 1/10 of that template on the Sim's face :D So about 1/3 of the slider would be 3 right-clicks. But BS is more convenient, as the Sim doesn't do any animations and stupid smiles every 2 seconds xD Also just moving template sliders is probably faster, but technically you could use the Pooklet method in CAS too, especially with BS sliders in CAS (from ModTheSims).
    Thanks for the video, the Pooklet method felt like rocket science to me before, now I might try that :D

    • @PleasantSims
      @PleasantSims  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I really like doing it this way! And body shop is my preferred way too, even though you could get close in CAS.

    I really really enjoy all this play you do in Sims 2. Im watching all the Sims 2 LP from the beginning. I quit watching tv because tbh watching your LP is better! Ty isnt enough. Can i say....more Sims 2 LP?

    Hey Cindy, thank you so much for this video. TBH, I've been playing the Sims 2 since it came out in 2004, but I had no idea what the body shop was for exactly and what features it had. I saw so many beautiful sims and I thought to myself: "How could you make these sims with the sliders in the game"? Now I know. Of course I know the custom sliders, but this is so much better in my opinion. You have inspired me to play more Sims 2 and that makes me so happy. I love this game so much. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Hope you have a wonderful day. Love.

    I wish CAS had these options like Body Shop. Thank you for sharing your method because I was always wondering how you made such different looking sims!

    I use this method same method sometimes.
    One thing I like to do is to do the modifiers, and once I have my crazy looking sim, I turn them around so I can only see the back of their head. Then I do the faces with generator two, completely blind, until I'm done. Then I turn the sim around to see the final result all at once. It's so much fun! And also, I think that keeps me from subconsciously messing with the sliders and making them fit *my* ideals of beauty.
    Another method I use is to build my sims' faces around a certain feature. For example, I grab a random sim and give it a large nose (within reason), and then I try to make the rest of the face "work" with that nose. It can be time consuming, but I find it fun, and I get some really unique, non-conventional yet still beautiful sims that way sometimes
