    Actually singing very loud can be safe if done properly (different vocal tract shape, more vocal folds connection, modyfing all of the vowels to very bright and narrow vowels like "ee" and "eh"). Little babies (and elementary school children also) often scream very loud even with distortion in their voices and they never go hoarse. Look at the vocalists like Russell Allen or Jorn Lande - they're singing incredible loud live and they do it their whole life without any problem. They're not pushing and straining or pushing more air to get louder. It's just different vocal tract shape, different position (completely different placement of the tone) that gives that distinct character of the tone.

    • @karen_louvor9348
      @karen_louvor9348 7 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Do you know how to control the tract shapes? With that much knowledge, why don't you have a channel? #needit

    I managed to learn how to belt high notes, but i tend to yell them out and although they don't hurt, they don't sound very smooth or nice. This video helped me hear the difference, so I hope it'll work for me and I'll manage with some more practice. Thank you for the video 😄

      Singing softer requires the same energy as singing fortissimo.Take away the energy, you take away the possibility to connect to the diaphragm, then you sing from the neck up. Seems that most students do not understand this because as the get softer, everything becomes Lacking in energy. Without the diaphragm you have nothing. That is , the connection to the body, the support, the breath.
