  • “Find Your Mix Voice By… Yelling?!”
    In this voice lesson, vocal coach ‪@RozetteSaaangs‬ takes you through an exploration of your voice and helps you connect: raising your voice (aka yelling) with finding the bigger places of your singing voice- mixing and belting!

      I think it's because your breathing is not ready to bear high shouty voice for a long time, in my experience it's important to develop breathing step by step, insisting on practice middle voice until it's stable and strong before adding half a tone little by little (I mean months and years before voice and breathing are ready)

    I actually found out yelling/belting by accident. Without vocal training, it seems to me that singing high was controlled yelling. I had no idea that it was in fact an actual technique so I’m really really loving this video.

    An absolute revelation. Other than loving and listening to music while teaching fitness I was never exposed to chords, notes, or singing until I learned ukulele age 65 Now in a novice band, I want to sing all the songs my grandchildren love, just for fun. I can’t believe what I’m capable of by just watching your videos. You explain everything, are inclusive and expose the mystery of using the voice we have. Even if I never sing in public, thank you so much for making me feel the pure emotion and joy of singing. You are a gem.

    ? about taking a big breath, do you inhale through your mouth 👄 or nose 👃

    • @RozetteSaaangs
      @RozetteSaaangs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      This is a mildly controversial topic within the field… Lol! Many say it is healthier for the body/health to breathe through the nose at all times [for several reasons]. However, as far as singing goes, breathing through the mouth is the quickest, quietest, most natural, and most efficient. But I tell my students, allow air into every passageway possible… with a focus on the mouth. ❤

    This is great but I’m confused, if the main part of belting is yelling, how come some people sound “bad” and like they are yelling instead of belting if it’s the same thing? You mentioned additions to make it sound “less like yelling and more like singing” Is it just twang? Or is there other things

    Hi Rozette ! I've met few vocal teachers and all of them told me that based on my speaking voice I should be a tenor. BUT when I have to belt higher notes it is really difficult to me and I have deep voice in lows but much lighter voice the higher I go. Becouse of this I think that I am actually baritone. One of these teachers was opera singer ( woman ) and I really enjoyed her lessons but it was way too difficult for me and I felt like my voice is getting so tired so I stopped it. Second teacher was good but we were doing songs that are not interesting for me and I got bored :D I would really love to improve but never found someone who understands what I like. I guess I will keep watching your videos and learn by myself with your help : ))

    Why is it that singing loud is easier, clearer, and has more vibrato and singing low sounds like talking and has no vibrato because its not powerful belting. I help myself with my stomach but singing low I'm not pushing out that much power. Should I make the vibrato when low voice with my chin or something other than with massive air and my stomach that is not available when signing relaxed? Not sure if that makes any sense at all.

    It's always important - especially in the "belting zone" - to train, and not to strain your vocal chords. Correct breathing and control of your diaphragm is half the rent. Same technique for speakers who have to talk all day without getting raspy at the end of the day. - But most important: Having FUN!!! ♫♪♪♫♪ (BTW: To follow your tutorials I have to pitch down one octave, because I am really on the deeeeeep side of vocals. 🤣😂🤣)
