yeah I totally understand your frustration when I watch a review where people push me to buy the iPad Pro. YES, I UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS THE BEST. OBVIOUSLY. BUT NOT EVERYONE HAS THE FINANCIAL CONDITIONS TO BUY IT, SO SAYING THAT IPAD PRO IS THE ONLY OPTION FOR A GOOD DESIGNER AND THAT THE OTHER VERSIONS ARE LIKE GARBAGE DOESN'T HELP. It's time for reviews to change and start valuing the cheaper versions more, because not all the functions that make the iPad pro expensive are really necessary

There are a ton other products that are great for drawing too. But ipad just does it better
Once I'm finished with my master degree later this year I want to reward myself with the air5 especially for procreate. This year's goal is to get started on digital drawing. I really like watching people talk about it and reviewing that iPad for drawing only, helps a lot to be sure for which model to go.
I've been on the air 4 for about a year now, and I'm blown away by how much it has inspired both my art, and also completely replaced my need for a laptop when traveling! Great vid berry! always love to see your content

My first ipad is the ipad mini 6 for digital drawing. And i love it. haven't regretted buying one bit. Got samsung galaxy s6 light table and that being an 10inch screen was too big for me. so wanted something smaller and wanted procreate. o love how portable ipad mini 6 is and got friends who have pro 11 and 12 inch and they are way to big and heavy. doing commissions on my ipad mini now.

Your work is amazing. I had my first gen iPad Air still. It’s just wouldn’t break, so I have an excuse to get a new one.
I’ve been using the air 5 since June now, and it’s honestly my best investment. It’s my first iPad but super happy with the choice, getting the M1 processor from the iPad Pro for a much lower price, and it’s really helped to kickstart my journey into digital art!

I made exactly the same comparisons before buying my first ipad, and it's this one, happy to know I made the right choice despite not knowing so much about ipads or iphones.
Also I was literally scared I might scratch it so I didn't even start using it until I got a screen protector 😂

I totally agree with your comparison, as an artist that occasionally draws as a hobby I find that iPad Air 5 is great! With latest M chip and great size I find it great. I hate drawing on iPad Mini 6 especially I have bigger hands and iPad Pro is just too much for me to spend not just $$$ it about all the power that I don’t need for small and minimal task.

I always regreted not buying an ipad sooner.. and now it will be my birthday and thought why not try to get one ? So I was really struggling for a few days now checking absolutely every info I could get to choose which one is best for a graphic designer and someone that wants to finnally get in digital drawing (funny thing or sad is that I bought myself a graphic xp-pen tablet that's really great, 3-4 years ago, but never used it because I was scared of my skills at drawing.. yeah..and it's not portable) and Ipads have improved alot nowadays for drawing, so I want one. BUT for all the videos I saw, no one speaks about the people that want to draw / photoshop and do design things that much, they just flew over it abit and that's it 🙄 All they do is talk about simple usages that you actually can do on phone as well.. quite sad. And not talking about the fact that they all copy-pasted each/other 🤦🏻♀️ Also they talk about that's it's a bad storage 64gb but myself I had a phone for 6 years with that storage, I was just lazzy to transfer my photos otherwise I wouldn't have struggled that much, the way you explained your storage gestion and thanks to a part of another video, I could see better that it's not necessary to have more than 64, only people that take aloot of videos, 3D and are lazzy would need more. I don't see myself pay 200 more for an upgrade since I already have a low budgjet. So yeah struggled to find THE video haha
So thank you for explaining so well, I really wondered if I should spend all my economies to an ipad, but you made me decide now : I need the ipad air 5 🥹

Changng devices indeed is a breeze nowadays, especially on apple devices its amazing. Amazing style, thanks for the advice as I get stunlocked deciding, I too think 64GB should be good enough for Art but others with less storage management/backup habbits will say otherwise. I prefer to take the advice from someone that managed to get by and create amazing pieces with A 32GB ipad 8th Gen.

Recommendations for screen protectors would be a help. I don't know what to get and one channel said if you use the protector paper it wears your gen 2 pencil nibs out.
I have the ipad air 5 and I want to pursue digital design/graphic design
Im thinking of purchasing ipad air (5gen) (64gb) but I cant really tell if its going to be the right size (cant check in store nearest store 2hours away) I got quite big hands but I always loved drawing on a4 size paper a5 was fine too so Im wondering if this would be a good purchase. I do own normal display tablets/pen tablets also but I really want to draw in different places so the Ipad is perfect also procreate is such a nice app.

I really love your videos and art and all the tips with procreate. I realy wish you would do more draw along videos. The one with alice helped me alot after ibought the ipad with your inspiration but still dont know anything
Looks more like Bowsette but I love it nonetheless! Currently using the ipad M1 Pro 11" and looking to upgrade to a 12".... it just might be the 12" Air 5. Did you personalize your pencil? I used skulls and stars (💀⭐💀⭐💀) so if I ever sold it in the future it could still appeal to someone. Had no idea how in-love I was going to fall with the ipad/ apple pencil/ procreate combo though. It has to be the most satisfying digital drawing experience I have ever had! That is saying something because I have been through so much digital drawing tech over the last 20 years.
Oh, yeah! iPad + Procreate is totally an amazing combo! Drawing on it is such a satisfying and awesome experience!

Can you touch on the pressure sensitive for procreate? And brushes? I just got this iPad and I’m new to procreate.
The pen is responsible for the pressure sensitivity, not the display ^w^ so to make brushes respond to pressure in Procreate you'll need an Apple pencil ^w^

how u got the circle thing when u draw? i though only the m2s got that in procreate??
You mean the cursor? I think it’s just the hover feature that’s exclusive to the m2. I have the base iPad 10 and it shows the cursor while I draw.
i've never had an apple product (except for an old ipod shuffle lol) and i pay monthly for 1tb storage on google drive. can i save my art on there too or do i need to get some fancy shmancy ipad app instead?
I save all of my artworks as psd files to Google Drive from time to time ^w^ I don't wanna pay for fancy apple storage too :3

Hii, I watched alot of videos and people say that paper one damages with time the pin of the pencil and you need to replace it (~ 4 pins for ~ 20$ not sure there are different pins as well in material) , for how long it lasts I don't know, I could suppose she took the glass one
@@apaiiyui8488I have an iPad 9th gen, I’m about to upgrade, but I’ve had the same paper feel screen protector for over a year now and it has no issues. But yeah the nibs do end up needed to be replaced every 2-6 months depending on how heavy handed you are and how much you draw!
The law for USB C will be enforced as of December 2024 in the European Union. But nothing to worry, I have my iPad 9th generation that I have bought in September this year. This is not a cause of concern since some iDevices sold before December 2024 will still use older charging ports, since there will still be people who have Lightning ports on their iPhones and other Apple stuff.
Ah, it's kinda annoying to be honest, I have both 6th gen iPad and Air 5 now and have to use different charges for them :\

@@TheCrimsonPopeHey! I use the paper like screen protectors and I love them. Just be aware they do eventually eat away at your pencil nib, so I bought a 4 pack of extra nibs just to keep on hand. But I will say the paper like feel screen protector to me is worth having to replace my nib every few months!

It may be the most expensive ram on the ipad pro, but it comes with a larger display with a 120 hz refresh rate and 1600 nits. I think it's worth it.
