Information is good but please note , apple pencil second gen doesn't support iPad air 6th gen and iPad pro m4 chip (2024) , for them there's new apple pencil called apple pencil pro , which is only compatible with iPad air 6 and iPad pro m4 chip ,

I had the iPad Pro 2018 11 inch for 6 years and found I never really take it anywhere. I got the 13 inch m4 and wow, it makes such a massive difference having,the,extra space. I can actually use stage manager and keep reference photos up without feeling it’s taking up valuable space. I don’t think I can ever go back to 11 inch. But keep in mind 13 inch really is big. It’s not quite as comfy to use it in bed.

The amount of Procreate layers is the exact information that I have been looking for. Thank you so much, my 12.9 inch 2nd GEN is dying and I am trying to figure out which one’s gonna replace it.
I just found your channel and I love how informative your videos are on iPads from an artists perspective. There aren’t enough videos on iPads from that POV. It’s so rare to find. I have iPad 9th generation and I love it! I bought it one year ago and I enjoy using it for drawing. I mainly create game designs so I enjoy using apps like Procreate and Affinity Designer.

I got 10th gen ipad half a year ago and it’s great for me. I work with a 3000x3900 canvas that gives me 41 layers, but I use 18 at max. The screen is not laminated and it’s not noticeable at all but it gets really dirty from fingerprints and dust. I think every ipad that supports apple pencil is enough for art.

Would love to see your thoughts on the air 6 if you ever get it. Most artist reviewers are only doing the pro but it seems such a good value.
Been thinking about getting an ipad for procreate. Ive got a huion on my computer thats gone unused for.. years. Finally got the itch to start drawing again but dont want to be bogged down by cables. Looks like ill be saving for a few months to get an ipad. At least my search is shortened to two models. Really helpfull video.
Bought 11 pro 2022 256gb just before they announced new models. Love it, but now i'd rather get a new 13 air.
How much did it cost?
You can draw on any iPad with any Pencil but I recently switched to the iPad Pro m4 13inch with the new Pro Pencil and i would definitely recommend going for that option if you have the budget available and btw nice Video 🫶🏻
i was on budget and i got ipad 10.9 2022 version and i do drawing stuff on it with procreate, its my second tablet in my life that i owned, first one was denver but i was child then but this ipad that i have now is enough for me to do media site stuff at school and own stuff

The problem with the new iPad Air 6 is that only works with the new Apple Pencil Pro, so if you already have an Apple Pencil, it won’t work, and you will need to pay 150€.

@Anastasiaberry I notice from previous videos you use ipad 11 inch. Since you draw a lot and have been using 11 inch for a long time. Does 11 inch ipad space feels limiting? Or is it preferable to go for 13 inch ipad?

Hello, sorry to say this but your information is incorrect. With my 5th generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro, 16GB of RAM, for an A4 document at 300 DPI on Procreate, you get 210 layers.
Ah, I've made this questioning a couple of months ago, I guess Procreate updated since then! That's great news!
I'm planning on sticking with the new ipad air '24 11th inch model with the new Apple pencil pro (purple edition) for my art and hobby lines like using it for drawing and photography and i saved up for both so I'm hoping to get it soon probably I'm thinking about getting it in September soon

Très bonne vidéo avec juste l'omission de l'apple pencil pro, et de ses nouvelles fonctionalités. Je pense que c'est peut-être une plus value "artistique", même si je ne trouve pas ça super de ne pas l'avoir adapté aux anciens Ipad... Cupidité d'Apple sans aucun doute. En tout cas merci. Je viens d'essayer l'Ipad air 13 pouces et les nouvelles fonctions ne sont pas encore effectives dans procréate par exemple... Il va falloir attendre le mois de juin.

13 inch ipad is literally a4 size would you really lose mobility? I doubt it would be that much heavier
I think the 11inch air is the best price to performance/gain ratio. out of all of them.
For non artists/video-editors etc. etc. The standard iPad is also very nice.

I intend on getting one after the Apple event next month, just want to wait and see what suprises that might come there, probably not any hardware related, but still. To me, even the 11 inch air is A LOT of money. Especially with the Pencil pro added to it and a folio case that is also too expensive..

Unfortunately no, only new apple pencil pro will work with them. I found it out only after making this video.

@@btdxpm 2 years or so makes sense for apple because maybe by then mac's will come out with a touch screen but how would we be able to draw on our screen with a lap top the reason I bought an iPad Pro was to be able to draw on the screen
