      Psh, you've got them! The work on your channel is great. :) But if it's helpful, I've got lots of videos on building those art skills on my channel, like this video: th-cam.com/video/Zh8lmNvz8ug/w-d-xo.html

    Omg you made this video just in time for Black Friday! Such a big decision with the cost and life span considered, it's actually hard to know which one to pick! You're last video made me aware of the layer limit, SUPER important. I hope to do simple background art or simple animations as an entry level animator, thank you!

    I’ll finally have money for an iPad and I’m excited to start drawing as a beginner. Thanks for being so honest and helpful with your reviews. ❤❤❤

    Yep, I was using an iPad Pro 12.9” gen 2 and lost my Apple Pencil, and decided I would buy the 2024 iPad Air 13” because the Apple Pencil Pro has Find My, and overall was a really good deal. I was worried about going from a Pro model to an Air because the screen movements aren’t as fluid, and I will say, sometimes I notice weird lags in Procreate when switching layers and brushes, but considering my old pro will stop receiving software updates, and I didn’t have a lot of extra money laying around to splurge on another Pro model, I am very happy with my 13” Air. I’m also just a hobbyist so I didn’t feel the need to go crazy and get the Pro! Before I was in art school which justified the Pro model, but now I just do it as a hobby.

    Turns out that the 12.9 and the 13 inch iPads have the exact same screen size. They just decided to round up on the newer ones even though they aren’t any bigger.

    Just so anyone knows. I've been watching a number of reviews and it sounds like the nano screen doesn't actually make a ton of difference when it comes to how the screen feels when drawing.

    although i agree with everything theres a slight mistake(?) new pro's screen isnt just brighter, it also has better colors that pop more vibrantly compared to the air models! i can assure you that screen makes a huge difference when you look at then side by side but ofc its not a need! ipad lcd screens are already great so if you like the screen quality as it is no need to choose the pro instead of the air!

    I have the Air 4 and layers are indeed limited in Procreate. CSP is better with that though.

    Funny enough I watch the previous 2024 video a few months ago to decide which IPad was best. One thing you forgot to mention and I think is a breaking decision for most people is Pro Motion as drawing on 120hz or 60hz can be wildly different. Though the new pencil pro is nice and is useful, having a more faster/fluid screen is personally more of a priority for drawing experience.
    Anyway, enough of my yapping. Your videos are truly amazing and thank you so much for the procreate/art education! ❤

    I've been waiting for this, thanks! I'm sticking with the Air 2024 13 inch, but I'm now going for 256 GB storage instead of 128. Would you recommend getting a cover for the iPad? I don't see them in your videos. I want to protect my precious, but I also don't want it to overheat.

      @BrookeGlaser  5 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I always have a case for my iPad, because it helps me prop it in different positions so I can draw more comfortably. I haven't heard of an overheating issues with the Air.

    I can't seem to find where the Ipad Air mentions grading of 1-4. Is that in reference to the chip? I am seeing a lot of M2's, so I don't think that is it.

      And yet, it was an amazing tool when it came out! You can make incredible art on ANY tool. Just because it's not the best option if you're looking to purchase today (many years after that iPad came out), doesn't mean you can't make amazing art on it now.

    do you still recomend ipad air 5 instead of 6? or is there really a big difference?

    • @BrookeGlaser
      @BrookeGlaser  5 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Big difference, the 13" iPad Air from 2024 (the gen 6 if they call it that) is what I recommend: it's compatible with the Apple Pencil Pro, has a bigger screen, and gets a little brighter.

      @@danielapimienta2285 The 6th gen iPad Air supports the Apple Pencil Pro, but doesn't get any brighter. To me, I'd rather get the an iPad that's compatible with Apple Pencil Pro.

    I have not watched this video, but I am very confused as to why this video was even made as the BEST iPad for Art programs is the best iPad, the M4 iPad Pro 13". The 11" model is equally great for people on more of a budget or who find the 13" model too cumbersome, but for the best experience when using Procreate or other art apps, the better processor of the M4 iPad Pro means faster rendering and less lag and the real estate of the 13" is easier to work with needing less zooming in and out. Also I believe you need to have the iPad Pro in order to use the newer Pencil Pro with its upgraded features.

    Brooke, I have been scouring the internet for weeks for iPad reviews and recommendations for artists. Thank God I've came across your videos! I've watched so many videos about the colors the iPads come in 🥲 Thank you for being so detailed about the information that actually matters to an artist.
