Hi Regan. I really like hearing when you talk authentically in this video. There seems to be a trend on booktube to exude an exaggerated enthusiasm that often includes yelling. I love the authentic vibe toward the end of the video when you’re really talking as you. ❤️

It would definitely be cool to see how you balance being busy with still reading. I've been dealing with that a lot recently, but I'm not doing it particularly well in all honesty.

Regan I just want to say that I think you've done brilliantly! Like you said, moving across the country to start a 9-5 advertising job where you don't know a whole lot of people, straight after uni is a massive life step! And you've managed it gracefully and seemingly effortlessly in your videos anyway. You're a strong gal! Don't ever be afraid to take a break for yourself if you need it though, gotta put yourself first girl!

Juggling everything in life is so overwhelming! We are always expected for stuff not to phase us but at the end of the day, even normal day-to-day to do lists can really stress us out! And you not only have a full time job, you are SO active on TH-cam! I have a lot of respect for people like you as I recently started a channel, and when you want your material to be of a good quality, it is so time consuming and requires a lot of commitment! Still, I'm always reminding myself to take care of me and put me first - and you should to! Just wanted to say, you have been a big inspiration for me to start my own channel, as I have been watching yours for a few years. Happy reading x

This was a good video :) I think for anyone after college/uni going straight into a job, or even anyone getting a new job and having a lot of changes happen at once it’s very stressful and tiring even if everything that’s happening is good. When I started my new job after uni I was so tired and felt like a zombie at weekends but after a couple of months I got the work life balance to a good level and it made me enjoy my work a lot more :)

Omg as a born and raised Floridian that now lives in southern Wisconsin (5 years now), I totally get your stance on winter/summer up north. I HATE the heat and humidity and LOVE snow. I always say you can add layers but you can only take so many off. 😂It's so nice to actually have seasons. Fall and spring are so much prettier up here whereas Florida is constantly the same. Also, you're living my dream living in Chicago. It's my favorite city! ❤️ keep doing you girl 👍

I know everyone is saying this as well but I can totally relate right now. Just moved from Florida to Atlanta this summer and am now realizing I might have been struggling with anxiety for the past few years. I'm super hard on myself too. Right now I'm trying to find a job, but no idea what exactly I want to do with my major... and I feel anxiety about not having a full time job but also my anxiety is preventing me from chasing opportunities. But at the same time, I'm so happy to be here and the weather is 💯!!!! Hooray for seasons!!!!!

I'm actually early for one of your videos! Quite shocking because we're like 12 hours apart. I graduated in May 2017 (engineering) and I'm working now. The hardest part for me was the travel - I had a 4 hour commute every day. So even though my home and my workplace are in the same city, I decided to move closer to work since I was wearing myself thin and it was beginning to affect my health. I definitely get the anxiety and stress that comes with juggling a job that you love with your other passions. I (obviously) also love books and I'm a book blogger. It made me really sad to take a break for a month and a half when my workload increased and I didn't have the time to fit these two things in my schedule. After moving I think I'm going to have a lot more time to balance these things. Your video really resonated with me because I was in the same place and now I'm much better. I'd definitely be interested in a video about how to manage time better and how to read even with a busy schedule. I hope you continue to strike that balance between work and the rest of your life. Have a great day! ❤

Haha! I’m from Seattle and I’ve always wanted to visit Chicago I think I’m going over memorial weekend. And you should definitely come to Seattle. Pro tip from this Seattle Native: probably some of the best places aren’t within city limits. You can be in the mountains within about an hour or two and you can be on the coast in about 2 hours or so. It’s what I love the most about living here. And the first Saturday of every month in issaquah we have a Pacific Northwest pug meetup....60+ pugs and a bunch of Washingtonians and Issaquah is kinda the gateway to the cascade mountain range plus it’s super cute. So yes obviously I’m sold on you traveling here. 😂😂

Seattle is great, and I’m sure us Seattle fans would be able to give some good recommendations of places/restaurants to visit 😊 In the fall/winter, Seattle has a misty, ethereal feel, and in the summer it’s absolutely beautiful (very little rain, and temp usually about 80F no humidity). I hope you can visit!!

If you do make your way up here to the Pacific Northwest, I would go to Portland over Seattle honestly. Seattle isn't bad, as a Washingtonian I've been there many times, but I feel like you would enjoy Portland way more than Seattle. Portland has a bookstore named Powell's which is absolutely massive and totally worth going to, plus Voodoo Doughnuts xD. Portland just seems to have more and seems to be better suited for visitors than Seattle. Either way, be prepared for rain unless you come in July or August, then you'd get to experience our nice weather haha.

You should totally make a trip to the PNW! I am from Portland, and the NW is definitely a great area to check out. I would recommend going in the summer or early fall. Also, you probably already know but if you go to Portland go to POWELL'S CITY OF BOOKS. It is the largest bookstore in the world, and my second home.

I relate to that so much! I have my own news website. I want to update every day (because it wouldn't be a news website if I didn't, right?), but I'm doing everything on my own, so combining it with my job is near impossible. Next to that I want to finish my film script, which I never have time for, so I'm always beating myself up for not doing well enough at any of my aspirations. But in order for me to meet my expectations, I'd have to work like 70+ hours a week, and then I'd probably still be disappointed in what I bring to the table.

🤗 I’m so happy to know your here in CHICAGO something I didn’t knw!! WELCOME TO THE WINDY CITY! I grew up and live here in Chicago. I’ve lived in Lakeview, Uptown and in Albany Park, currently living in West Humboldt Park. And ur so right about the weather! I personally like our winter over summer. I hate humidity. And the food is 👍🏻 great. I became vegetarian like 2 years ago but still so many options. Glad you made this video, looking forward to more of ur reviews!! Take Care...
