I completely understand the whole driving thing! I refuse to drive to a new area by myself and my family always pick fun at me for it.
I couldn''t believe it would ever happen, but I love you even more now (I actually got "OMG ME TOO" on most of those stuff, especially anime and driving!)
I am the EXACT same with driving. For some reason it makes my anxiety heightened, especially if I’m driving somewhere new.

Not only does driving scare the heck out of me, but being a passenger is like 10 times worse 😆 im that friend that holds on makes terrified faces whenever in the passenger seat!
I am so happy to hear that I am not the only one who suffers from anxiety from driving. It terrifies me, I have to drive around here in my small town but when it comes to going to Vegas or a Utah town that is near me I absolutely will not drive. I have been lectured that I need to drive or been made fun of. It's not a fun feeling.
DUDE this video was sent to me by the gods. Recently I’ve been thinking about how to up my confidence and I’ve been considering joining a theatre troupe/drama club. Today I hit a huge low point in my confidence and was trying to write through my feelings. I started listing my self-love heroes, one of which was Regan, and it got me in the mood to watch her channel. Then BOOM she says theatre helped her get to the point she’s at today. THAT’S IT THEATRE HERE I COME ❤️ :)
Driving also terrifies me. So much. And I keep 300 books in my bedroom that I share with my sibling!
I, too, was a Theatre kid. I'm coming up on my 20-year free Union, I'm looking forward to seeing all of my friends from theater. Also continued theater in college, and when I began my career as a teacher and I moved to Lake County I found a local group to play with. In fact, I met my husband because of this theater group. I've never played Magic the Gathering, but it always seems so interesting to me. Thanks for sharing!
Oh my god, I was a theater kid as well, but only for three years or so. Our drama club was more like a musical club and I met some of my closest friends there! Sadly, the school didn't have a lot of funding for the club and as a consequence, we had to improvise a lot regarding costumes, scenery and even the productions themselves. It was still a lot of fun, even if our teachers didn't get a lot done. Loved this video!
Driving used to terrify me too! Especially if there was someone else in the car with me. I was just so afraid of making a mistake and embarassing myself in front of others. I got my license when I was 19! Hahaha I'm 26 now and much better at it, but I still prefer driving alone!
My friends had to drive me everywhere too. I was 19 when I got my license. It didn't make sense until I could afford a car. I was super excited then, but the okder I get the more nervous driving makes me.

Hearing that you don’t drive much makes me happy. I don’t like cars I don’t like the endless possibilities in a car.. it’s a small space.. I’ve known people that passed away from accidents.. I don’t know I’m just not into driving like every other teenager is and everyone. EVERYONE makes fun of me for it.
I got my license in February of this year I’m 29. Driving scared the literal shit out of me and now I absolutely love it.

omg yes!!! My friends and I used to stay late after school on Wednesdays to play Magic the Gathering. We did that 8th-9th grade. I look back at that now and realize how lame we were but, it was so worth it and a lot of fun.
How amazing is it that our Regan has almost a quarter million people choosing to subscribe, that’s crazy!. I’m not one for numbers, but I remember subbing to the channel back in 2014! While I’ve not watched a lot of anime shows, Hayao Miyazaki is my favorite director. I’ve seen almost all of the Studio Ghibli films-they are all so beautiful!

This is so so so cool to watch bc you’re so put together and cool, and to envision you as an angsty high schooler trying to be scene and playing magic the gathering gives me so much joy bc I’m sure a lot of us see those little things in ourselves and it gives me hope that I can be as put together and cool as you one day hahaha
I did something similar to academic decathlon in grade 12 that was for kids interested in neuroscience, which is currently my major. I also play hockey! Thanks for sharing these fun facts Reagan I love your videos
I've never heard of academic decathalon- it sounds like something I would have loved! I didn't get my license until late too...I got my beginners at 16, but never passed my driving test until I was in GRADUATE SCHOOL at 23 years old. I went to undergrad in a very tiny town where no one drove or had cell phones (!)(in the 00s), so I never practiced. I'm now 32 and drive on a daily basis...I don't mind it anymore, and am used to driving in a big city with lots of highways. I still hate parking though but my backup camera helps!
Your old clothing style! I totally relate - although I never had a job during high school so I mostly admired people who dressed alternative. I was never allowed a pair of creepers which broke my 15 year old heart😂

I loved this! So much that I wouldn't have guessed about you. I was also a major anime nerd, and sports are detrimental to my general well-being too, hahaha. A weird fact about me is that I got all my high school volunteer hours dressing up as superheroes for my local comic book store! Nothing like being known as Batgirl to several strangers.
You're way more nerdy than I realised and I love that, it gives me hope that my nerdy self can have a life as successful as yours :') also I am terrified of driving and have no interest in cars. I'm 26 and never learned to drive, but I live in a fairly big city in the UK and we have loooads of public transport so I get by just fine!

I also was a wanna be alternative girl in high school, but my parents were intense and a little religious, so at most I got away with wearing converse all of the time. One time I did wear all black as an individual style inversion that a friend of mine was also doing too that day (she dressed preppy). I had my nails painted black and I remember another one of my friends saw me and asked if I was okay. I hadn't warned anyone so I think I worried some people...

I get you, girl! Driving is terrifying. You got at 18 but I didn't get my license until I was 22! The only reason why I had to get it was that my sister went on strike. She was the one who drove me to school lol. Thank you for sharing this :D
I actually love driving! For my last year of high school I had to commute an hour each way and I would just stick in the Hamilton CD and have a blast!
I love anime! I have been watching it since I was 14-15 and it was a way of making friends for me. Those friends are still my friends right now, which is kind of amazing. The first anime I watched was Clannad.
Oh my gosh!! I five thousand percent relate with the driving thing!! I’m 18 and will be getting my license soon bc my parents have been begging me to get it for so long.😂 I also find it really stressful and anxiety inducing which is why I’ve waited so long, but I’m really excited to be able to drive to the bookstore on my own when I get it.😅
I feel like I knew you had a brother, but FIVE siblings. Wow! And I totally get you. Driving causes my anxiety to go up too. (Also got my license at 18).
Oh I'm so happy to know I'm not the only one that gets anxiety over driving, I'm 34 and I don't have my license. I've driven a little bit like on my drive way, but driving gives me really bad anxiety.
One time when I was 16ish, my dad was trying to teach me how to drive a stick on the highway and as I pulled out onto the road the car died on me and a semi was coming and to this day I just freeze up when I'm behind the wheel.
I really enjoy these videos that aren't necessarily about books! I am about to be out of the country for a year and I'm going to 11 different countries. I think that's really exciting and something I'm looking forward to.

I’m with you on driving! My fear isn’t as bad as it used to be though. I didn’t get my license until I was 18 either lol. And when I did, I ended up losing like 10 pounds just because of the stress! 🤦🏻♀️

I was eighteen when I got my license too! I was terrified of driving, and I still, can't do long distances unless I know exactly where I'm going.
I also did theater in high school. I was more on the tech side, but did acting sometimes. It didn't help me with speeches or anything, but I am a teacher now and can still surprise people with how loud I can get. 😂

I was first clarinet in our school band (the sit down stage type) and also played saxophone. Totally let that slip after high school though. We were also the weird hodgepodge group of kids that had nerds and scene kids etc and we spent a larger portion of our free time watching memes on TH-cam. As a pastime. Together.

Aww this is such a nice video! Omg that’s so cool that you were in theater! You being a scene kid is not something I would expect omg XD. But you being in the academic decathlon is pretty nerdy especially for Russia. I liked anime but my friend was a bigger fan. The ones I’ve watched is Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Soul Eater, Ouran Host Club, Toradora, Dangan Rompa and Acchi Kochi. They were all really good. I don’t play a lot of video games. I do sing though. And I’m also terrified of driving. I’m 19 and I’m just learning because I’m tired of my parents driving me around XD
I also did Academic Decathlon my senior year of high school! We got second place at state in Texas.
My husband and I have toned down our rocker styles a little. We bring it out full force for concerts LOL! The last one I went to was Joan Jett, with our son (who wore my old Rancid tee). The last my husband and I went to together was Pennywise, Bad Religion, and Offspring. I have so many fond memories from my rocker days. 😍

When you talked about anime and playing MMORPGs it resonated with me so much! There aren't a lot of good anime out nowadays but it's always an option to go back to some of the classics
Several years ago I accidentally knocked a steak knife off the kitchen counter -- went straight through my foot. Just 3 stitches, but immense swelling and bruising. My family still asks (in nice restaurants too) if I'm allowed to have a big person knife. They often hand me plastic knives.
Some interesting things about me are that I've lived in Hawaii for two years and my family still lives there (I'm at uni), i have a poem published in a literary journal that has also won two awards, and I had tons of extracurriculars that I did for years (sports, theatre, instruments, a ton) and I literally stopped them all when I entered high school lol
I used to have some problems with driving but I got over it by driving daily in rush hour in traffic jams and now I can drive blind folded. You just got to face your fear and deal with your anxiety ✌️
I relate to some of these so much. Like the embarrassing ways of getting injured. I got a concussion because a paint easel fell on my head. And one time I thought I broke my toe by jumping off a low stage (a week before my brother's wedding). Also, driving used to cause me SO much anxiety. I was almost 22 by the time I got my license (like less than a month away). Now I'm used to it because I used to have a 40 minute commute to work and I still have a 20 minute commute.
Have you watched “Attack on Titan”? It is dark and the world building and history is so rich and the story is so amazing!!! And the characters are all fleshed out!!! I LOVE THIS ANIME SO MUCH!!!!!!!

I have the same thing with driving! I'm in High School and just got my licence basically because my parents encouraged *cough* forced *cough* me to. I'm getting better about it now that I'm basically being forced to drive myself to school several days a week, but I still avoid it if I can.

I also love theatre and Anime. Steins Gate is one of my faves! Both Psycho Pass and Made in Abyss are great SFF anime that I thought had some Steins Gate vibes. Also Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju (or Descending Stories) totally appealed to my theatre nerd side.
This is so refreshing! I loved it. Also, I'm 29, and I still haven't gotten my driver's license yet. I had my permit for a while, but I never took the test and then it expired. 😂
I went through a scene kid, or emo phase when I was in 8th grade lol Loved the old pictures!
Same with the embarrassing injuries! I decided in Jr. High that I wanted to get into shape. I'm pretty sure I was following the workout section of a 17 Magazine or something. I was running in place, lost my balance and fell in some awkward way, landed on my foot, and broke it. I was also terrified of the emergency room, so I refused to go anywhere until the next day when I could go to a doctor's office. All of that took place over Thanksgiving break, so I went back to school with a cast and a healthy dose of embarrassment for the next six weeks.

It took me a long time to get comfortable with driving too. I think I was around 18 or 19 when I finally got my license.
My uncle taught me how to Magic last summer! And I was really into anime too (still am sometimes!).
I had no idea you could do theatre competitively! That's really cool though. And I relate to the driving thing so much. I only got mine because my godmother forced me and said she would pay for it. I haven't driven in three years and the thought alone makes me antsy.
I just started playing MTG lol. I've gotten really into board games over the last couple of years and its been a life changer
You were me in middle school and high school with the wantbe scene kid. I had the side bangs with choppy layered hair. I my favorite pair of jeans and one was purple corduroy jeans and the other one was he teal blue corduroy jeans. I remember myself waering purple and black eyeshadow, or pink and blue eyeshadow or green eyeshadow or pink and purple eyeshadow in middle school. I also remember buying myself black tiara and pink with black srtripes and blue with black stripes hair extensions from hot topic in eighth grade I thought I was cool! My older brother got me into anime too and his taste of music.
I loved this video so much!! My little brother and I had a serious Avatar: The Last Airbender Phase, I think we actually thought we had a chance of becoming air benders and we would spend our free time trying to control the elements with our minds.... yeah. 😂#oneday!

A random thing about me that I suppose it quite odd and literally no one ever believes is true is that I've never had a headache- honestly I don't know how it's possible either but I can seriously never remember having a headache in my life and I can't even imagine what it would feel like
I was super goth throughout middle school and high school, lol. I still listen to goth music to this day though.
My husband and I still play MTG together and we actually played a game with our officiant right after the ceremony, lol. I played LoL religiously in high school and painted minis with my cousin. Unfortunately a lot of my habits have turned me into a shut in and I don't really leave my house anymore especially now that I work from home, but I've been thinking about getting more into the booktube community because it's pretty lonely being stuck at home all the time!
