Something kashimaro clickclick pointed out was that this is actually a hybrid between an arena fighter and a 3D fighting game since you can't actually make your character look away from the opponent, like in pretty much every other arena fighter.

@@paledrake I would call that comparing with this game's block being a resource that you press 1 button, not saying it is bad by any means, it's just another way to do it, but normally on good low/high attack games, a overhead attack is reactable so you can defend standing up and keep the low block as the standard, as well as reacting to mixup attacks that cross you, making you switch up directions

It sounds like a genius combat system to me that fits really well with the structure of anime fights, if you noticed, the "evolution" bar fills almost double as fast when you are the one getting hit, you are essentially getting stronger the more beaten up you get, that is shonen fights 101! Time is the great equalizer here, the longer the match goes the higher the stakes since the characters become stronger and capable of erasing any lead you gained over the opponent.
“you are essentially getting stronger the more beaten up you get” Calling this genius is wild. By no means should the guy losing the fight be rewarded like this. Oh well, Sparking Zero it is

@SilentiumCivis and from a comeback perspective if you focus on toying with your opponent because you're so far ahead, the strength of those later attacks can reverse the whole situation.
@@sharogengaming7716 Didn’t even think about that. @@Karlkarlssonn it's kind of a hybrid, it doesn't move anything like an arena fighter, the fighting angles are fixed and there's no one button way to make a complete combo

I’ve always strayed away from areana fighters as a competitive 2-D fighting game player because of certain aspects that make them less competitive. I’m super excited about this game because I’ve been a bleach fan my entire life but one thing that looks scary is for half a bar of reverse gauge(as he mentioned)you can flash step out of an opponents move and get a free combo. Hopefully it isn’t that simple because that doesn’t seem fair at all to me. If you have half a gauge, your opponent should actively know that they can never try to hit you or they will forcibly take an entire combo, putting them in a state where they’re not allowed to do anything because they can’t progress in fear of getting hit. Hopefully it’s like buffering a super when they’re predicting a fireball and you can’t just mash it or if you would do it even at the slightly wrong time you’ll be heavily punished to balance it.
You already know Soifon in sublimation is gonna 1 hit kill or maybe she'll stack +1's with her kikon moves. Its honestly cool that characters take advantage of different mechanics. like I saw Gin's red move has a massive range compare to the others.
Maybe she has a move that allows you to stack up +1's until you release them or something like that? Either way she has way too much potential with this system.
The video was very well structured and made. Good stuff man! migt be one of the best breaking down systems, based on the Krew Beinside gameplayy I've seen so far.
There actually is a mechanic of dashing. You can see Gin and Yoruichi using it a couple times, like they come flying to get close to the oponent. Maybe it was poorly used because of the gamint skills of the VAs lol
The one thing I think you get wrong here is that dash isn’t the only form of movement. That “big dash” from Yoruichi is a sprint. I presume you hold down the dash button to transition into a sprint. I just assume that the Gin player simply didn’t know you could do that and mashed the dash button instead
I think I’m starting to understand a bit more. So each state of normal/awakening state of each character is going to have at least two ultimates (one ultimate happens when it says spirit drive near your health bar). Ichigo in shikai basically has the same ultimate in both situations, but when done when spirit drive is active, the manifestation of his Quincy Powers appears. ichigo in bankai has completely different ones. Apologies if someone's said this already but what if Sublimation only gives characters whose Evolution is a Bankai (or Bankai-like in power) the +1 to Konpaku damage? This could be the game's way of somewhat balancing the power levels of characters to be at least a LITTLE realistic to the show. What made me think of this was the fact that Sublimation is only available post Evolution, and thinking that at that point Rukia was fighting with a Shikai against Byakuya's Bankai. Could be a cool way of somewhat sticking to the series' established power levels of Bankai are straight up supposed to be stronger than Shikai. And to make sure it's not just a dead bar for characters like Rukia I'm sure her Sublimation probably gives her some other bonuses instead of that +1 Konpaku damage.
Cool idea. But that’s not how it’s gonna work it’s gonna add the same +1 or whatever to all characters. You can’t make a fighting game realistic to the anime. Or else I wouldn’t have been dunking kids on storm 4 as konohamuru(kid)

Where she has some sorta unique ability that if she fifills certain requirements during the match she gets a +1 stock temporarily and if she is able to stack enough she can use her ability to instant KO.
I'm actually really looking forward to this as it seems potentially more competitive than Sparking Zero. The (apparent) removal of jumping and air actions that come with it seems like an interesting design decision for the genre which I think will make run-away strategies worse. The varying amounts of tracking and specific hitboxes on the moves we've seen so far might make spacing moves correctly more important that we've seen in the genre so far as well. So yeah, really excited for it. Also, it's BLEACH!!!
Thank you for your contribution to the Bleach community, Anime community, and Fighting Game community. I had no idea what I was looking at. The explanation only serves to make me vastly more excited about the game. The reverse action and evolution seems way cooler now.
The PSP Dissidia games are the only arena fighters I loved a whole lot and put like 400+ hours into them. Not a big fan of arena fighters, this Bleach game looking more like a 3D fighter looks amazing.
Game is shaping up to be a more quick more mechanic-heavy Budokai 3 (not tenkaichi) and I think it's great. The way they fly or land automatically, appearing behind the enemy mechanics, mid battle transformations, possibility to take a step or move in the 3D environment despite the fight looking more like a tradicional 2D 1x1 fighting, all straight from Budokai and I really love that game. Developers are cooking with this one. Now we just need a good roster.
My theory about Yoruichi unleashing her Kikon Move raw is that Sublimation allows you to trigger the Kikon Move for free but it requires a long charge up, which can be set up by landing a heavy attack.
Great video mate! Definitely starting to get a grasp on how the systems work😅. Honestly I think it’s cool this game has a unique system that requires thought, instead of just mashing buttons like most arena fighters.
Finally people are starting to acknowledge that this game is morw then just an average arena fighter. I've been saying this ever since the Yoruichi trailer.
@@babyyyz7948 the combat is more reminiscent of 3d fighters like bleach heat the soul and the naruto clash of ninja , which is the best comparison I can make besides tekken or soul calibur. And Naruto clash of ninja 4 actually had a tournament scene like in CEOtaku

Thanks for explaining the Gameplay of Rebirth of Souls and Now I can learn some of the initiate gameplay mechanics to fight the next anime renaissance fighters.
graphics are outstanding, way better than sparking zero to me. gameplay itself seems way more complex of arena games, it could've just been a 2.5D fighting game like tekken with lateral movement. but until i try it, i'm not sold on it, seems most moves have huge handlag even movement itself, and there's waaay to many stops during the fight. usually on fighting games like fighterz stops are for the supers, but there there's multiple phases and stops during life bar, it would've been fine with bankai, but slowdowns and other cutscenes are too much. hope i will proven wrong, because i love bleach and looks so good i hope it is fun too
This game doesn’t seem to actually be an arena fighter like Demon Slayer or Storm, but more of a 3D fighter like Tekken. From what I’ve seen the characters can’t do a full 360 and look at the camera but instead are locked into position facing each other. Stuff like that usually indicates a 3D fighter not a normal arena fighter. It has stuff like walk, run, and 8 way dashes and side stepping so I don’t think it’s right if we called it an anime arena fighter, but that’s just me
I knew it was only a matter of time before you gave this game a proper in depth video analysis. The outrage you received about an offhand comment about the gameplay mechanics is baffling to me. I love bleach and while I am glad that you created this video, the terms used are not needed to convey gameplay mechanics. I’m glad they are incorporating them into the game but the average person can understand the game through basic fighting game mechanic terminology.
soi fon will probably have an ability in shikai where if u use the kikon move once it doesnt give the plus one but it marks them and if u use it again theyre dead
I looked back at the Gameplay between Yoruichi and Byakuya and still don't understand how Yoruichi just activated her Kikkon move at will. Byakuya's health was full
Great explanation for the system being used. So I guess it’s pretty safe to assume characters like “mugestsu” have the potential to one shot opponents. Would fit that version of ichigo as well
Here Are My Predictions. The Top 4 Types In Tiers. Top Tier Characters Are Going To Be Long Ranged & Technique. Characters. Like Byuakuya,Gin,Renji And Uryu. 2nd Best Are Going To Be Speed And Quick Meter Building Characters. Like Youruichi,Soi-Feng And Etc. 3rd Best Are Going To Be Big Damage,Close Ranged And Armored Characters. Like Kenpachi,Chad,Ikkaku And Etc. Mid And Low Tier Are Going To Be Well Balanced And Honest Characters. Like Ichigo,Rangiku And Etc. Ofcourse A Few Will Be Exceptions To Qualify For Top & A Tier. As Far As Well Balanced And Honest Characters Go. These Are My Prediction For The Meta And Tiers. *Takes Bow* 👍
The Names Of Characters In Those Tiers/Metas Might Change. However The TYPE Will Not. As They Reveal More Characters. There Might Be Better Ranged Characters Than Byuakuya,Gin Or Uryu. However Ranged Characters Will Still Be The Top Tier “Types”. There Might Be Better Speed Characters Than Yoruichi. However The Speed Types Will Still Be 2nd Best In The Meta. There Might Be Better Power Characters Revealed Other Than Chad. However The Power And Armor Characters. Are Still Going To Be The 3rd Best Type In The Meta.
I might be completly wrong but isnt it said that this game is NOT arena fighter because u are always facing your opponent. Its more close to 3D fighter like tekken but with up and down movement added as bonus
So far its looking like Ichigo: easy, close combat with buffs Rukia: possibly a combo master with a ton of kido Byakuya: Weapon stance switching for close or range with superior keep away Uryu: Pure Zoner Chad: Guard breaking and heavy one shots Gin: Massive Tip game centered around counters and sneaky backshots leading to increases length and tip damage Rangiku: Total troll style through kido designed to fuck with you Toshiro: Hyper aggressive style Kisuke: bit of everything with buffs Yoruichi: Speed master with superior movement just with the small info we've gotten, they seem to have captured the actual styles of them from the series (except maybe Kisuke) If they are actually going deeper than surface level arena crap, this could be worth a buy, I already am more interested in this than Sparking which I'm not getting so I'll be keeping up with this one.
I look at like rounds If u take 2 default and seems to go into evo after then it increases to 4-6 u still have to take the last 1-3 souls so thats 3 rounds max its really smart honestly complex like how bleach is supposed to but simple once understood U have 9 souls U take 2-3 maybe 4 End of Round 1 basically U repeat End of Round 2 Might go to 3 and beyond but a good matchup might have like 4 plus rounds which is dope to me it feels like they took inspiration from sparking zero, budokai,Guilty gear and Tekken which would be awesome if they did but maybe cause i love those games that i can see some things from those games in this game regardless this foundation is great for the possibility to be a bit competitive

This is the best breakdown of the mechanics I’ve seen. Great job
Thank you for your contribution to the Bleach community, Anime community, and Fighting Game community. I had no idea what I was looking at. The explanation only serves to make me vastly more excited about the game. The reverse action and evolution seems way cooler now.
this makes waaaaaaaay more sense!!!! thank you!!!!
I love the battle system so much, it reminds me of dissidia duodeciem in a way, and it feels like some competitive thoughts was put into it
The PSP Dissidia games are the only arena fighters I loved a whole lot and put like 400+ hours into them. Not a big fan of arena fighters, this Bleach game looking more like a 3D fighter looks amazing.
It does resembles a lot how Dissidia worked
the hype is reall this game bouta be sick hope it dosent die like (demon slayer hinokami chronicles)
Perfect explanation Globku!
Nice! Makes so much more sense now 🤝🤝 i was so wrong about the sublimation thing 😂
Globku always the best
OMG This video was so good. You made a realy good job.
Idk if I’m more excited for Sparking Zero or for Rebirth Souls💀😭😭
Follow your heart❤ bud
My theory about Yoruichi unleashing her Kikon Move raw is that Sublimation allows you to trigger the Kikon Move for free but it requires a long charge up, which can be set up by landing a heavy attack.
I just wish I can play as Visoreds
They are underrated af
I Believe they’ll Be Playable
Thank you for the breakdown, definitely appreciated
This battle system seems really neat and interesting
No wonder Ichigo reverse action gives him a lil hollow mask in bankai ig it acts as a extra evolution for him only
Great video mate! Definitely starting to get a grasp on how the systems work😅. Honestly I think it’s cool this game has a unique system that requires thought, instead of just mashing buttons like most arena fighters.
LOL That Thumbnail Art
Finally people are starting to acknowledge that this game is morw then just an average arena fighter. I've been saying this ever since the Yoruichi trailer.
Willy the combat be like fighterz etc mortal combat or sparking zero?
@@babyyyz7948 the combat is more reminiscent of 3d fighters like bleach heat the soul and the naruto clash of ninja , which is the best comparison I can make besides tekken or soul calibur. And Naruto clash of ninja 4 actually had a tournament scene like in CEOtaku
I don't think this game needs rounds, the Konpaku system by itself is the rounds and I am sure during the game it'll become one sided and not a long back and forth(depending on who is skilled)
Thanks for explaining the Gameplay of Rebirth of Souls and Now I can learn some of the initiate gameplay mechanics to fight the next anime renaissance fighters.
Now I'm excited great video
graphics are outstanding, way better than sparking zero to me. gameplay itself seems way more complex of arena games, it could've just been a 2.5D fighting game like tekken with lateral movement. but until i try it, i'm not sold on it, seems most moves have huge handlag even movement itself, and there's waaay to many stops during the fight. usually on fighting games like fighterz stops are for the supers, but there there's multiple phases and stops during life bar, it would've been fine with bankai, but slowdowns and other cutscenes are too much. hope i will proven wrong, because i love bleach and looks so good i hope it is fun too
1) Sparking Zero still living rent free in Rebirth of Soul fan’s heads
2) Tekken is not 2.5 D, it’s 3D
This game doesn’t seem to actually be an arena fighter like Demon Slayer or Storm, but more of a 3D fighter like Tekken. From what I’ve seen the characters can’t do a full 360 and look at the camera but instead are locked into position facing each other. Stuff like that usually indicates a 3D fighter not a normal arena fighter. It has stuff like walk, run, and 8 way dashes and side stepping so I don’t think it’s right if we called it an anime arena fighter, but that’s just me
At worst, it's a hybrid, I lowkey think saying it's a hybrid is sick lol
@@KaguraHibachi just like Ichigo
Facts it's not an Arena Fighter
I knew it was only a matter of time before you gave this game a proper in depth video analysis. The outrage you received about an offhand comment about the gameplay mechanics is baffling to me. I love bleach and while I am glad that you created this video, the terms used are not needed to convey gameplay mechanics. I’m glad they are incorporating them into the game but the average person can understand the game through basic fighting game mechanic terminology.
This is essentially Bleach Shattered Blade Remastered from Nintendo Wii lmao and im here for it tbh
Ok.... That was informative, great work!
The fighting system looks lit👌🏽 I need to see the villains though
This is a brilliantly edited video kudos
if you use reverse action during ichigos bankai, he gets his hollow mask!
As long as there’s different Soul Break Animations for each number the game should be visually fire
Honestly gameplay & mechanics give more of a fighting game/arena fighter feel to it imo
This is gonna be way better than SZ
LET US IN!!!!
Can't get here fast enough.
Can't wait to play this. Fighting system seems very deep and fun & ofc BLEACH!!!!!
Great job explaining the system mechanics of this game 👍
Charecters trailers r so bad I was afraid the game might be bad , but now I am very excited
I said something like that on your stream chat about the stocks at least, but at least the game seems competitive viable kinda
Reminds me of heat the soul and I love it for that
soi fon will probably have an ability in shikai where if u use the kikon move once it doesnt give the plus one but it marks them and if u use it again theyre dead
The Top 4 Types In
Tiers.
Top Tier Characters
Are Going To Be Long Ranged & Technique.
Characters. Like Byuakuya,Gin,Renji And Uryu.
2nd Best Are Going To Be Speed And Quick Meter Building Characters. Like Youruichi,Soi-Feng And Etc.
3rd Best Are Going To
Be Big Damage,Close Ranged And Armored Characters.
There Might Be Better Power
Characters Revealed Other Than Chad. However The Power And Armor Characters. Are Still Going To Be The 3rd Best Type In The Meta.
Ranged characters look broken for sure. Especially fast like Gin
@@Mira-cchi Agreed.👍
I might be completly wrong but isnt it said that this game is NOT arena fighter because u are always facing your opponent. Its more close to 3D fighter like tekken but with up and down movement added as bonus
They got Roman Cancels in Bleach now 😯😱
It seems to be a fantastic game!I am really looking forward to play it as soon as it is released!❤
So far its looking like
Ichigo: easy, close combat with buffs
Rukia: possibly a combo master with a ton of kido
Byakuya: Weapon stance switching for close or range with superior keep away
Uryu: Pure Zoner
Chad: Guard breaking and heavy one shots
Gin: Massive Tip game centered around counters and sneaky backshots leading to increases length and tip damage
Rangiku: Total troll style through kido designed to fuck with you
Toshiro: Hyper aggressive style
Kisuke: bit of everything with buffs
Yoruichi: Speed master with superior movement
just with the small info we've gotten, they seem to have captured the actual styles of them from the series (except maybe Kisuke)
If they are actually going deeper than surface level arena crap, this could be worth a buy, I already am more interested in this than Sparking which I'm not getting so I'll be keeping up with this one.
Globku amazing breakdown the system makes sense now
I look at like rounds
If u take 2 default and seems to go into evo after then it increases to 4-6 u still have to take the last 1-3 souls so thats 3 rounds max its really smart honestly complex like how bleach is supposed to but simple once understood
U have 9 souls
U take 2-3 maybe 4
End of Round 1 basically
U repeat
End of Round 2
Might go to 3 and beyond but a good matchup might have like 4 plus rounds which is dope to me it feels like they took inspiration from sparking zero, budokai,Guilty gear and Tekken which would be awesome if they did but maybe cause i love those games that i can see some things from those games in this game regardless this foundation is great for the possibility to be a bit competitive
Genuinely interested in a game genre I thought I was done with back in 2018
The Rukia thing could be what you referred to in the previous video with the balancing of her shikai to byakuyas bankai
Reminds me of Dissidia but Bleach
U can have my money 📈📈📈
Its a fighting game disguised as an arena fighter
It’s an arena fighter there is no disguise, yall are so desperate for this to be competitive it’s not.😂
@@Zamasu-op7zz dragon ball super is not canon :)
Yes, thank you!
It's way more interesting than I thought 😮
I wonder if sublimation or spirit drive will be when Uryu can reawaken into letz stile
It's like a hybrid of multiple fg genre. Very interesting.
So basically sublimation is shikai and spirit drive ins bankai I can’t wait to see how this play out with the arrancars and vizards
It's a fighting game not an arena fighter
Coping at its finest.😂
Definitely going to main Nnoitra.
Konpaku? Reishi?
Are we making up words now?
I understood the reference 🤣
Ohhh i thought the block break was something else
Godlike analysis
Bros, imagine shinji with his ost as he puts his mask on on awakening....im gonna go apesh*t
Great video
