In the novels its effectively stated that their number as a privaron is 100 lower than what it was as an espada, lol. The dude ichigo fought, dordonii, was 103, so he had nel's spot either before or after she got knocked out, and then halibel took his spot
Naturally, they're weaker than Aizen's artificially evolved Espada, just like Nell _used_ to be 3rd in her time but isn't comparable to Harribel's current 3. But the three digits are still a sign of demotion rather than a strict indication of their actual power, as stated by Tousen himself in chapter 250 of the manga instead of the novels ("A three-digit number is a sign of demotion. It denotes Espada who have been stripped of their rank). Which makes sense, as otherwise Ichigo wouldn't have needed to go up to at least Bankai to defeat Dordonni (#103) if he were weaker than Harribel (#3) by an actual full hundred digits worth of power.
Facts because bleach has alot of of characters so im hoping they try their best to put as much people as they can otherwise this game will fall short very quickly which I don’t want because we won’t be getting another game anytime soon
The way you predicted the roster is actually clever but i think you should've had in mind the major fights in each arc. If you could make a list of the mandatory fights to tell the story, i think you would've have a better roster prediction. I feel like this prediction is a bit flawed since you don't really have much knowledge on bleach and thats completely fine. Still a nice watch. I will leave my thoughts : -If you have Yoruichi playable you need to have Soi fon. Yoruichi first major fight was vs Soi fon and during the arrancar arc Soi fon has one of the major fights. Soi fon is 100% confirmed when she also has a completely diff fighting style than any other character besides Yoruichi. But i understand ur point since the green spot also made sense -Kira or even Shuhei is above Yumichika, i feel like they have more important fights that connect well with other characters. Oh and also, they have more interesting zanpakuto's that could make a more unique character than Yumichika. For some reason i think that if they make Yumichika playable at the base roster, Ganju needs to be there as well. -You did Szayelaporro dirty. He for sure should've been higher for how much you can milk his fights to extend the story. You can have 3diff story fights vs him (vs Uryu, vs Renji, vs Mayuri). He atleast should've taken Ukitake spot, ukitake doesn't have a really important fight comparing with the other spots

He's been one of the bigger captains story wise for a while and has a fun shikai to play with if it's only going to go up to the arrancar arc. Plus he was involved in one of the most memorable curb stomps in early bleach. Him wanting to throw Kira under the bus was weird too since Kira's one of the most significant lieutenants in the manga.
My stance is bare minimum 30+, maybe 40+. Solely on the fact that Shattered Blade had 32 back on the Wii and mostly just covered the Seireitei arc with teases to the Espada arc with Ulquiorra and Grimmjow there.
I am wondering how they will do the story mode some justice though. Since that will require the game to still have a ton non playable enemy characters. And since they will end up making models and movesets for those anyway. Those might end up being DLC characters since they will need just a little effort to them fully playable

"Most Arena fighters", have the basic "assist only characters", story mode only characters, some arena fighters have mob characters you can beat up in story mode etc. For Bleach, do you expect "all hollows" to be actually Playable??. And since it is "covering a big span of the story". They will probably only "choose a limited amount to be playable" so Definitely there will be "characters that will only appear in "cuts scenes and story mode". Heck even basic "fighting game has non playable characters especially if it is a franchise that has a lot of characters that they can't add all in one game. Like the Granblue Fantasy Versus, where we have big popular characters that "are not playable", but are fightable enemy in storymode. In Hinokami Chronicles, a lot of the Demons you fight in story mode "ARE NOT PLAYABLE". Like you do expect Ichigo's classmates to be playable??? Like Keigo, Arisawa, and Mizuiro???. Id rather have a game that has 60 characters and plays meh than 10 playable characters and plays like mortal combat you can always balance the game later, adding characters in dlc 3 per year
Instead of Ayon being playable, I think having the Tres Bestias be playable as one character is more of a chance of happening. Their play style and combos could be similar to how pain summons his other 5 selves to assist him in a fight like in the Storm games. Also, Ayon could then be their transformation if they were to have one. I do think that Appaci would be the main one of the Tres Bestias. I could also see a move or something similar to a Cero being charged up with then all 3 of them firing it towards your opponent.
@animecraze556 this is a great idea, them summoning Ayon was dope in the anime and would look sick in-game too. If we're lucky, we'll get the scene where Yama blasts a hole in his chest too lol
I disagree on Final Getsuga Ichigo take, in soul resurrection he is his own character, and for story reasons makes sense to him be separate from the base Ichigo and full hollow Ichigo These 3 Ichigo is basically 100% confirmed being playable (the half masked appears way less than them in games)
Damn i really hope there at least 60 characters base game and with dlcaybe another 10-15 character, i think anything less than 50 would be a disappointment for me and bleach fams

I think glob forgets just how much the franchise seems to adore Shuhei, not even the fandom per se but he appears in so much stuff that he has no reason to be in that he just feels like the franchise itself loves to put him in things so im at least decently confident he would get into a 35 character roster.
Soi Fon’s a must have for me. Both because I think she has a cool aesthetic and power set, and because YoruSoi OTP. Idk if this will have any sort of tag team or assist character mechanics, but if so that’s gonna be my main team.
The issue is I personally don't want to pay for like 100 dlc characters cuz there's so many characters as is. The roster should at least be 30+ at base for sure though.
@@Legend_Devilman probably there will be more characters that will end up as "boss battle characters" in story mode. Recent examples is like DS Hinokami Chronicles. Most Demons you get to fight in Story mode are not part of the Online roster.
50 or 60 characters would be acceptable for the beginning of the game, since we know it will adapt by the end of the arc arrancar. they can still be more creative and add more characters and maybe divide them by arc

There were other things besides the movie characters that made it seem like that too. Honestly even if we OPTIMISTICALLY asked for 40 (much less then this), we'd still be strapped for slots for the "important" characters -Main 5 friends group (maybe even 2-3 versions of ichigo) = 5-7 -10 battle ready captains (leaving out unohana and juuichiro) -7-8 or so co-captains plus auxilary shinigami like ikkaku -10 espada -"Others" units x7 or so (vizards, urahara, yoruichi, white, etc) Totally already 39-42 characters

We can basically expect the roster of Heat the Soul 7 / Soul Ignition (Resurrección) which is quite alot and maybe a couple of more characters that were left out in those games.
They might do what Xenoverse do with variations of characters where they’re under the same slot but you just have to choose which one, that way it preserves space on the roster in a way
That is not what Xenoverse does. There's literally four separate slots for different Gokus (Base, SSJ4, SSG, SSGSS), and Goku isn't the only one they do this with. All variants have their own slots. Preslots with different outfits and abilities do not count as a variant.

If I was to take a guess, I honestly think they'll take the Hinokami Chronicles route with this game, and we won't have any Espada in the base roster. They'll just be story bosses, then sold later as a DLC pack. I feel like an Espada pack, Captains pack, and Vizards pack are just 3 easy slam dunks for them, and there's no way they'll pass up the ability to sell us easy characters like that, especially if it's a smaller roster.

Nah I'd throw away so many random characters (that aren't big fights) for the Hollows. They are just so much more fun then the humanoids especially if you can't remember those characters. It's kinda like in cursed clash how we couldn't play as the spirits that we could fight especially the finger spirit (who had a full moveset). Like with this potentially high roster size it just makes sense (I'd pay 20 pounds of DLC just for hollows and stuff like that)
My guess is 30~ characters, personally. Depends on if they want to be more individualistic and unique with each character, because that dramatically increases development time for each individual fighter.
I really liked the editing for the vid, good job there man! I think the prediction was very good, dont really have any big disagreements. All I want is for every character to have a very distinct playstyle- I know thats a big dream but it'd be so dope. I feel like Bleach is one of those anime ip where lots of characters also have a lot of unique moves and fightstyles. If implemented correctly, a 1v1 game like this could be so much fun
There could be another Uryu because in the reveal he has the bow that he uses in soul society, but he gets an upgrade in the arrancar arc where his bow shoots a bunch of arrows and he has those beam saber thingies. But what's weird is that in the reveal, Chad has the new arm he gets in the arrancar arc, so maybe another Chad, but definitely gotta wait for reveals to see how they are doing the roster now
@@sydz6681 why would Uryu transform from that form into that upgrade. Soul society uryu would probably transform into that form that he fought mayuri. Also with Chad, I was talking about how he has a different arm in soul society. So arrancar Chad will definitely have a transformation going into the big shield arm and then getting the white arm. Either both arms are separate transformations or together depending on how they want to do it
@jorthebjoestar chad will have 2 transformations. Base arm > shield arm > white arm. Uryu's form against mayuri will probably only be a special and then the awakening would be his arrancar form. Basically like mugetsu probably won't be a playable form instead will be a 1 time special
Heat the soul 7 had 84+ characters. I can guarantee you Rebirth of Souls wont have anywhere close to that amount but it would be good to have it though.
Honestly, just take Ichigo, Uryuu and Rukia's opponents from each arc and sprinkle in some characters that are high on the popularity polls like Hitsugaya and you've probably got the entire roster.
Anybody that fought Ichigo will 100% be playable. The only exception might be grandfisher, but he is the first big fight in the series; it’s a 50/50 chance.
The only reason I think he has a chance to be playable is that he also "fights" Isshin later on, but even then I just don't think he's worth the character slot if it's a small-medium sized roster(I'd struggle even putting him on a 50 character roster).

In assuming the various ichigos we get: 1) Substitute Shinigami Ichigo: We know that's where the game starts. We've seen Grand Fischer so I think it'd be pretty ballsy (and lazy) for them to just throw full Shikai Ichigo in a story battle against him. (though the only Uryu we've seen thus far is the reigai glove one so...) 2) Soul Society Ichigo: Your average Ichigo as been seen in every trailer. 3) Arrancar Arc Ichigo: An Ichigo that probably either starts already in Bankai and moves through his hollow forms (I assume this will be the case) OR starts in Shikai and more easily goes through his Hollow forms (ala, doesn't have White take over him). His 'arrancar/full hollow' form will probably be his end state. *wishful thinking variants* 4) Dangai Ichigo: Moving from his final bankai to Final Getsuga Ichigo via his transformations. I would almost think this to be a story exclusive character but who knows. *related others* 5) White: It would be nice to see white have a transition similar to Soul Society Ichigo going from shikai -> bankai; however I think it'd also be cool to have him to bankai -> arrancar/full hollow as he did during Ichigo's final getsuga training. 6) Zangetsu: Ichigo does fight Zangetsu several times throughout the series so it would not surprise me to see him in the roster. I would love for them to go bold and do Old Man Zangetsu as Shikai -> Young Zangetsu as Bankai, potentially even further via fusing with White. Who knows though. They're being awfully cagey with what they're showing in their videos which speaks as either disastrously bad/lazy or a bleach game filled with goodies, easter eggs, and respectful nods to the source material they dont want yet to spoil.
I would love at least 65 characters in the roster but I'm going to guess we're only getting around 40-50. Ichigo and his friends, kisuke, yoruichi, aizen, gin, kaname, the soul reaper captains, vizoreds, renji, rukia, shuhei, rangiku, izuru, ikakku, yumichika, different ichigo forms, the espada, and nel. I don't see them including other arrancar or priveron espada.

I think that the roster will likely be near 38-42 characters and that there will be characters in the story mode but not as playable in the base roster (like Kon, Grand Fisher or Shrieker while Ganju and/or Don Kanonji will be the goofy characters). Can't wait to see how Tamsoft will integrate the transformations and certain abilities in the gameplay (theycan take ideas from Dark Souls, Blade Battlers and Heat The Soul to implement on Rebirth os Souls). But of course, there will be business (controversial) decisions such as Nel, Matsumoto, and/or Haliibel as DLC characters because of course there is going to be DLC and there are perfect candidates (I also think in Hisagi, Kira, and/or Luppi as DLC too), hell I even think that Ulquiorra and Gin could be a bonus DLC (same situation as Illumi and Neferpitou in HxH Nen Impact in which both are really popular characters and perfect for a DLC). I think that Wonderwice, Dordoni, Rose, Kensei, and/or Cirrucci could be part of the base roster. Vizards will be Hirako and Hiyori. I only see Ukitake, Nanao, Yachiru, and/or Unohana appearing in the story mode but not playable until a sequel. I can see pre-orders of "skins" such as Dark Rukia and "Hell Movie or Old Man Zangetsu coat/attire/Frankenstein for Ichigo too. P.S.: I would love to see Gintoki from Gintama as a DLC character due to the funny chemistry between him and Ichigo in a lot of marketing campaigns/commercials/promotions. Hell if Lars from Tekken could be part of the Naruto Storm roster, Gintoki could be part of a Bleach roster. I mean, "only the Soul Society can judge Gintoki" xd.
Hisagi is a must for me. He was the protagonist in the Bleach sequel series Cant Fear Your Own World, great Shikai for a fighting game and is a beloved vice captain. Maybe not mandatory but second roster for sureeee
If the game is very story based I think it’s required for all Espada, all vizards, all captains and all the main story KT characters should be playable no matter what. It is a next gen game and will not struggle with a big roster.
thats the thing people are making rosters based on opinions but they forget alot of characters are important story wise like nearly all the vizards and espadas, the captains are a must have due to the fake arc, the only ones that shouldn't be in the game is joke characters and tybw due to them not buying the license for it
i really hope that they tie the transformations or powerups to a catch up mechanics. not just because it would make the party arena game too swingly but because doing that takes the wins out of your sails. at least it did for me when i played naruto ultimate ninja 5
Oh and unohana is playable in the 3rd phantom. It’s a fire emblem style game. There are characters in like shattered blade and 3rd phantom that aren’t in other games. Mainly game exclusive characters so they wouldn’t get in. Although some of them are designed by kubo.
I have a feeling the roster might be huge. Not sparking zero huge, but more like 80-90 characters plus dlc. And I say that because, this is the first bleach game we have gotten in years that covers most of the story from the beginning. Combine that with the fact people have been asking for a new bleach game for sooooo long, they could be going all out with this. And this game doesn't look low budget at all. Which makes me think this game could be a lot bigger than we think.
I think if they were able to add over 60 characters, they would have given us the entire Bleach story. If we're only going up to Arrancar that tells me they weren't able to give us enough characters to make that work.
We'll keep in mind, any time a main character needs to fight another character in the story, that basically confirms they are getting in, either as a special unplayable boss, or their own character. And I feel like popular characters also have to get in as well.
Could be lol. But also Depends if you watch dub or sub. I watched sub and I figure he prolly did too bc most the names that are common in sub, arent the names they mainly use in dub. Like ishida. I say ishida cuz that’s the main one used but I think dub uses Uryu more.

I feel like we're gonna be pleasantly surprised with this roster, main cast, captains, notable vice captains, surely all the espada, notable anime fight arrancars, vaizard. Then as exceptions you may get movie characters/Bounto. This is same company thats gave us like 30 characters before dlc Tekken 8 and giving us 160+ character/variations with DBSZ
So I personally think that this game will be the Bleach equivalent of DB Xenoverse in terms of roster size (no custom character or anything even though that would be cool). Like this is going to be the definitive modern Bleach fighting game just based on how it looks and how polished it seems. They really seem to be going all out with the animations and effects to make it flashy. Looks far better than the BNHA and KNY arena fighters. I also think if the game only covers up to Dangi Ichigo vs Aizen that it will guaranteed have TYBW DLC on top of the already large roster. If that's the case I also think there's a good chance of CFYOW DLC of Hisagi and Hikone but that's more copium. Really enjoyed this vid, would be interested to see another based on possible DLC characters like I'm speculating since hype DLC characters basically print more money for big fighting games.
I feel like the Roster has to be massive. It's Bleach. There are so many amazing characters, they should take their time to add lots. There are a lot of Bleach fans of a lot of Bleach characters that would show up for their favourites.
If they decide to do a big enough roster to have multiple ichigos then I believe those versions of ichigo if they're only doing from the start of the series to the end of the arancar arc it would be: maybe human ichigo, his first shinigami form, first shikai, first bankai ichigo with the partial mask as either a separate awakening/ultimate that you could switch out, full mask ichigo, maybe hollowfied ichigo as a separate version, most definitely vasto lord, and finally dangai ichigo with mugetsu as an ult cuz I don't believe it would make sense for mugetsu to be its own form over dangai
Pretty wild you don't think masked Ichigo will be playable when he has significant screen time involving Grimmjow and Ulquiorra, 2 characters that are essential for a game going through the defeat of Aizen.

This is my big issue is that a fighting game will have a limited playable characters so what happens to the Canon story fights that that involves charcters that are not part of the roster?? Are they gonna completely skip those fights?? or are they gonna end up as just cutscene fights? Like how will the story mode end up??
I do agree with most of your roster takes minus two Ukitake and cutting Mashiro; our captain friend how often does he fight in the story? Not enough to be in the game by that stand point, and he might be somewhat "popular" but not as much as some other characters; next if they include multiple Visors they will have all of them - not leaving out one at random. There also might be multiple Aizens btw. but since there is the 3 "forms" maybe """full power""" Aizen from that time, will be his finisher or final form idk But yeah again, hope the game will be fire - nice video m8!
I feel like some characters would work better as "Support characters" or an equivalent... Characters like Kon, Yachiru and Ururu... If the game has a support system anyway... Edit: If we imagine some characters working as a multiple in one, like Pesche and dondochakka, I feel like the tres bestias can be one (with Ayon as their ultimate); same for Stark and Lilynette. Maybe Yachiru can become part of Kenpachi's moveset?
the problem with aeon is you need the 3 arancar women for him to be there so unless they pull a fighterz and they are only in his intro animation i dont think you can have him without them
Genuinely surprised the game is covering this much of the story pretty much everything but the filler arcs and the TYBW. This gives opportunity for their to be an extremely large roster. But I would also guess that they wont release every character that they could, like all the minor arrancar and ex espada that could easily have fleshed out mechanics and unique movesets with. Kinda why I do not mind jumping on Bleach Brave Souls every now and again, there are so many different characters to play and the higher rated ones have pretty cool and unique visuals with their attacks (for a mobile game anyway). I ain't getting my hopes up for this one, but I also dont mind if it ain't that great, I have always just wanted a Ultimate Ninja Storm styled Bleach game and finally we getting it boys.
I think every major combat for Ichigo and his crew from each respective arc will be represented. Now, some enemies may be exclusively bosses, such as Grand Fischer for the Soul Society Arc. This means Every major fight Ichigo, Chad, Uryu, Rukia, and Renji has will be playable. Everything else is up in the air. That said, characters who aid them, such as Nellielle with Ichigo, have a high likelihood of appearing, as well as characters with ties to major villains or fan favorite characters, such as the number 3 espada and whoever she fought in fake Karikura Town (I think Hitsugaya and some other people, it's been a while and I didn't particularly care that much about her), and Shuhei with Tosen. Outside of that, I'd say is all really unlikely. But getting to play as Isshin would be insanely awesome. I wanna play as him and 1-shot grand fisher's arrancar form
Soul resurreccion is an outlier because its gameplay genre generally leads to way less characters. Almost every other game has more than it. For fighting games you’d expect much more since they’re easier to make more characters for. The other games that had small casts was because it was the beginning of series and there weren’t that many characters. Heat the soul 7 is another outlier. Like the storm series the roster got bigger across the games. If you look at heat the soul 1 it legit has like 6 playable characters. Just the human gang. This as the first of a new series most likely won’t have that many characters. Even if there are characters who are only transformations like hollow mask ichigo if they give them a different moveset they should still be counted since that will take development time away from other characters. Heat the soul 7 has more like 83 characters since the transformations are basically separate characters with their own moveset.
I REALLY hope that they don't restrain to just the soul society and arrancars sagas, that they add the fullbringers arc and tybw characters too, like how op burning blood included the new world characters despite being just marineford. I also would love to see novel, filler and movie characters, but that's extra

Have fighting games done full on expansion packs with a dozen characters? Because they might just make a full on TYBW expansion pack. The TYBW anime will probably end in 2025 and I doubt they would have a second game that covers the TYBW ready before that happens. But there are just too many new characters in TYBW so a 2nd game would be required. Or maybe a huge expansion that will basically be a game upgrade.
I'm on team 2nd Game. Fullbring and TWBW might not seem like enough content to justify a completely different game, but if they also potentially include Movie Content, the Hell Arc One Shot(hopefully by time we get a 2nd Game the Hell Arc will actually be something that's ongoing), and potentially Burn the Witch Characters(they could probably be DLC for either game tbh).

And Bleach will probably adapt the novels, maybe a movie and Kubo might even continue the manga with the Hell arc after the anime is over. So Bleach will definitely have content coming out post 2025 so a 2nd game will still be wanted.

In the novels its effectively stated that their number as a privaron is 100 lower than what it was as an espada, lol. The dude ichigo fought, dordonii, was 103, so he had nel's spot either before or after she got knocked out, and then halibel took his spot
Naturally, they're weaker than Aizen's artificially evolved Espada, just like Nell _used_ to be 3rd in her time but isn't comparable to Harribel's current 3.
But the three digits are still a sign of demotion rather than a strict indication of their actual power, as stated by Tousen himself in chapter 250 of the manga instead of the novels ("A three-digit number is a sign of demotion. It denotes Espada who have been stripped of their rank).
Which makes sense, as otherwise Ichigo wouldn't have needed to go up to at least Bankai to defeat Dordonni (#103) if he were weaker than Harribel (#3) by an actual full hundred digits worth of power.

The way you predicted the roster is actually clever but i think you should've had in mind the major fights in each arc. If you could make a list of the mandatory fights to tell the story, i think you would've have a better roster prediction. I feel like this prediction is a bit flawed since you don't really have much knowledge on bleach and thats completely fine. Still a nice watch.

-If you have Yoruichi playable you need to have Soi fon. Yoruichi first major fight was vs Soi fon and during the arrancar arc Soi fon has one of the major fights. Soi fon is 100% confirmed when she also has a completely diff fighting style than any other character besides Yoruichi. But i understand ur point since the green spot also made sense
-Kira or even Shuhei is above Yumichika, i feel like they have more important fights that connect well with other characters. Oh and also, they have more interesting zanpakuto's that could make a more unique character than Yumichika. For some reason i think that if they make Yumichika playable at the base roster, Ganju needs to be there as well.
-You did Szayelaporro dirty. He for sure should've been higher for how much you can milk his fights to extend the story. You can have 3diff story fights vs him (vs Uryu, vs Renji, vs Mayuri). He atleast should've taken Ukitake spot, ukitake doesn't have a really important fight comparing with the other spots

My stance is bare minimum 30+, maybe 40+. Solely on the fact that Shattered Blade had 32 back on the Wii and mostly just covered the Seireitei arc with teases to the Espada arc with Ulquiorra and Grimmjow there.
I am wondering how they will do the story mode some justice though. Since that will require the game to still have a ton non playable enemy characters. And since they will end up making models and movesets for those anyway. Those might end up being DLC characters since they will need just a little effort to them fully playable

They will probably only "choose a limited amount to be playable" so Definitely there will be "characters that will only appear in "cuts scenes and story mode". Instead of Ayon being playable, I think having the Tres Bestias be playable as one character is more of a chance of happening. Their play style and combos could be similar to how pain summons his other 5 selves to assist him in a fight like in the Storm games. Also, Ayon could then be their transformation if they were to have one.
I do think that Appaci would be the main one of the Tres Bestias. I could also see a move or something similar to a Cero being charged up with then all 3 of them firing it towards your opponent.

50 or 60 characters would be acceptable for the beginning of the game, since we know it will adapt by the end of the arc arrancar. they can still be more creative and add more characters and maybe divide them by arc

That is not what Xenoverse does. There's literally four separate slots for different Gokus (Base, SSJ4, SSG, SSGSS), and Goku isn't the only one they do this with. All variants have their own slots. Preslots with different outfits and abilities do not count as a variant.

If I was to take a guess, I honestly think they'll take the Hinokami Chronicles route with this game, and we won't have any Espada in the base roster. They'll just be story bosses, then sold later as a DLC pack. I feel like an Espada pack, Captains pack, and Vizards pack are just 3 easy slam dunks for them, and there's no way they'll pass up the ability to sell us easy characters like that, especially if it's a smaller roster.

I think the prediction was very good, dont really have any big disagreements. All I want is for every character to have a very distinct playstyle- I know thats a big dream but it'd be so dope. But what's weird is that in the reveal, Chad has the new arm he gets in the arrancar arc, so maybe another Chad, but definitely gotta wait for reveals to see how they are doing the roster now
You're forgetting that they have awakenings in this game which is basically transformations. Only ichigo is potentially gonna have 3 different slots

Also with Chad, I was talking about how he has a different arm in soul society. So arrancar Chad will definitely have a transformation going into the big shield arm and then getting the white arm. Either both arms are separate transformations or together depending on how they want to do it

In assuming the various ichigos we get:
1) Substitute Shinigami Ichigo: We know that's where the game starts. We've seen Grand Fischer so I think it'd be pretty ballsy (and lazy) for them to just throw full Shikai Ichigo in a story battle against him. (though the only Uryu we've seen thus far is the reigai glove one so...)
2) Soul Society Ichigo: Your average Ichigo as been seen in every trailer.
3) Arrancar Arc Ichigo: An Ichigo that probably either starts already in Bankai and moves through his hollow forms (I assume this will be the case) OR starts in Shikai and more easily goes through his Hollow forms (ala, doesn't have White take over him). His 'arrancar/full hollow' form will probably be his end state.

4) Dangai Ichigo: Moving from his final bankai to Final Getsuga Ichigo via his transformations. I would almost think this to be a story exclusive character but who knows.

5) White: It would be nice to see white have a transition similar to Soul Society Ichigo going from shikai -> bankai; however I think it'd also be cool to have him to bankai -> arrancar/full hollow as he did during Ichigo's final getsuga training.
6) Zangetsu: Ichigo does fight Zangetsu several times throughout the series so it would not surprise me to see him in the roster. I would love for them to go bold and do Old Man Zangetsu as Shikai -> Young Zangetsu as Bankai, potentially even further via fusing with White.
Who knows though. They're being awfully cagey with what they're showing in their videos which speaks as either disastrously bad/lazy or a bleach game filled with goodies, easter eggs, and respectful nods to the source material they dont want yet to spoil.
I would love at least 65 characters in the roster but I'm going to guess we're only getting around 40-50. Ichigo and his friends, kisuke, yoruichi, aizen, gin, kaname, the soul reaper captains, vizoreds, renji, rukia, shuhei, rangiku, izuru, ikakku, yumichika, different ichigo forms, the espada, and nel. I don't see them including other arrancar or priveron espada.

I think that the roster will likely be near 38-42 characters and that there will be characters in the story mode but not as playable in the base roster (like Kon, Grand Fisher or Shrieker while Ganju and/or Don Kanonji will be the goofy characters). Can't wait to see how Tamsoft will integrate the transformations and certain abilities in the gameplay (theycan take ideas from Dark Souls, Blade Battlers and Heat The Soul to implement on Rebirth os Souls).
But of course, there will be business (controversial) decisions such as Nel, Matsumoto, and/or Haliibel as DLC characters because of course there is going to be DLC and there are perfect candidates (I also think in Hisagi, Kira, and/or Luppi as DLC too), hell I even think that Ulquiorra and Gin could be a bonus DLC (same situation as Illumi and Neferpitou in HxH Nen Impact in which both are really popular characters and perfect for a DLC). I think that Wonderwice, Dordoni, Rose, Kensei, and/or Cirrucci could be part of the base roster. Vizards will be Hirako and Hiyori. I only see Ukitake, Nanao, Yachiru, and/or Unohana appearing in the story mode but not playable until a sequel. I can see pre-orders of "skins" such as Dark Rukia and "Hell Movie or Old Man Zangetsu coat/attire/Frankenstein for Ichigo too.
P.S.: I would love to see Gintoki from Gintama as a DLC character due to the funny chemistry between him and Ichigo in a lot of marketing campaigns/commercials/promotions. Hell if Lars from Tekken could be part of the Naruto Storm roster, Gintoki could be part of a Bleach roster. I mean, "only the Soul Society can judge Gintoki" xd.
Hisagi is a must for me. He was the protagonist in the Bleach sequel series Cant Fear Your Own World, great Shikai for a fighting game and is a beloved vice captain. Maybe not mandatory but second roster for sureeee
If the game is very story based I think it’s required for all Espada, all vizards, all captains and all the main story KT characters should be playable no matter what. It is a next gen game and will not struggle with a big roster.

thats the thing people are making rosters based on opinions but they forget alot of characters are important story wise like nearly all the vizards and espadas, the captains are a must have due to the fake arc, the only ones that shouldn't be in the game is joke characters and tybw due to them not buying the license for it

i really hope that they tie the transformations or powerups to a catch up mechanics. not just because it would make the party arena game too swingly but because doing that takes the wins out of your sails. at least it did for me when i played naruto ultimate ninja 5
Oh and unohana is playable in the 3rd phantom. It’s a fire emblem style game. There are characters in like shattered blade and 3rd phantom that aren’t in other games. Mainly game exclusive characters so they wouldn’t get in. Although some of them are designed by kubo.
We need the TYBW and the Full bringer arc. Not just the beginning
I have a feeling the roster might be huge. Not sparking zero huge, but more like 80-90 characters plus dlc. And I say that because, this is the first bleach game we have gotten in years that covers most of the story from the beginning. Combine that with the fact people have been asking for a new bleach game for sooooo long, they could be going all out with this. And this game doesn't look low budget at all. Which makes me think this game could be a lot bigger than we think.
The way no one mentioned Omaeda. Crazy bro. Soi Fon's lieutenant. Bro fought Barrigan, so I think he at least deserves a mention.

I think if they were able to add over 60 characters, they would have given us the entire Bleach story. If we're only going up to Arrancar that tells me they weren't able to give us enough characters to make that work.
We'll keep in mind, any time a main character needs to fight another character in the story, that basically confirms they are getting in, either as a special unplayable boss, or their own character.
And I feel like popular characters also have to get in as well.

I feel like we're gonna be pleasantly surprised with this roster, main cast, captains, notable vice captains, surely all the espada, notable anime fight arrancars, vaizard. Then as exceptions you may get movie characters/Bounto.
This is same company thats gave us like 30 characters before dlc Tekken 8 and giving us 160+ character/variations with DBSZ
So I personally think that this game will be the Bleach equivalent of DB Xenoverse in terms of roster size (no custom character or anything even though that would be cool). Like this is going to be the definitive modern Bleach fighting game just based on how it looks and how polished it seems. They really seem to be going all out with the animations and effects to make it flashy. Looks far better than the BNHA and KNY arena fighters.
I also think if the game only covers up to Dangi Ichigo vs Aizen that it will guaranteed have TYBW DLC on top of the already large roster. If that's the case I also think there's a good chance of CFYOW DLC of Hisagi and Hikone but that's more copium.
Really enjoyed this vid, would be interested to see another based on possible DLC characters like I'm speculating since hype DLC characters basically print more money for big fighting games.
I feel like the Roster has to be massive. It's Bleach. There are so many amazing characters, they should take their time to add lots. There are a lot of Bleach fans of a lot of Bleach characters that would show up for their favourites.
If they decide to do a big enough roster to have multiple ichigos then I believe those versions of ichigo if they're only doing from the start of the series to the end of the arancar arc it would be: maybe human ichigo, his first shinigami form, first shikai, first bankai ichigo with the partial mask as either a separate awakening/ultimate that you could switch out, full mask ichigo, maybe hollowfied ichigo as a separate version, most definitely vasto lord, and finally dangai ichigo with mugetsu as an ult cuz I don't believe it would make sense for mugetsu to be its own form over dangai
Pretty wild you don't think masked Ichigo will be playable when he has significant screen time involving Grimmjow and Ulquiorra, 2 characters that are essential for a game going through the defeat of Aizen.

This is my big issue is that a fighting game will have a limited playable characters so what happens to the Canon story fights that that involves charcters that are not part of the roster??

our captain friend how often does he fight in the story? Not enough to be in the game by that stand point, and he might be somewhat "popular" but not as much as some other characters;
next if they include multiple Visors they will have all of them - not leaving out one at random.
There also might be multiple Aizens btw. but since there is the 3 "forms" maybe """full power""" Aizen from that time, will be his finisher or final form idk

I feel like some characters would work better as "Support characters" or an equivalent... Characters like Kon, Yachiru and Ururu... If the game has a support system anyway...
Edit: If we imagine some characters working as a multiple in one, like Pesche and dondochakka, I feel like the tres bestias can be one (with Ayon as their ultimate); same for Stark and Lilynette. Maybe Yachiru can become part of Kenpachi's moveset?
the problem with aeon is you need the 3 arancar women for him to be there so unless they pull a fighterz and they are only in his intro animation i dont think you can have him without them
Genuinely surprised the game is covering this much of the story pretty much everything but the filler arcs and the TYBW. This gives opportunity for their to be an extremely large roster. But I would also guess that they wont release every character that they could, like all the minor arrancar and ex espada that could easily have fleshed out mechanics and unique movesets with. Kinda why I do not mind jumping on Bleach Brave Souls every now and again, there are so many different characters to play and the higher rated ones have pretty cool and unique visuals with their attacks (for a mobile game anyway). I ain't getting my hopes up for this one, but I also dont mind if it ain't that great, I have always just wanted a Ultimate Ninja Storm styled Bleach game and finally we getting it boys.
I think every major combat for Ichigo and his crew from each respective arc will be represented. Now, some enemies may be exclusively bosses, such as Grand Fischer for the Soul Society Arc. This means Every major fight Ichigo, Chad, Uryu, Rukia, and Renji has will be playable. Everything else is up in the air. That said, characters who aid them, such as Nellielle with Ichigo, have a high likelihood of appearing, as well as characters with ties to major villains or fan favorite characters, such as the number 3 espada and whoever she fought in fake Karikura Town (I think Hitsugaya and some other people, it's been a while and I didn't particularly care that much about her), and Shuhei with Tosen. Outside of that, I'd say is all really unlikely. But getting to play as Isshin would be insanely awesome. I wanna play as him and 1-shot grand fisher's arrancar form

Soul resurreccion is an outlier because its gameplay genre generally leads to way less characters. Almost every other game has more than it.
For fighting games you’d expect much more since they’re easier to make more characters for.
The other games that had small casts was because it was the beginning of series and there weren’t that many characters.
Heat the soul 7 is another outlier. Like the storm series the roster got bigger across the games. If you look at heat the soul 1 it legit has like 6 playable characters. Just the human gang.
This as the first of a new series most likely won’t have that many characters.
Even if there are characters who are only transformations like hollow mask ichigo if they give them a different moveset they should still be counted since that will take development time away from other characters. Heat the soul 7 has more like 83 characters since the transformations are basically separate characters with their own moveset.
I REALLY hope that they don't restrain to just the soul society and arrancars sagas, that they add the fullbringers arc and tybw characters too, like how op burning blood included the new world characters despite being just marineford. I also would love to see novel, filler and movie characters, but that's extra
If a character had a fight in the soul reaper arc, and the hueco mundo arc I believe they will be in the roster, like Mayuri.

Have fighting games done full on expansion packs with a dozen characters? Because they might just make a full on TYBW expansion pack. The TYBW anime will probably end in 2025 and I doubt they would have a second game that covers the TYBW ready before that happens. But there are just too many new characters in TYBW so a 2nd game would be required. Or maybe a huge expansion that will basically be a game upgrade.

Fullbring and TWBW might not seem like enough content to justify a completely different game, but if they also potentially include Movie Content, the Hell Arc One Shot(hopefully by time we get a 2nd Game the Hell Arc will actually be something that's ongoing), and potentially Burn the Witch Characters(they could probably be DLC for either game tbh).

And Bleach will probably adapt the novels, maybe a movie and Kubo might even continue the manga with the Hell arc after the anime is over. So Bleach will definitely have content coming out post 2025 so a 2nd game will still be wanted.

Honestly 25 is far too low for a game that covers until the end of the Arrancar Arc. Around 40 is the minimum we should be working with.
I mean the roster is solid but there has to be more Quincies either main roster or dlc. One cause People like Bambietta is very popular and it’d put more diversity in playstyle
