Reading all these comments make me cry because for years I thought I was alone and no one would understand how I feel. Now I realize how many people struggle with the same things I do. My parents are so annoying because I once told my mom something and she told all of her family

I have anger issues since child. My parents know it but don't try anything that help me cope better with this issues. They just address it and don't care about it. But when I am in rage, they all blame me and look at me with disgusts :( I really feel like I better to die when I am angry 😭

My anger gets the best of me. I can’t control it. I keep everything in until I can’t take it anymore and I just blow up. I call my girlfriend names when I don’t mean any of it, I just get so mad. I start breaking things and all it does it make things worse on me. I get easily irritated and have an attitude a lot. why would someone want to be with someone who does stuff like that? I don’t blame her. I wouldn’t either. I’m pushing the love of my life away because of my anger. I hate the person I am. I’m not happy with what I see in the mirror. I just want to be a better person for myself and my loved ones around me..

When I get angry I get very violent, with my voice, with my words, and physically violent... I always feel extremely sad after I get angry because of regret, I even tend to hurt myself to punish myself from being violent.

When I get angry, the first thing I think of is wanting to induce pain or break something. It is like an unstoppable force, I just see red. I wish I could see the warning signs before it is too late. I have really hurt someone that I love deeply because of my uncontrollable rage. I have gotten to the point where I know I need help, I am looking forward to my therapy session and possibly getting on medication. Stopping with alcohol has helped. Alcohol acted as a catalyst to my explosive behavior. Don't be like me and lose someone you love because of your inability to have self control. I will regret that for the rest of my life.

I am currently in counseling and it has done wonders for my anger issues. I have underlying anger problems that stem from places I never would have thought, and in grateful. Grateful to be out of the relationship too. If your partner doesn't want to grow with you, it's time to leave

I have a habit of destroying things when im mad at someone (mostly at school) if a teacher or student pisses me off (like today) I usually hit my desk, break my pencils, threaten random people around me and destroy my work cause when im mad I dont feel like doing anything im told. But at home I usually scream, hit the wall or hit anything really. And i wanna control that

I am almost confident that I have anger issues because of my parents. Once my mother gets angry, she starts threatening me or becomes physical, like grabbing/scratching or kicking (this happened to me the other day). As for my father, he yells so loudly that i have to cover my ears, he also starts throwing things sometimes and is just loud in general, but hes careful not to physically hurt anyone. Now i suffer from self harm when i become angry, or start punching the wall.
Edit: im surprised my parents are still married lol

When I was younger I used to get angry and then something clicked in my brain and I used to just scream and kick the person repetitively and afterwards I just cried because I was embarrassed and ashamed. Last night I remember how a couple weeks back I had one of those episode with my little brother who is six. It made me cry to think that I have not yet got over it.

I can't think straight enough at the moment to do the thermometer exercise, but it sounds rather useful. i'm just trying to get to some semblance of okay at the moment.

Im here because I normally lash out, like yesterday, my mother made a minor mistake when i asked her to do something, when she made a mistake i completely lashed out (my step bro was there and he stood up and left the room and i ran to hit him and called him spoilt and i kept repeating 'youre not listening to me this isnt fair) i started pulling my hair roughly, hitting my head on the wall biting myself, bawling, screaming. I blame my step brother and his father because I hate them, they do so much for me, but I despise them, i despise everything about them.
About another situation, school, someone was clicking their pen and I tried so hard to be quiet and tell them to stop clicking their pens it pissed me off, so much. but the teacher went up to me and said, 'stop yelling, detention' i didnt notice. I tried so hard not to hit them at that point i wanted to break their arms to stop them prom clicking that goddam pen,
Is something wrong with me, this happens 3-4 times a week.

I 15 years old and i tend to get in a lot of beef with others ,and say that one person says something that i find disrespectful i start shaking and screaming at the person and in some cases i attack them. And all that goes through my head during these situations are how badly i want to murder them and punch them relentlessly til they cant be recognized and i think alot about what i would do if i had a knife or any other weapon and after these kind of incidents i repeat the situation like a plot in my head, telling myself "I should have said that instead" and if I end up attacking them I can't remember anything of the fight, its like I black out, are these signs of anger issues? Cuz all I can ever think about is how bad I want to crush the face of these people, sidenote . I've been training martial arts since I was 12 and it is sort of an outlet for me to let out my anger

I think I have it... Here's a story that happened, nine years ago people.
One time when I was in the cafeteria with this boy, and he started teasing me. I was actually very-? Just my anger felt like it was rising Everytime he called me "bad names". I normally would just leave him alone and go on with my day but- I don't know myself. He kept teasing me everyday, and well- I got so mad I pushed him two the ground.. eh.. but after that he still didn't leave me alonee >:(((( so after he went two grab his books by his locker I pushed him inside saying "I'll get you out after class" and that was a "real" great day because after I let him out as soon as I went out class, he went two the principal's office :D... I got suspended for a week.. ye :/ and after I came back, to school HE DIDN'T LEAVE ME ALONE. When I told him to stop and he didn't.. welp he pushed me and, I got so-.. angry I just choked him without thinking.. (we were in the soccer field).. but I let him go thankfully :P... He probably wouldn't let me be anyways though, but I got suspended officially... :( That's my story that I wrote in my notebook I found a while ago I thought I would put it here?..

I get angry very easily. But only towards certain people, for example my little brother. We all know how annoying our little brothers but for me, he takes up a notch. When I'm losing at a game I'm usually frustrated, but then he comes by and says I suck at the game. Its really annoying and makes me feel like shit, but my mom always says its just a game. But for me its not that, its his lack of respect for me and I feel like the more I lash out at him, the less and less respect I'll get. I'm 18 and he's 13, so its degrading when I lash out at a kid, I feel like a child, and I need to grow up, but its so hard not too. Every time I see him, I shake, and contain myself. Before I was really bad, like at 13 I would hit my brother, but I learned not to do that no more. But everyday its like I'm bordering the line. I have no other way of releasing myself besides videogames but even that I can't enjoy

Have you ever got in trouble with law enforcement for your anger? I have come close at times but I won’t share that here since I’m using my real name and identity.
