Well, superchargers are kinda bad at power making, yes you can make just as much power with a supercharger as you can with the other two, but it also takes horsepower to make horsepower. The turbo doesnt sap power, it just takes advantage of supersonic airflow to compress the intake air, that energy is just wasted on an NA car, nitrous just sprays into the intake/cylinder, so no power sap, superchargers however, those are crank driven, regardless of whether theyre roots, screws, or centrifugal(most will probably know this one as a procharger), they steal horsepower from the engine to make boost, so they're the least efficient power adder, and centrifugal superchargers are absolutely worthless on street cars since theyre designed to function at high rpm, the faster your engine can spin, the more effective the centrifugal will be, but if youre putting it on an engine that redlines at 5-6 thousand rpm, youre not gonna be doing a whole lot. But for instance to make a thousand extra horsepower with a supercharger, youre wasting 400 horsepower having to pull the blower.

It still has to leave the car before intake stroke one can happen again, and if it has to now go through a turbo, than it makes the combustion cycle less efficient, as the piston has to work harder on every 4th stroke. Superchargers simply put a load on your engine, similar to an A/C compressor or a power steering pump. It doesn’t create extra wear and takes less energy to actually power, it uses more fuel, but mechanically the engine is meant to be able to drive many more loads than it has on it. So this idea that superchargers “suck” or they’re “obsolete” is not a valid argument.
In the long run a nitrous is more expensive n adds weight which u don't always use HOWEVER, u can choose when to put the stress onto ur engine so keep that in mind

Sure your little tiny low boost turbos MAINLY designed to get good MPG get better gas mileage, but a performance turbo designed for FORCED INDUCTION is going to get just as shit MPG as a supercharger. They weigh the same as superchargers, and centrifugal superchargers are the same size as turbos and require much less time money and maintenance to install.
A compound setup reduces lag significantly and doesn’t have parasitic load like a supercharger. You can keep a good torque curve with a turbo setup unlike an sc where you lose power at higher rpm’s.
Ima have to disagree. Theres only so much boost you can get out of a turbo no matter the size. Nitrous on the other hand... only limit is the motor itself
