I’m late to the party. Just learned about The Loop last week. Now I’m devouring all the content I can find. I’ll be binging your whole journey to learn as much as I can.
I have been laid up for several months after having back surgery. Videos like yours are what have gotten me thru the cold Ohio winter and recovery. I have a 34' Sea Ray on Lake Erie which should launch in the next few weeks. I love that your Mom and Grandmother and his Mom and Dad were able to share a leg of this with you. Your Grandmother looks and sounds like she is a bit of a rascal. I have a 90 year old Dad and he is bit of rascal himself. I have a lot of videos to watch to see your complete journey but look forward to it.
Get all these "first" out of the way and you'll have a blast. We've all been there and done that at one point. You guys are doing well! Really enjoying watching your adventures! So jealous 😂 Thanks for sharing!
We were just thinking this same idea, cursing south has been totally unlike the first part of leaving and while we are still learning the lessons are a lot less stressful and harsh. Thanks for watching Dominique!
Sounds about right list my grill grates it spun over, wasnt properly secure, top opened up and goodbye. Flipped dinghy, bumped dinghy off of swim platform.
What a memorable and great start! Yes, sitting at a dock with the wind rocking you into it is miserable. You totally made the right call to go out to anchor. Love your nana, she is a hoot!
Yes definitely jealous of being able to be down there on a boat. Mine is on land all shrink wrapped. I'm in Northern Ohio home Port western end of Lake Erie. Love and am inspired by your videos. Keep them going. 😊
Ah a little cold to be on the boat up there 😁 We have made it to where the butter melts (in real time) and are enjoying some sun in Vero Beach, FL. It won't be long until the season up there! Thanks for the support - cheers 🍻
Let me put a sleeping bag on that back deck and I will revarnish all that bright work. I already got a gallon of helmsman varnish and badger brush. Ha!
When the rain water was leaking into your V Berth where did you track it to and how did you fix it? I have the exact same boat that you do and have the same leaks.
Man, what a big day for you. You're going to do just fine in your new life, somehow we know this. Great crew you've got there, too! But idunno, looks like Ollie's the main editor though. Sorry, we're dog-peeps, so we can't ever NOT comment on Ollie. 😉
Dont let them down play the seriousness of rowing a boat. :)

Very cool seeing the mist rising from the water. So peaceful!
That's literally one of my favorite parts of boat life so far... the calm mornings ❤️

Haha she really is the highlight of the show. Hopefully we can pick her up for another cruise! It was definitely not a great night sleep that night!
Lithium and Soloar? Who’s doing the editing? Lol. Loving the series so far. Just started. Thanks for doing the videos.
Haha - thanks for watching Michael!
Loved following along on day 1! Your families are so sweet 😍 but Ollie stole the show in our eyes!
Ollie is the star of the show! 😁
Just love your thought process to start the great loop. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Don - we love having you along for the ride!

Hopefully your fix is easier than our complete deck replacement!
