Samsung S21 Ultra Sandwich Board Reball Tutorial. It was Water Damaged & Customer Needed Their Data

- This phone came in for No Power & we were tasked to recover the customer’s data. The phone had experienced some water damage & it stopped turning on. Initial diagnosis found it had a main short inside the sandwich.
I split the sandwich & found there was severe corrosion on the sandwich interposer pads. So I grinded away all the nasty burnt PCB sections & cleared the short, but now was the new challenge, reballing the 2 layer board so we can get the customer’s data.

To split the sandwich for this you used the Iphone heater around 200C with a dedicated plate or hot air station to full temp (400c+) ?
Is it easy to rip pads off this while spliting?

Hello, YOur sound is nice warm and clear. Their is some echo in the room, so some dampening on bare walls could make it more cozy.... PS. What cloth/paper did you dry the thermal paste with?
It's a cleaning cloth. I can't find the exact ones I have. But a papertowel works too

Right now I'm battling with same model. It has a short inside the interposer I have removed and replaced the shorted ship but I couldn't get it to boot. Sometimes the issues are beyond just displaying or backlight. I'm still trying to get the data. Samsung interposers are more complex

My phone keep saying searching for service which ik one fo the board is the problem cause i tried all the methods but they didn't work so the board is the problem for having no service but idk which board it is. If i can gwt a quick reply I'd know what to change thank you

My S21 ultra is not powering up, I dropped it and it went off, they said mother board is no, can you fix it while keeping everything in??? Is not about the phone, is about all of the info in it
