I have the Dunlop missions on my Ktm 690 enduro r. It’s more of a city bike for me and I got “tired” of replacing the knobby tires so quickly so that’s why I chose the missions. They have been pretty good so far and after 2000 miles I can barely see any wear on them. I would already be looking for another rear tire if I would’ve went with knobby tires again
I have one on the front and a Heidenaw k60 on rear. As far as gravel decent , hard pack and pavement , great . When Im in any mud , I feel like Im going to die any minute .
It's a 50/50. If you expect to be in deep sand and mud, get a 80/20. I found the raids to better than the mission on and off road. However, I "only" got 6000 out of the rear tire. The rear tread depth, when new, was only 5/16".
I’ve heard the Battlax Adventurecross AX41’s might be a good alternative 🤔 I wonder how they’d stack up to the Trailmax Raid’s (My Transalp is due to arrive soon at Beaverton Honda (yay!))
I have a set of AX41’s on my bike right now. They are better then they should be on the road. But not as good as they should be offroad. On top of that they ware out like snow in the sun 🤣Which makes it a bit off odd tire. They are ok. To live with. but i cant see how they would be “the perfect tire” for anyone.
I have the Dunlop Trailmax Missions on my Tenere and am not happy with them. They are not good at all in sand and that is mostly the terrain near me in SoCal
If only the bike was worthy of the tires. The transalp is truly, truly a marketing gimmick, aimed at street riders who want adventure touring style, but have zero interest in actually riding off road. Those tires are pointless on a transalp.
Marketing gimmick, or just targeted at those of us who aren’t hard-core enduro riders? Life is full of compromises. Just as with tires, within the range of options available, riders within the adv mc market fall into a range of skill levels and anticipated uses. A Ktm 690 might be your cup of tea, but not most of us who are looking for a long range traveler that occasionally wants to explore areas that are off-tarmac, and not interested in sightseeing in a hurry. Honda designed and built the Transalp to hit a broad range of potential buyers in the middle, and those of us with shallow pockets. Lucky for you, there are plenty of options out there in the middle weight segment.
Excellent video on the Trex tires and I think your videos are very good and projected positive light on riders in general
Good to know. Thank you. I really like those racks in the back. Looking forward to the video on the auxiliary lighting also.
Giving these a try because Dunlop says they are silica heavy (compared to Mission) for better wet grip
Do you have a road review? I’m having problems with mine. Speed wobbles at around 90mph

Shoutout to my homie Stick Thicky Clay!
I'm really hoping that term takes off 😂
@@DorkintheRoadSo you’re ok if we start using it then?👍🇦🇺
I love "stick thickey clay"

Good info.. looks like fun
I have them on my AT. I did the NE BDR and they performed WAY better than the stock tires. Lowering the pressure helps in the mud.
Thank you!

Was bummed we couldn’t get these in time for goaf this year. They look awesome
Love mine. Work fine in deep sand too
Nice can't wait to fully accessorize my ALP and get out there.

How are they in seep doft sand?
How many km they least?
Would a rear tire hugger work?
What tailbag do you use in this video?

It's hard to be happy with anything short of actual knobbies in sand
I got some knobbies for Chistmas :)@@DorkintheRoad
how would you compare those tires with the pirelli scorpion str ?
I am not a fan of the STRs. I like these better for sure.
Make a video about the fog lights
It comes out next week. Patrons have it now
All those upgrades and still have the plastic reflectors on….. pop those bad boys off and it looks so much better
Safety first. It is black.
Did he say "Stick Thickey Clay"
Thick sticky clay
Don't forget to Slop your dripper, Rinder-cella
Your tires have Chevy Logos on them.
"Stick thickey", that's Michigan mud.
Nothing works well on deep sticky wet mud.
But on such a poser of a bike. (Spoken with heavy sarcasm)
These are poop in soft sugar sand.
Take em on the sand please.

And how many miles do you have on one?
If you haven’t been on the bike you can’t throw out an opinion like that dude

Lol! Clearly someone who hasn’t even ridden one. Not once!
Kinda douchey…..
