Thank you for the review! Last year I fitted these tyres to my T7 for my trip to Iceland. They performed really well in all weather conditions and I will easily get 8000km out of them. They are not cheap but well worth the money. I will definitely be using another pair for my trip to Norway this summer. 🙂
I'm not sure how much they cost elsewhere, but when I check online here in Norway. they ware only 50 euros more than the mitas e-07+ almost every tire up here has increased in price the last years. So there is not much difference between the bigger brands anymore. Thank you for sharing your experience. Appreciate that. Can't wait to see how far mine last.
THE MAN, THE BIKE, THE TIRES, THE HELMET! (the set-up🤣🥰): nice personal review. Nothing pretentious, honest, just the way we like you. Thanks. it may not seem like much but your opinion is valued. Cheers mate!
I thought I know which tyres I put on next on my bike, and along comes TSHansen with another great video and throws my plan out the window 🤪 enjoy the new riding season (Diana)
Great review. Honest. I run them on my 990 in the desert and they eat everything. What surprised me is how good they are in cornering on pavement too. And they last a LONG time like 10k km’s. No other tire offers the best of both terrains.
Damn, that is some serious milage. I really hope mine will last as long. I absolutely love them, and when travel on tarmac I forget I'm on a knobby. They corner just like a street tire 🔥
Nice review Thomas, a really excellent tyre from Dunlop...for a 50/50 tyre the road grip is fab, in the wet too. I love having that feeling of total confidence in my tyres! There's always a compromise as far as mud goes, but my main usage is tarmac roads, little lanes with grass in the middle and gravel and chalk lanes. I have about 4 thousand miles on them and still going strong. Love that tyre changing machine! Cheers Steve 💚
Thank you Stephen... yes this is one of the biggest surprised yet. I'm really impressed how well they behave and perform for my needs. I'm the same, I really need to be confident in the tires I run with. Had some bad luck with the metzeler and after that, I think I will never trust them again. The tire machine is such a breeze 🙏🏻
Glad you did review. I have them mounted on my tubeless wheels for my T700 but haven't installed them. Our riding is similar. Wonder about a rally rear standard front. Mattias may try out a set on something. Liking the tire changer, will have to have one. I got all kinds of things needing changed every year. Nice having an old quarry around for practice. The Mosko suit looks comfortable. Much like out Aerostich suits. No frills basic tough. Good vid. Be safe
Thank you sir! That is actually not a bad combo.... I have a set of 908RR in the shed, I might try to mix it up in the upcoming trips. The Rabaconda street tire changer is so incredible. Makes the job so much easier and actually a job you are looking forward to. And I love to change between tires and try out setups and for what trip I'm doing. I'm not the guy who try to squeeze out every mile on a set. The mosko suit Is a great surprise as well. Some stuff I need to get used to compared to my old suit, but I'm getting there. Cheers
Really appreciate your excellent review Thomas I had already decided I was going to fit these, but your opinion has re-affirmed my decision. Really jealous of your rabaconda, that just looks sooooo easy, no sweating or swearing with that it of kit. Happy riding my friend 🏍️🏔️🏕️🌲🌲🍩☕️.
One of my favourite brothers 🙌🏻 Really glad you enjoyed this mate. And always glad I can help confirming the right choices. You will not regret trying these tires. I'm really trying not to be to ecstatic on the video. The street tire changer is the best thing I bought last season. It just makes the job so much easier, it makes it fun! Easy as that. Stay safe mate, happy riding and we talk soon. ☕️
Great video 😎 I just ordered sets for my 1290 SA & Wife’s 790 Adv for our Scandanavian Trip for Tire duties yesterday!!!😂😂😂😂 I feel even better about that after this. Excellent Thomas, Thank you:) Happy your riding season has started 🏍️💨🏍️💨🏍️💨
Thanks for your review, Thomas. One of our group for ACT/TET Romania has them last August and it performed really well in all conditions, while lasting longer than a Metzeler Karoo 4. Good we have more choice for 50-50 tyres than ever before. Enjoy your laps on the track, Günter/Nürnberg
Glad you liked it Günter 🙏🏻 And thank you for sharing that knowledge. I really hope they last about the same as my other tires, then this will be my new go to combo. Love it when completion get high like this. It means we as consumers are the winners. 🙌🏻
After riding 4,400 km on the Pirelli STR, I got the Mitas Enduro Trail XT Dakar because the Pirellis slowly no longer offer as much grip on wet gravel/sandy surfaces as the profile decreases. The interlocking of the front tire in loose surfaces when cornering also leaves something to be desired. And since my Tenere is actually intended to be used primarily off-road, it also needs sensible knobs on the tires. My opinion. In the past I would have said: 50/50 tires are only for the disco! 😉 I'm excited to see how many km I'll cover with it. Thx Thomas for your first impressions. Subscribed! Greetings from Nord Tyskland 👍
Hahaha 50/50 tire are only for the disco is one of the best comments I have heard in I while 🤣 brilliant... I should tattoo that on my arm 👏🏻 I'm really looking forward to see how they hold up myself. If I can get around 10k out of the rear I'm more than happy. Thank you for the support mate. Cheers 🍻
Cool review Tjommi, perfect to have that track to ride and test tires in similar conditions back to back. Looks like like a great ADV set of tires. That Tire machine... 💪
Thank you Tjommi.... I really want to get a tractor or some machinery to clear away all the gras that has grown, so we get a proper gravel track to play on. This was an old enduro track, but I'm not sure why it was not allowed to race on anymore? Really great tires and the tire machine is just so damn easy 😆 Cheers
Looks a tad tight to be a official mx track, could be more of a private track? When the kids grow up the grass also grow. But keep on to use it, that helps to keep the track somewhat in shape.
Good review Thomas. Right now I’m on my second set of E07plus, I changed in the end of last season. Next set of tires will eventually be those Dunlop. They sounds to perform a little better than the Mitas and I also like the design of the pattern. I know that function goes before form. But I would lie if I said that the look also is important 🙈
The mitas is a great tire as well, as you know I have ridden quite a few set of them, but these are better in every way (my first impression) They are so much more corner willing and feels way more like a road tire. You will not regret trying these 🙌🏻 Looks are always important 😆 I know exactly what you mean
Hi Thomas, really nice review. As tyre reviews are a special thing on TH-cam and ADV forums🤣 I like your ‘normal’ use case approach this is what matters to most and keeps it honest. I just ordered the Dunlop Trailmax Missions which maybe I’ll review too. But first I need to get these on the rim as they are known to be one of the hardest to put on. We’ll see. Thanks for the vid👍 and work you put into it.
Thank you Ricard 👏🏻 Haha yeah, tires, oil and what bike is always the biggest questions unanswered out there 🤣 I hear really great stuff about the missions, and I think I will try them myself also. Just so I can compare them and which I like best. The mission, Raid and 908 are a great lineup for our kind of riding. Cheers
Thank you so much. God sent me the wrong size TKC70 ROcks rear and steered me to this for my Rear and front is the trailmax mission I am running per some other feedback on one of the best 50/50 fronts.
Thanks for the review Thomas. Been keeping an eye on these after hearing Chris Moss singing their praises. Especially on tarmac. Can't wait to get rid of the Pirelli Scorpions on my Desert Sled. I just can't gel with them at all.
Thank you mate, yeah I have seen so much praise online about these tires, and I just have to stand in the same line. They are much better than I expected 👌🏻 I really did not like the Pirelli Scorpions. The front tire was dangerous on gravel. Cheers
@@tshansen I get no feedback from them. And (it might be all in my head) they feel hard! It's difficult to read how much grip you have. I look forward to hearing how they work for you over the next few months.
Great review. I have put a pair of those on my BMW 1200 GS a month ago. I have used Michelin Anakee Wild for many years and also the Anakee Adventure when driving mostly on tarmak. For me the Wild works well on gravel but I don't like them on tarmak, very noisy arount 80 km/h . I get at max 4000 km on the rear. So far the RAids are a lot better on tarmak than the Wild, both less noise and better corner grip. I haven't tested them that much on gravel yet but if they are the same as the Wild it will stick with the Raids. I also hope to get more milage farom them. So pretty much the same experiance as you have. Best Regards from Sunne in Värmland, Sweden.
This is really good experience to know Sunne. Thank you for sharing it and since I don't have any experience with the Wilds myself, but know many people who ride with them, it is nice to know hands down experience from someone who has. Cheers 👏🏻
Hi Thomas. I have now used the raids for 3000km, I think I will gett 5000 km on them. I must say that I'm very impressed by the handling on tarmak. They feels almost like a road tire at moderat lean anges. I have made about 1000 km on gravel roads and they are at least as good as the wild. I have noticed the slight short slips on the front that others have reported. I have 2.2 bar in the front now, I'll lower it to 2.0 and see if it improves. I was not clear in my previous comment, my name is Morgan and I live i Sunne (actually 15 km north of). Cheers
Very good review. I`ve been a huge fan of Continental TKC 70 Rocks on my Honda Varadero XL 1000. I now ride an KTM 1090 Adventure R with the same tyre and I`m still impressed by it`s performance, especially on wet roads which we have a lot of here on the west coast of Norway. But I am excited to give this Dunlop a go next time. Greetings from Bergen 🙂
Now around 2500 km with Dunlops I have to say that under Husky 901 Pirelli SRT is better what comes to grip on tarmac. So if you mostly ride on tarmac I recommed Pirelli. Pirellis wear out faster for sure, but they just grip harden more harder you push on tarmac. Dunlop has better sideway grip on soft and they really are 50/50 tyre for sure.
Yeah I really enjoyed the Pirelli's on the road as well, but did not fancy them on gravel. The Dunlops have found the sweet spot for me. Truly a does it all tire.
Hi Thomas 👋🏻 I saw them last year in the tire shop when I was getting new rubber for the Norway trip, they are one sexy tire, but very expensive compared to the Mitas I got, super happy with the Mitas, but next time if the prices drop a little I might be tempted. Cheers Mike & Erica 👊🏽
Hello mate. I mostly order my tires from an online store (or used to do that for the last couple of years) and the only difference now is 50 euros. The prices on mitas tires has gone up way to much!
Hi, Great review, I have just put the 908RR on my World Raid but looking for something more 50/50 for a trip in the autumn and these are on the short list. Would also be keen to know what the mini pump was you were using to inflate the tube? Thanks
I have a set of 908RR in the shed myself, will try them on when I know I'm going on a solid gravel trip. I think the Raid will fit your need perfectly mate. The pump I use is the Flextail - Tiny bike bump, it works great up to 2.0 - 2.5 bars. I tried to set the bead with it, but then the battery got flat, so I did not have the time for it to recharge. Will see how it perform trough the season.
Thank you mate! you should take a closer look at their 908RR tire, I got that in my shed for more gravel trips. Can't wait to test it out also. The Rabaconda tire changer is unbelievable 🙌🏻
Can I ask if you prefer these or the TKC80 tires… on the road and off? I have TKC’s now but I have to change them and I’m thinking of going with the Raids…
Well, that is a mixed thing for me. I really like the TKC80 a tiny amount better up front on gravel, but I like the Raids much better on road. Since the Raids is so great on road, and such a good tire on gravel as well, all in all I prefer these, compared to the TKC80. The Rear on the other hand, I like the Raid much better for both!
Great video! Wich ones are better you think.... the michelin anakee or the dunlopp trailmax raid? The both 50/50 but it seems the dunlopp have more off road power. Anyone??? Please let me know. Thanks guys
I can't tell you mate, I have not ridden on the Anakee Wild myself. From what I can hear in the community here in Scandinavia is that the wilds and the Raid are the top contester against each other and I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.
Sorry, but I can't tell you that, I have not ridden the Wilds myself. But I know that these two tires are the biggest contesters up here. I hear people who ride the Wilds that like the Raid better etc. So the only way to find this out is to try both, see which one you like most. Cheers
Hello mate. Go for it, you will not regret it. Yes I'm on my second set now, and have the third one in backorder. They are phenomenal on Asphalt and feels like a road tire. Highly recommended by me 🙌🏻
They do look aggressive 🤩 I got an invite for this year festival as well, but I'm not sure if I can make it (because of work) These festivals always seams to hit the weekends that is hardest for me to get time off. 🙈😂 But if I make it, we sure have to catch up mate 🙌🏻
I used the trail max missions many many times and thought id try the Raiders. "No Go" from me... they don't last. We got 9000km out of them, and they dead. So, I'm back to my old Dunlop Trail max Missions. I get at least 12000km on a set of rears... easy..
Hi Thomas, nothing beats Mitas Dakar when it comes to Kilometers, which was important for me when my first set was mounted 3.5 years ago (I never rode the Pirelli stock tyres on my T7). I'm now on Heidenau K60 Scout as most kilometers are on asphalt again, but small and damaged roads 😅 I was a bit surprised that Heidenau recommends a much higher tyre pressure than YAMAHA so this is something I have to figure out this season. How about your new shoes? There is only one disadvantage of long lasting tyres: I cannot ride so many different versions to gain experience. Enjoy the new rubber, Bernd
I think we are all there mate, we want to get as much km out of the tires as we possible can. Since most tires today cost the same, we tend to pick the ones that gives most value. I'm guilty of that myself. But I have always been really fascinated by tires and have had a huge interest in it. And after I got my own tire machine I started to test out more and do more comparison for my own liking. And I'm quite surprised how many small and subtile changes there is in some tires compared to others. But you often see that on gravel or wet roads. On dry tarmac everything is great today! Stay safe mate. Cheers ☕️
Sorry Sir, I have never tried the Anakee Wild. I know they are quite popular, but I never got my hands on a set. They was either really expensive or always sold out. But I guess they are something in the same ballpark.
It'll be interesting to see how much milage you get out of those. I've just fitted some anakee wilds to my Tiger 1200. Side note, what are you using to mount the gopro to the Krios Pro?
Nice first impressions. How many kms on the tyre so far? Looking forward to the second impressions. This was a bit early!? Of course it takes time to get used to. Especially since you have ridden TKC80 for ages. I would guess you need apprx 500km to get used to them.
200km on them so far and I'm really impressed how well they perform, but I mostly ridden tarmac. Going to Sweden 1. May and will be spending 2 weeks on the gravel over there. So give me a couple of weeks and ask me again 😂🔥 These tires will get a full review when I have worn them out. And I hope that I can compare them up against the 908RR and maybe the missions later this season 👏🏻
There are no MotoZ Tracrionator Adventures in the US at the moment so I’m slapping on a pair of these today for a BDR. Hard to be better than the MotoZ but we’ll see.
@@tshansen I hope so. I’m a little concerned about their performance in the mud. The MotoZ is amazing in the mud on a big bike like the GSA. A couple of expert sections should put them to the test. Fingers crossed.
Glad you liked it Philippe 👏🏻 you are very welcome and always nice to share my thoughts on stuff like this. I have yet to try the Karoo 4, they look really good, but I really hated the Karoo 3 🙈
Can you ride this along the highway at 140-150 kph? Had a TKC 80 once and it was just terrible. At every overtake it just started speed wobbling. I am currently trying to decide if I should get another pair of STR's or try out this one. I don't ride that much offroad here in central Europe.
Hello mate 🙏🏻 I have no idea how they compare to the Anakee Wild, sorry! I have never been a Michelin guy... last set I tried from them was way back when the road 3 was released.
@@tshansen Yep I agree the 3 are rubbish, I had them on a new bike and took them off. However I just ride the 900Gs and 1300 Gs at the GS Experience in Australia and I could not even tell they were off road tyres. In the wet too.
@@TallyHoTech i Get this impression from many people! That the karoo 4 is a while new tires! Not tried it but maybe one day. Still have a hard time trusting them 😂🤌🏻
How are your tires tires wearing? I need new tires soon, considering either these or the Motor Tractionator GPS's...appreciate any feedback sir. Thank you
About 5000 on them now and they seam half way! Will take some pictures later and make a community post here so you can see! I’m really impressed by these tires
Good morning, Thank you for these pertinantes information on these tires that I will use to replace my Mitas E07+ (+12000 km for the rear tire). I saw your pump, what product was it? Sincerely, François PS: I think I’ll be in your country by 2025.
well, I think the marketing are smart when it comes to rating tires, for me it is only 3 types. you have Road tires. You have 50/50 tires and you have gravel/offroad tires (knobbies) These are a great 50/50 tire. Works great on the road, but also does a great job on the gravel.
Bra test.
Antageligvis sett for mange Chris Birch videoer i vinter 🤣
@@tshansen Ja, nytt navn, høyere priser, dessverre. Enduro Trail Rally er gamle E-12/E-13, mens Enduro Trail XT+ er gamle E-10. Jeg skal sjekke ut 908rr.
Kjøre me samme dekk på min KTM 1290 sar.

Thank you Kenneth. I'm a huge fan of the 70 rocks myself. Works really well as an adventure tire, but you got to try this one. Cheers
@@tshansen I will do for sure. Safe Riding Thomas 🙂
Thx 4 your videos 🙏 Tom from Austria 🇦🇹
Thank you Thomas... glad you liked it 🙏🏻
Thanks for the great review. Currently running the TKC70 Rocks I am looking for a true 50/50 tire next.
The tkc 70 Rocks are a great tire, but more a street tire than a 50/50 tire. You should give these a try.
@@tshansen Yes, great on the street and not too bad off road when dry. I did some ACT Croatia stages on the Africa Twin last week. Was great fun.
Hi Thomas 👋🏻
I saw them last year in the tire shop when I was getting new rubber for the Norway trip, they are one sexy tire, but very expensive compared to the Mitas I got, super happy with the Mitas, but next time if the prices drop a little I might be tempted.
Thank you. I was using Karoo on my GS but add this one to my list of options .. What is the brand of the tool that you used to swap the tires?
I had the Karoo 3 and those I did not like at all.... 😇 The tire changer I use, is from a brand called Rabaconda
Very nice work my friend 🎉 I must say they wouldn’t suit my riding style but I think for the most adv riders this is a extremely versatile tool
And I love your rabbaconda tire changer
@ awesome, thanks for that! I do a lot more road riding than dirt, so you have helped me make my decision
Cheers
Hey Thomas. Having the same bike, I also want to try these tyres.
Are you happy with them after 5 months? They good on asphalt? Thanks a bunch
Hello mate. Go for it, you will not regret it. Yes I'm on my second set now, and have the third one in backorder. They are phenomenal on Asphalt and feels like a road tire. Highly recommended by me 🙌🏻
Thanks. Greetings from the whiskey brother 😀
I like the look of those tyres . Hope to catch up with U at lightweight adventure festival
They do look aggressive 🤩 I got an invite for this year festival as well, but I'm not sure if I can make it (because of work) These festivals always seams to hit the weekends that is hardest for me to get time off. 🙈😂 But if I make it, we sure have to catch up mate 🙌🏻
👍 love to hear your opinion after 8000km
There will be a more in dept review when I have tested them properly 🙌🏻
I used the trail max missions many many times and thought id try the Raiders.
"No Go" from me... they don't last. We got 9000km out of them, and they dead. So, I'm back to my old Dunlop Trail max Missions. I get at least 12000km on a set of rears... easy..
Well... I'm not sure how used you are to 50/50 tires, but 9000km is quite good and something I would rate as good.
Hi Thomas,
nothing beats Mitas Dakar when it comes to Kilometers, which was important for me when my first set was mounted 3.5 years ago (I never rode the Pirelli stock tyres on my T7).
Enjoy the new rubber,
Bernd
I think we are all there mate, we want to get as much km out of the tires as we possible can. Since most tires today cost the same, we tend to pick the ones that gives most value. I'm guilty of that myself. But I have always been really fascinated by tires and have had a huge interest in it. And after I got my own tire machine I started to test out more and do more comparison for my own liking. And I'm quite surprised how many small and subtile changes there is in some tires compared to others. But you often see that on gravel or wet roads. On dry tarmac everything is great today! Stay safe mate. Cheers ☕️
Hi Thomas. Have you tried Anakee wild for Michelin compaired to these Dunlops?
Sorry Sir, I have never tried the Anakee Wild. I know they are quite popular, but I never got my hands on a set. They was either really expensive or always sold out. But I guess they are something in the same ballpark.
It'll be interesting to see how much milage you get out of those. I've just fitted some anakee wilds to my Tiger 1200. Side note, what are you using to mount the gopro to the Krios Pro?
I'm really curious about that myself. I use the Gripper mount from Dango-Design
I'm really curious how you will rate them after your trip, I'm pretty confident you will be up for a pleasant surprise 🙌🏻
@@tshansen I hope so. I’m a little concerned about their performance in the mud. The MotoZ is amazing in the mud on a big bike like the GSA. A couple of expert sections should put them to the test. Fingers crossed.
Great video as always, but I prefer the travel videos 😉
Thank you, sorry I can't travel all the year, but more travel videos coming soon 🔥
Excellent review ! Thanks for sharing a very comprehensive and usefull feedback! My next one after going through my curent Karoo4!
I have not tested them in such speed yet, so i can’t tell! Maybe the mission is a better choice of you dont do as much gravel?
Hi Thomas,
Do you know how these compare to Michelin Anakee Wild, in regards to tarmac performance?
Hello mate 🙏🏻 I have no idea how they compare to the Anakee Wild, sorry! I have never been a Michelin guy... last set I tried from them was way back when the road 3 was released.
How do you ballance your tires at home ??
@@casper-zb1pp the wheel balancer from rabaconda 🤌🏻🔥
Thanx man 👍
Glad you liked it 🔥
Have you tried the Karoo 4s or 3?
Not the 4, but I had the Karoo 3 and I absolutely hated them, that is the tires I'm talking about in this video, that I did not like
@@tshansen Yep I agree the 3 are rubbish, I had them on a new bike and took them off. However I just ride the 900Gs and 1300 Gs at the GS Experience in Australia and I could not even tell they were off road tyres. In the wet too.
@@TallyHoTech i Get this impression from many people! That the karoo 4 is a while new tires! Not tried it but maybe one day. Still have a hard time trusting them 😂🤌🏻
Kawan video yang amat menarik. Teruskan 👍
Terima kasih banyak-banyak
If You released this video a month ago... I would probably buy them now. But for this season - I'm going to Bosnia on Mitas 07 set :)
Don’t be worried mate! The 07 is also a great choice 👏🏻🔥
what kind of compressor did you use to inflate the tube?
It is a tiny bike pump from flex tail
Good Grip in wet conditions onroad ?
@@thomasbinder5288 fenomenal grip in the wet 🔥👏🏻👏🏻
How are your tires tires wearing? I need new tires soon, considering either these or the Motor Tractionator GPS's...appreciate any feedback sir. Thank you
About 5000 on them now and they seam half way! Will take some pictures later and make a community post here so you can see! I’m really impressed by these tires
Good morning,
Thank you for these pertinantes information on these tires that I will use to replace my Mitas E07+ (+12000 km for the rear tire).
I saw your pump, what product was it?
Sincerely,

PS: I think I’ll be in your country by 2025.
I need to make a video about this pump, i don’t remember the pump right now, i’m out traveling! I will find that out later 🤩👏🏻
how do these compare to 606?
I have not tried the 606, i have the 908rr for try later this season
Nice video...😊
Thank you 👏🏻🔥
@@tshansen ;)
they cal lthem a 80/20 or 40/60 ? do you think they are more 50/50?
well, I think the marketing are smart when it comes to rating tires, for me it is only 3 types. you have Road tires. You have 50/50 tires and you have gravel/offroad tires (knobbies) These are a great 50/50 tire. Works great on the road, but also does a great job on the gravel.
@@tshansenputting some on the Africa twin !!
This tool is amazing where can I get it?! 😂 thanks!
The Rabaconda Tire Changer? Check their webpage.
Does it vibrate?
Not at all before you get to higher speeds. like 120km/h or higher. Then you feel a little bit of vibration like other knobby tires.
Muito legal o vídeo 👏👏👍👍👊👊😄😄🇧🇷🇧🇷
Hahaha, thank you mate 😂
can you give me the name of that tire changer again please? A link would be awsome. Thanks

@@tshansen they are not available yet. The normal price is 200e per set in Czechoslovakia 😉
Bra test.
Antageligvis sett for mange Chris Birch videoer i vinter 🤣
@@tshansen Takkar so meget!
Tubed tyres, how quaint. 😂 i thought it was only Royal Enfield Himalayans that still had them
Haha, ooh no! Some bikes still got them, and it is not that bad to be honest
@@tshansen Ja, nytt navn, høyere priser, dessverre. Enduro Trail Rally er gamle E-12/E-13, mens Enduro Trail XT+ er gamle E-10. Jeg skal sjekke ut 908rr.
Kjøre me samme dekk på min KTM 1290 sar.
