Yes, Hulk has literally unbelievable physical ability. He can run very fast, and can also make a running leap that launches him from 1-3 kilometers. And don't even get me started on the limits of his strength, because, so far as we know, there aren't any.

  • @Rainbow.Pegacorn.Cosplay

My favorite thing about Hulk is that his strength is virtually limitless because his strength increases the more angry he becomes. But the third transformation in this movie is amazing. I love how we actually see his bones and muscles stretch and his skin turn green as it progresses.

Hulk is known for his Thunderclap and Super Leaps. According to Marvel, Hulk can go from Los Angeles to Las Vegas in three hops. That is how he went from Brazil to Guatemala in one day. While in the bottling plant in Brazil. In the shadows Hulk lowly growls, "Leave me alone." The Gramma blood of Banner causes Dr. Stern's brain to increase. He becomes the villain, The Leader. It is a tragic Beaut and the Beast love story.✌️❤️🌹

Thanks for another good reaction. So this is the point you need a warning about a couple of recasts. The next movie is Iron Man 2, but for reasons (mostly about money) Terrance Howard is no longer going to be Rhody, he is instead recast as Don Cheadle (funny comment when you first see him). While you won't see it for a few movies, they also recast the Hulk and he will be played by a very different actor as well. In neither case is it really explained, just a few jokes made here and there. In both cases I end up liking the new actor better, but it takes a little getting used to.

In general, origin stories in comic book movies can be tedious and repetitive. Most people are familiar with Bruce's origin. He had a popular TV show in the late 70s and the Ang Lee movie was less than a decade before this. So I think the MCU did the right thing by giving the cliffs notes version of his origin in the opening credits.

  • @lordmortarius538

The Hulk is a result of a botched experiment with recreation of the Super Soldier serum that was lost in the 1940s. Banner thought that gamma rays could activate the serum, but instead it unlocked a repressed personality, one created by all of his anger and rage as a kid after watching his abusive father beat his mother to death. Stan Lee said he likened him to a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde type character.
Theoretically there is no upper limit to Hulk's strength, as it increases with his rage. Abomination is about twice as strong as baseline Hulk, but as the fight goes on longer and longer, the angrier Hulk gets until he can eventually overpower him.
The reason Hulk doesn't talk much is because his mentality is that of a child, due to when the alternate personality was created during Bruce's childhood, and then repressed. Abomination wasn't created the same way.
In the comics, Samuel Stearns becomes The Leader as a result of his exposure to gamma, gaining hyper-intelligence and the ability to control gamma rays, sort of an opposite to the Hulk. Indeed, he becomes one of the Hulk's greatest nemeses.
The Thunder Clap is a signature Hulk move, creating a powerful shockwave that can snuff fires and whatnot.

You’ll find that there are many fans and non-fans alike who will put down this movie, some for valid reasons but a great many for questionable ones, but this MCU movie was my all time favorite movie until _Captain America: The Winter Soldier_ came out. It is very well made and even if the MCU decided to change many things in the next movies that you’ll see the Hulk in, I still greatly enjoy the Hulk design, the music and the great montage at the beginning (Fun fact: There was not suppose to be a montage at first. All the scenes in it were full scenes that were ment to be part of the movie but at some point they decided to shorten the run, a wise decision there, but also that since there had been another Hulk movie not long before this which already explained the Hulk’s origins, plus the fact that most people still remembered the old 80s Hulk TV series as part of pop-culture, that that whole start of the movie with the origins would have been too redundant and slowed the movie down too much, another wise decision! So they presented it as a montage during the opening credits; a wonderful way to make the opening credits interesting 👍)
Next up: IRON MAN 2. Another MCU movie that I adored when it came out! Can’t wait for your reactions (Which are FANTASTIC BTW! Love your enthusiasm and comments. Keep it up!👍)

As far as Banner's intelligence compared to Tony's, in the comics theres no question. Banner is smarter. On a scale where genius is 140 and Einstein is 160, Tony Stark is 270, and Banner is immeasurable. He got a perfect score on an IQ test when he was in preschool. Hes so smart, even unconsciously while the Hulk is in control,, Banner is able to calculate exactly how the damage Hulk doing is affecting everyone around him, and assert just enough control to direct it. He's able to calculate angles/density/volume/crowd patterns, etc... with such precision, even when he throws a car at a villain or destroys a building, he can do it in such a way that no one is hurt. He can do billions in property damage without injuring anyone.. However, much like with strength levels, they temper their genius down a lot in the MCU. MCU Banner and Tony are pretty close. You'll see as the movies progress and they work together more which is smarter.

Hi Tara, it's always a Pleasure to See You Again, My "Beautiful" Friend! ❤ Knowing-Now that you watched / recorded this months ago, I won't be-grudge you for not recognizing Liv Tyler ("Betty Ross") from Armageddon...but I hope you remember her now (after that re-watch with Jen).
You asked about Hulk's mind: why doesn't he talk and is Bruce (in any way) still "in there" when he changes?? Well, like the General explains to Blonsky: the goal was to create an "Enhanced" Super Soldier who would be in control of himself (mind & body). The "Accident" which resulted in the Hulk created something Too Powerful / Too Unstable to be Controlled. Whenever Bruce changes, he basically loses all mental-self control; Hulk takes over like a split-personality, but instead of being intelligent...Hulk's mind is more "Regressed" like a Primitive Caveman or a Wild Animal, driven only by his Emotional Instincts! Hulk can still recognize Faces as either Friend or Foe, which enables him to Protect the Innocent from harm. Most of the time, Hulk just wants to be free / be left alone, because he really doesn't want to hurt anyone or destroy anything.

This is one of my favorite MCU films for many reasons. No offense to Mark Ruffalo but I think Edward Norton is a better actor (see Primal Fear) and a better Bruce Banner. I also like the Jason Bourne-feel this movie has (the way he is hunted). And the climax between Hulk and Abomination Is still the best climatic fight in the MCU.

Sad Fact: Mark Ruffalo was actually the director Louis Leterrier’s first choice for the role of Bruce Banner in this movie.

If only the MCU had kept the same quality as for the first Iron Man movie and this Hulk, but hey, we'll still have those wonderful super hero movies to rewatch and feel the magic again.
Nice reaction and comments as usual, keep it up coming 😉

Well they did it just really depends on what personally enjoy. Winter Solider, GOTG, Antman, Homecoming, And Civil War to name a few blew Hulk out of the water. Iron Man one though is top tier for me.

Tara, i hope you can watch the actual first Hulk movie, HULK (2003) this movie picks up where that movie left off.

YAY! My least favorite entry in the MCU! I liked the script, story and effects...but the lead actor really rubs me raw, always, and I kind of think it might have been better directed.
